People love to comment on drag racing videos about how they could’ve gone faster and that they’d drive it better, but most of them haven’t ever raced at a drag strip. There’s a ton of variables that come into play. On street tires, a 12.0 is a very fast pass.
Bruh my car ran 12.5 consistently when it gets warmer I know I can put it at a 12.2 maybe 12.3 and mine is n/a with shortys cai exhaust and tune that's it why couldn't u break 11s
It was the only time I've ever ran a car at a track. Street tires plus manual tranny was spin city for me. The car is more than capable of 11's with a better driver, lol...
I think your shifting was actually pretty quick without beating the shit out of it. Considering it's the MT82 that definitely doesn't like to be rushed, I was surprised you were able to shift as fast as you did being you don't have much experience racing down the 1/4 mile. My brother used to shift his 5.0 a little faster than you did here when he raced, but now he's having all sorts of problems with grinding in everyday driving, problems getting into gear, problems with it staying in gear etc. He really regrets beating the shit out of that transmission to knock off a couple of tenths of a second off his ET. It's easy to tell someone they need to shift faster when it's not their car. I think you did great man. Nice run.
He used to shift his 2008 GT the same way he shifted his 2014 5.0 when he'd race it, and he never had the problems he's been having with the MT82 by the way.
That Buick is FAST for a 2-valve 3.8 liter. Respect these guys. Right on the bumper of a blown 4-valve 5 liter.

The Buick chillin in the sideview mirror cracks me up
Lol, me too!
Hey I also have a 2014 gt/cs. what kind of tune you have on your car? and what tires were you on?
Peter Choe My car is VMP tuned. Tires are 20 inch Nitto Invo 295. Thanks for watching!

Nick Zimmer what's the car making to the wheels and yea set of et streets or full slicks
+Benjamin Fraire Car made 552 whp when I had it dynoed
Bro e85 tune will get ya to the mid 6s and u should be making low to mid 11 sec passes
What was ur trap speed for the 1/4
+Benjamin Fraire Yeah, I know there's stuff that can be done... But itll never run as fast as an automatic....
Is that the tune that Justin sent you? Did you get in dyno tunes? Any revisions?
I have the stage 3 with an 82mm Pulley and my cars pull is insane.
Yes I have Justin's tune in the car. He looked at the datalogs and revised it three times. No dyno tune just what I got from Justin...
could have knocked a second off of that time by just shifting faster. the he'll were you doing? making breakfast or something?
never claimed I was a drag professional. with 4 whole 1/4 miles passes in my life I know I suck. thanks for your concern there buddy.
+Nick Zimmer just work on it. I like to see improvement.

I didn't take into account your mods and your 122 mph trap speed though. Now I have no idea what gearing you had lol.
