I write novels, and all of the concepts you so easily understandable present on this channel are highly useful to me! Thank you very much!
That's great! I'm glad it was useful!
ALWAYS happy to see a Script Sleuth upload, no matter what movie it is.
When Nolan pitched The Dark Knight, all he talked about was theme. Once theme is fully realized, plot and character roll out like a red carpet.
You can be deservedly proud of yourself man, really well observed, narrated and edited video essay.
Thank you! What a nice comment.
Great point about the theme expressed as an argument between Batman/Bruce and the Joker and supported by the other characters; it's consistently demonstrated to the audience without ever feeling annoying - perhaps because it uses different contexts and raises the stakes. But also Dent completely flips from one side to the other, proving Joker's point, while the ferry disproves his point. The Joker, Dent and Rachel are all written to specifically attack aspects of Batman/Bruce's character and expose his flaws/dilemmas. Overall, I think the popularity of this movie is down how clearly it address this theme without getting repetitive. Another tool to approach writing theme would be thesis/antithesis/synthesis.
The Dark Knight is a phenomenal movie.
Ok, I made bets on what you will cover in a dark knight video, and I was kinda right, you dealt with stakes, and you dealt with how powerful of an antagonist the joker is, best aspects of the movie IMO
Great analysis as always. The Dark Knight is not only the greatest Batman film of all time but one of the best films of all time.
Phenomenal analysis! The Prestige, There Will Be Blood, and Taxi Driver would also make great screenplay analysis videos.
Thanks for commenting, Charlie!
Please do for oldboy and aaranya kaandam these two films are masterpiece
When are we going to see a new video rising? Script Sleuth Rises!
All About Eve has a great screenplay. Love ur Analysis on the film!
Thanks, Dante!
Bro this is understandable for almost everyone. I can't believe I'm watching this for free. Hope you get millions of subscribers. 👌👌👏
Thank you, that means a lot!
Taking notes
I really do want Miller's Crossing Next.
My favorite Batman movie of all time is still Batman Mask of the Phantasm. You should definitely make a video on it.
I love that one, too!
Your channel is top quality in terms of film analysis. Definitely come back ❤ you should def do a film analysis on city lights (1931)
Thank you. I'll definitely be back; just going more slowly these days.
Can you do Witness for the Prosecution from Billy Wilder next?
Hey Sleuth, would you do one for *Oldboy [2003]?*
I found you do not do one for TV series otherwise, there'd be plenty to choose from - BB, GoT, HoC, MadM, Sop, Wir, Sher, etc and etc.
There's a video for Breaking Bad 😎
@@ScriptSleuth oh yes
Pilot Episode I see
so it's a Gold Mine then, Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad both have great episodes to be analyzed
&
especially Sherlock has great episodes functioning as its own movie - like Study in Pink, Scandal in Belgravia, and The Reichenbach Fall
@@ScriptSleuth oldboy please
Yeah! It's back!
Good evening sir. I am a filmmaking students. All your analysis are very good and I have watched all your videos. If possible analyse all Christopher Nolan films. I think he is the best writer-director of our generation. Thank you for taking such a great efforts for us. God bless you.
Glad that you found the videos to be useful!
@@ScriptSleuth Thank you again sir
Can you break down the script for that new Puss in Boots movie? It was so epic!!!
Love these new thumbnails!
Haha I'm trying!
Please make a video on RRR film screenwriting.
I really loved your content and was thinking of joining your patreon but then there was a long break in video releases so I would like to know if you are going to upload again, or if it will be in the near future?
Thanks for all the great info, it’s been incredibly helpful
Thanks for the great comment! Yes, I will definitely upload again soon. Life got in the way this past year, so it took me away from the channel for a bit.
@@ScriptSleuth Thank you! Now I understand that that was the reason, I’m very sympathetic. I hope everything is okay! Sending my best.
Apocalypse now would be a great analysis
Great movie!
hey Daniel, i respect the amount of effort and time it takes to produce quality content like this, although i was curious to see if you had any plans in producing more videos like these in the possible future? hope you're doing well, thanks for the great work as always.
I definitely do... unfortunately life got in the way. The good news? I've devoted time to working on my own screenplays 😎
@@ScriptSleuth haha totally understandable. thats great to hear though. is the email provided on your channel still the best means of professional contact? i would love to discuss more in regard to your process and your own creative work. have you any potential interest in collaboration?
Taxi Driver, and Sixth Sense
Excellent choices.
I Love You Philip Morris ........ any thoughts ?
My next movie suggestion is: Little Miss sunshine
Are you working on a new upload?
I re-watched it recently, and I have to say it's a little dated, and I find myself hoping for more joker in the scenes where he's absent. Hell, a joker standalone with Heath would've been interesting.
I feel like the movie had enough Joker. He was used as much as he was needed.
do In Bruges
I love that movie!
@@ScriptSleuth one of my personal favorites and I believe one of the tightest scripts ive ever read
Please Do video on 'RRR'
Taxi driver please
Can you analyse Stanley Kubrick The Shinning & David Finchers Fight club
Great suggestions!
@@ScriptSleuth I really admire your channel and your channel was the first analysis video I ever watched of 12 angry men and Sir can you analyse M Night Shyamlan The Sixth Sense
@@atulkumargupta4774 Great suggestion! Definitely on the list. 😎
How about *Schindler's List?*
Battinson was the best incarnation of Batman imo but tdk was the best make Batman film
Is there a new upload on the way?
There is!
Cinema Paradiso please....
That's a great one!
can you do lord of the ring, please!
Definitely on the list!
Why haven’t you uploaded in a while?
Life.
The lives of others ,video deleted??
No, it's been moved to Patreon.
@@ScriptSleuth why though 😕, thanks mate
Love your videos!
Random question- The audio from the film has a higher pitch (sounds like they’re all breathing helium 🫠) I assume this is to bypass the RUclips Content ID? Not complaining but curious!
Thank you for the fantastic analytical analysis of one of my favorite movies!
That sounds like the most sensible answer.
Battinson was the best incarnation of Batman imo but tdk was the best make Batman film
