    Really awesome how you gave a proper intro on taz and looney tunes prior to talking about the game .
    It’s the main reason I played taz wanted and other looney tunes game from that time is because I loved the looney tunes , still do . I think many of us do :)

    I've seen people hate on this game without giving it a chance just because of the controls but I'm bias anyway because I grew up with it so it's nice to see a more fair review of the game! Thanks for finally doing it!

    • @idonthaveanose

      No problem! Sorry it took a while to get around to. I honestly don't think the controls or the camera are nearly as bad as some reviewers make out. It's far from unplayable.

    First, *congrats on getting 500 subs!* Here's to many more! 😁
    Secondly, nice to see that Looney Tunes knowledge getting used more!
    *This* is one of those games I have *ultra-nostalgia* for. Many hours clocked in on this one. I think the appeal of Taz, certainly in this game, is the idea of being of this dim, angry, indestructible, little monster and the weird, surreal, slapstick scenarios he's put through. I honestly find myself giggling at this every time I come back to it. It's the comic timing and the animations that make it work. And the costumes. Just all of them. 😄 The Haunted costume is my favourite, particularly for the colours.
    Got to agree with you, the physics are *jank* in all respects, which was frustrating even when I was younger. I find you can work around it, once you get in the swing of things, but still... ugh... shopping trolleys. Really love the vibrancy and boldness of the level designs. Blitz Games were great for creating good, cartoony aesthetics. Love Sam Francisco's nighttime urban feel (reminds me a bit of the TV studio from Sheep, Dog 'n' Wolf), but Wile E. West's levels are easily my favourite part of the whole game.
    Speaking of Blitz, I've noticed the voice audio quality was a recurring problem (the abruptness of certain lines is unique to Taz, tho) with a lot of their titles. Up until *Fairly OddParents: Shadow Showdown,* that is. Suddenly they decided to get a better mic. 😂 Their music is always awesome, though. Shadow Showdown is *loaded with amazing tracks,* as well as being a good game. Check out "Shadow Showdown Vicky Pinball full" if you get the chance.
    In Taz, I love how the music reacts to if you're running around normally, spinning or tiptoeing. It's also unlike anything else heard in a Looney Tunes game. Besides SDnW, of course. Aces in my book.
    Also, Doctor Who references aren't that surprising when you find out Blitz was based in Warickshire, England. Fun fact. 😁
    Anyhoo, you're on a roll, man! Keep it up! 😉

    • @idonthaveanose
      @idonthaveanose  4 года назад

      Yes! I wanted to talk about the music variations in this review but it kind of felt like I already had so much to say. The soundtrack is great, though I personally do prefer SDnW. I do think a lot of reviews of this game were unnecessarily harsh- there is a lot of attention to detail here. It looks fantastic considering its age but yes, the audio does let it down a little.
      Thank you so much! I was actually kind of surprised how much I had to discuss tbh. I really enjoyed playing it too! Thanks for joining the live chat, though I've discovered it's really awkward keeping track of convos with that, it's hard to reply to everyone.

    I totally agree with your point on the controls, they're not game-breaking, but they're not great either, but I like to think of it as a form of immersion, since I can't imagine Taz is loaded with a ton of finesse and grace when he walks around

  • @TwisterTH

    Today I discovered a song Disco Inferno by The Trammps, which immediately reminds this part 18:46 .
    And while listening the song, my mind was like, holly hell, it kinda does sounds like Disco Volcano! Boy do I like subtle stuff like this in your videos. c:

    • @idonthaveanose
      @idonthaveanose  4 года назад +1

      Whoa, did you only just discover that song? 😮 I think it's very much intentional, like that Magnificent Seven theme. The soundtrack to this game is better than it had any right to be. 😂

    • @TwisterTH
      @TwisterTH 4 года назад +1

      I swear it was an accident! 🤣
      And I’m kinda glad it is, like a surprise that I didn’t expect, haha.
      I know, right? 😁 The way composer show Taz’s character though this OST, is a really good job indeed!
      And I just love the fact, how creatively composer can be for a videogame music, whether changing layers, depending on what happening on the screen for example.

    Dude! This is crazily well done! I don’t know why you were worried about the video being a little longer, because even in 22 minutes you put a perfect amount of info, from presentation, gameplay and every minor details (and amount of puns, of course) that made me smile. Especially I appreciate that clever joke about Rabbit-Sandwich, when in B&T:Time Busters, Taz bites Bugs, if he stand right next to him, really loved that one. :D

      Thank you so much! 😁 I'm beaming right now! The game looks SO good considering it's from 2002. And I believe it's the only one so far that I've covered that's in widescreen. Wallace and Gromit COTW has a widescreen option but for some reason I couldn't record it in that format at the time. I just thought it an interesting thing to note.

    @simen30 4 года назад

    • @idonthaveanose
      @idonthaveanose  4 года назад +1

      There are one or two moments when it becomes frustrating, but it's not unplayable imo. After a while, you do get used to it. I only found it a major issue in 2 levels, that I can remember - the Tasmania level towards the end in particular.

  • @thedoctor9138
    @thedoctor9138 4 года назад +2

    I've beaten it 100% and it was a lot of fun. My favorite level is Looningdales. I also make honorable mentions for the Bank of Samerica and Looney Lagoon. My favorite costume is the Swat Team Taz from Bank of Samerica. Nothing like permanently getting rid of those Push Broom Mustache wearing Bastards known as the Taz Catchers with a Gun that shoots stinky cheese that knocks them out. The Tazland Costume is also a trip because of the Elephant attack. It's like getting rid of a House Fly with a Shotgun level ridiculous and it's absolute gold.

    Rewatching video, I only now noticed something funny, at 13:06 I saw a frame of a poster/art-sign “Taz Vs Sylvester".
    And I was like, either Taz was originally going to fight Sylvester in that mini-game instead of Daffy Duck, or either art-team just having fun slapping clip art on the wall and choosing the wrong picture, idunno, it’s just funny Cx
