Now I understand the problem with Forza Motorsport 8. They at the releasing of the game said they remake everything from the ground up and the game is what it is... Now they said they design the Surface Pro 10 and laptop 6 from the ground up, and it is exactly the same as the last 4 years and the changes that they made before that for me were a downgrade, ditching the Alcántara palm rest and the 12.5 inches with bezels made the surface a better tablet because it is a heavy tablet and the bezels make it much more comfortable to use as a tablet.

I think you're overthinking it. They are just saying things, plus I assumed most people (including me) thought the alcantara was tacky. My mousepad is already filthy enough.

Honestly Microsoft right now is a bit of a mess, while I appreciate them becoming more open source friendly there is so much of the company that feels divided and uneven.
Like hardware wise? I think Microsoft's surface tablets kick ass and once more comes to the ARM platform Microsoft can finally be a contender in the tablet market and there is a part of me that wants them to try another stab at making phones too, honestly having a third major OS in the mobile space is needed.
As for Windows 11, it always felt like a marketing stunt to keep Microsoft from losing out on pushing new hardware via its hardware partners.
After all, the standard OEM desktop market is crashing due to not only the rise of mobile but the growing popularity of custom-built desktops.
Honestly, it's the only explanation for all the crap hardware requirements for Windows 11 as otherwise Windows 10 was doing very well for the company.
Honestly, I think Microsoft should have taken the apple route for its paid OS upgrades, but it had hardware partners and shareholders to keep happy.
I mean honestly I would have no issue with Microsoft charging for OS upgrades provided they were affordable enough as asking for up to $200 for a pro license each time is absurd, it's bad enough their pricing is driving many to grab third party keys and the like.
Still rather if we like it or not we kind of want Microsoft to stay in business, yes they have been a thorn in the side of Linux for ages, but Microsoft needs to keep innovating as right now I fear Apple way more.

The desktop OS market for the last 30 years has been a nightmare monopoly/duopoly that need not have occurred; there was beOS, an excellent OS, IBM warp OS/2, Amiga and many others. How we came to be in the thrall of two Neo-capialist, US centric megacorps is something to think about. Neither caters for my very modest needs to be just left alone to get my work done. In 2019 I left Windows for good and went all Linux. Windows. Dead as a dodo to me. Mac. Dead as the brontosaurus.
