Thank you for clear and concise video. It helped a lot brother! Although I do not recommend anyone use the premade packet place that comes with it. It has high fructose corn syrup so your best bet is just making your own it's very simple. I think honey mustard brown sugar pineapple juice a little spice ground cloves nutmeg to taste
The difference between sugar and High fructose corn syrup is so minuscule that it doesn’t matter which one you eat. They’re both poison and extremely detrimental to your overall health. HFCS is 55% fructose and 45% Glucose. Sugar (brown sugar included) is 50% glucose and 50% fructose. Almost identical. Every cell in the human body can use glucose so that’s not so bad but fructose can only be processed by the liver and the only way the liver can use it is by turning it directly into fat. Not good fat either. Visceral fat around your organs etc… Happy holidays though😂.
I've got my Smithfield hickory smoked spiral ham ready for this Sunday. I've tried them all. Smithfield is the best. Only thing I do different is to insert cloves into the ham (all over) to give it that extra flavor before baking on 275. Makes a big difference.
I’m planning on doing the same, as well as some slices of fresh pineapple. Not sure yet if I’m going to use the glacé yet, I’m thinking the pineapple juice might give it enough of a sweet flavor, along with basting a few times while it’s warming up.
Thank you very much for making our Christmas Day feast such a success! You explain things very clearly in a way that a person can actually follow you. Keep up the good work!!
Looks great. You can always separate the slices and drizzle the glaze down between the slices too - then finish cooking so it comes out crunchy and crisp.
Guys please for a better juicy ham wrap the ham with foil not the container! His way works as well, but I found that wrapping the actual ham came out much better!
In your video you stated that to preheat your oven for 250 degrees, but when I read your posting it's stated to put in ham after oven was heated for 325 degrees which one is it?
Can you please clear up some confusion? You say 250 degrees in the video but when you take it out of the oven it says 275 and in your comments you say 325. Which heat should it be?
I never use a throw-away pan alone. I ALWAYS put the throw away inside a regular pan or on top of a sheet pan for stability moving it in and out of oven. If yoyve ever had a throw away pan buckle on you and drop the protein or splash yourself or others and have burns on the boody....you know why.
Also after cooked you should put a cinnamon powder with glaze and cook that ham for 15 minutes and like U said baste it over and before serving and chug down that ham with apple cider soda. And good luck on trying 2 sleep that night after chugging a ham. No wonder all the dudes decorate Christmas all over home outside and inside. So U get drop dead tired after burning all the fat and sugar protein out of your blood. No wonder we are energized 2 get up early before sunrise ready for battle of black Fry shopping. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Great info so simply explained.
The instructions in the hell I’m saying I’ve been should be 275 yet you say 250. It’s 275 going to dry it out? Is it going to cook safely at 250. (Both at 15 minutes per pound)
Please help, does the prepaid packet glaze have pineapple juice in it? A family member is allergic to Pineapple. Go you have any other I deals for a glaze that does not have a glaze calling for pineapple.. Thank you in advance. All advice will be appreciated 👍
Mine came in it’s own aluminum foil. BUT it’s NOT for cooking! The ham is shrink wrapped in plastic. Remove all that stuff. Instructions state 275 degrees / 15 min per pound. So a 9 lb. ham is a little over 2 hrs.
250. Every ham is different. On the side of the ham there is a sticker you pull off with the what you set your oven too. It also tells how much time per pound
Thanks for being so clear and easy. I love how you come right to it and don’t talk it to death. 👍🏼
Thank you for this. My recipe didn't come off the packaging correctly. Couldn't read any of the directions. This saved my ham!

Sugar is OK but sugar made from corn isnt? Lmao.
Thank you
Wow so much for my Idea. Well noted on the pre mix.
Like the premixed glaze the Smithfield Ham came with plus you give very good instructions hats off to you.
I love pineapples, honey, or maple syrup, and cinnamon on my hams AND SMOKED IS? A must to me

Thank you. Like others, I bought this ham then realized it came with no instructions and now I can cook it with confidence.
It does. Says the word peel on it and on the other side are the instructions. Hope this helps.
Got mine in the oven now,,,you made this so easy to follow!! Thank you and Merry Christmas!!
Thank you so much for this video. My family loves my ham, and now that I seen your tip to pour the glaze over they love it even more.
Merry Christmas and thank you for an easy way to make this ham. Love your video.

I never thought to turn it on it's side to glaze. Great info. Thanks!!

Thank you! Your instructions are clearer for me than of the Smithfield’s instructions online. Merry Christmas!

Mine turned awesome! I added cherries, pineapples, and oranges. It was delicious and not dry at all.

Thank you for your assistance! Merry Christmas
Thanks ,this video was the most helpful video I found on this subject . Very informative.

Very helpful. Thanks.
I work at Smithfield. If you only know.

How long would you bake it if fully cooked just to heat to a good temp?
They are already cooked. This is the heating method. How ever the website and video says 275 for 15 minutes a pound. 🤷 Not 250.
Always thaw your ham before cooking.
Ready sliced cooked ham
Ty!
Making this tomorrow
Simple enough
Is that the "fully cooked" ham? Mine says fully cooked.
Yes
Very good instructions. Thank you
Yesssss

It usually has brown sugar with pineapple in it. There are awesome simple glazes on line
@@eazycookin thank you, I am going to follow you!
Nice video
How come the am was so tuff
Thank ya my brutha
He's yummy!
🔥
Thawed or unthawed?
Thawed
@@eazycookin Man you saved Christmas! Here is your new loyal subscriber.
😋😋😋😋😋😋
Does the ham need to be thawed or can it be frozen?
Thaw it out and in my opinion it just taste better
Mine came in it’s own aluminum foil. BUT it’s NOT for cooking! The ham is shrink wrapped in plastic. Remove all that stuff. Instructions state 275 degrees / 15 min per pound. So a 9 lb. ham is a little over 2 hrs.
what is the weight of a smithfield spiral cut fully cooked ham?
It depends
what do you preheat the oven to?
250. Every ham is different. On the side of the ham there is a sticker you pull off with the what you set your oven too. It also tells how much time per pound
@@eazycookin when i pulled the sticker off it was wet so the part with the words stick to the wrapping so i wasn’t able to see. but thank you!
As long as internal temp is 140 your all good
Make ham gravy it's the best
Looks good to me
excellant ham. ???? package say 275 Deg 15 min per pound. you say different? just checking.
All different brand hams are different but you can always check internal temp with meat thermometer
Also he made a huge noob mistake! Always! Drain the juice before glazing! It makes the best gravy in the world!!
Pineapple and basting
Cost me a lot more.
Ali G?
Isn’t Smithfield meat owned and from China?
electric stoves are the pits
I make my own glaze. I wouldn’t use the packet. It has too much sugar in it.
Agree!
China ham
Smithfield hires illegal immigrants
you lost me at "what is up guys" I'm out
The presenter is awfully annoying. What's with all the gesticulation? But the ham looks good.
It's usually best to make your own glaze though.
you forgot the 2 cans of coke and brown sugar ..lol thats what i do..lol
