I agree with PoG that the MCU has been an incredible feat of filmmaking. Regardless of what people personally feel about the films, those first three phases were 23 movies that were almost universally critically and commercially successful, telling a story that weaved characters in and out, and felt like a connected universe. That also ended on a very satisfying note that people almost universally enjoyed. That has not happened in film, and will likely never happen again. The fact that we see so many other studios attempt the same thing and fail shows how difficult it was to do. The fact that the MCU is now "enjoyable and mostly successful movies" is only seen as a failure because of the very high bar they set.
