alchhol isnt the problem the problem is the same as every problem in britain the absolute state of the people runnung the country who make trillions of pounds from alchohol and tobacco
I dont really agree with making ANY plants illegal. It seems ridiculous, particularly when the plant in question is or was such value in the production of fabrics, ropes, carpets, stiffeners, upholstery, much of which were replaced by plastics and man made fibres (again plastics) to fill the gap from farmers not growing hemp. The UK government itself is the biggest grower (under government licence) of cannabis in the country. "as of 2016 the United Kingdom was the world's largest exporter of legal cannabis.". There seems to be some contradiction as cannabis has been used as a medicine for thousands of years. The biggest issue in UK is actually alcohol, and recently pharmaceuticals and medicines called "vaccines" that have adverse effects on health and excess deaths, but the government make billions in taxes from Alcohol and investments in pharmaceuticals. However, nobody has ever died from use of cannabis, but many die every day from use of alcohol and pharmaceuticals.

I live in the state of Maine in the US. We've had medical cannabis for over 20yrs and legal recreational shops for 21+ for quite a few years as well(though the law is you pretty much can't get denied for medical)and it's been the biggest boon to our poor state since the logging industry boom many decades ago with very few downsides. Honestly the only downside I've seen is the trash of their pot purchases on the ground here and there(which bugs me). Just in my small 25k pop city it's brought dozens of small and medium businesses, old buildings being repurposed, old farms being repurposed, tons of tax money, thousands of jobs, a chill culture that's overtaken the drinking culture which I'm sure you BritBros know is a problem with cold climates with mostly blue collar workers and the drink and the issues it causes...The cannabis has helped very noticeably in a short time. And so many find that cannabis cured something that was ailing them or making their life not as good as it could be like they eat better or sleep better for eg...I could go on about the boons of cannabis for adults. And when it's legal you can test it...The black market doesn't test anything. The one thing I really would suggest to people who are in charge of setting up legal cannabis sales is the obvious one of doing testing of each crop for things like mold and chems but enshrining into law that cannabis and THC or CBD products come ONLY from your country. No outside sources. You want all of that profit and tax money to stay at home. That part is so much more important than you can imagine. You don't want some "big cannabis" from Canada, here in the US or even freaking China cutting into it and there's the safety issues.
@jdgoesham5381 One day, our politicians will see sense, but for now, they still get the established kick backs and perks from the brewing and spirits industries. Some are probably major shareholders.🤫

I've never been a weed smoker; I had only had a few puffs friends gave me when I was drinking which would have been about ten times in over 20 years. Four years ago I had an accident, was in a coma and had neurosurgery, seven months later I started to have seizures, which were most likely triggered by only being able to sleep about 3 hours a night. I started vaping weed once a night just before going to bed after trying 3 different prescribed anti seizure pills and I had more seizures than ever while taking the pills as well as bad side effects, but doctors claimed it wasnt side effects, even though the pharma companies admitted to them. Vaping the weed helped me sleep on average 6 hours a night and the seizures became much milder, less often and stopped knocking me unconscious. I had an appointment with a medical cannabis specialist, but he refused to prescribe me and said I haven't tried enough pharmaceutical medication, even though I had already tried 3 different pills in a year. I found out that doctor who was a private doc for medical cannabis was also a doctor with the NHS

Worst representation for legalisation EVER! the reason it should be legal is because it’s already readily available everywhere in the UK, and the government could generate tax revenue and use the money to do good things
Cannabis is a medicinal herb that can treat a wide variety of conditions but it can easily be cultivated at home which is why the government won’t decriminalise it because there would be less people using the NHS to buy prescriptions.
I've got a mate who is in the Scottish Police, he said if he walked into a room and someone was smoking it, he'd take it off them, throw it away and he said it wasn't worth the paper work. I smoked it with him 30 years ago.
Walk anywhere in London and you will smell it everywhere on the street, from a house, from a club, rich or poor place, you’re going to smell it. Every shop sell paper that everyone uses to roll up a joint.
What would Starmers cannabis farm tax be? Be careful what you wish for. There will be licenses to grow it, tax on the sale of it and growing regulations etc.
The UK Goverment exports it for for all sorts of medical condidtions. Here you can get it via the private sector, for certain condidtions. You end up paying alot and most of it is bad quailty, so people end up going back to streets sellers as its cheaper and better stuff. Insane.
Make it legal and make the tax off it and release people who are locked up for selling it, we are well behind other countries who make money from it.Police it correctly like alcohol.
Uk is one of the world top medical cannabis providers,, grown in the uk too ,,so why can a government and pharmaceutical company's break the law but we cant
Jackie Smith was the one who made it a class B from a class C, she is now on the board of directors for Dalgety, based in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, was recently awarded a license by the Home Office to cultivate and distribute medical cannabis. Fancy that, she is a dealer now and a big one at that. They wont legalise it while they are cleaning up on it. Its a viscous circle for the disabled, its only available privately, it costs an entire disability allowance from PIP every month, they are cleaning up on peoples disability entitlements. Its a racket.
Anna is should be decriminalised but they shouldn't open weed shops etc. The UK is the biggest exporter of medicinal cannabis and Theresa mays husband is one of the largest share holders of gm pharmaceuticals, a company that grows literally tons of it for foreign export.

I'd legalise it for a number of reasons. If you use it your railroaded down an anti-establishment path due to it's legality. Add to that the financial benefits of taxing it and undermining the black market in the process. Finally It can be dangerous to use anything acquired on the black market, If Is regulated that would obviously require safety standards be met among other health related support. I also just can't get over the hypocrisy of alcohol being readily legal, cigarettes being legislated out of existence, gambling ads openly circulated and cannabis being illegal to the tune of Class B.
I think there’s a big difference between ‘grass’ and something that’s been chemically messed with. Skunk apparently has a devastating effect on the brain, particularly in the young, causing all sorts of mental health problems. Opt for the natural I don’t think staying indoors smoking powerful skunk is preferential, as apposed to going out, being part of society and socialising. Too many young depressed people out there. Just my thoughts for what it’s worth. 🤷♀️
Skunk isn't chemically messed with, it's just bred and selected. You can grow skunk like you do any other plant, no chemical intervention needed. But I agree there should be an age limit, maybe 21?
"grass" contains less THC than "Skunk" This was done by cross breeding different strains. It hasn't been chemically messed with at all. Get your basic facts right before spouting ill informed bollocks.....

If it's legal it can be taxed, you can charge income tax on dealers and it saves hours of police and criminal justice time.
The drug dealers all pay tax on their earnings anyways, that’s why you never see any Turkish barber shops being raided.
