Because of heavy traffic they enforced the number coding. Based on the last digit of the plate number of the car. If your car plate number ends with 1 & 2 you are not allowed to go out on mondays from 7AM to 7PM. 3 & 4 Tuesday. 5 & 6 wednesday 7 & 8 thursday. 9 & 0 friday. You can use you car during number coding days before 7 AM and after 7 PM. Just follow that to avoid paying penalties and incurring demerits on your driver license.
📝 Number Coding is from 7AM to 7PM covering major roads of the central business district. Tourists are NOT EXEMPTED from the Coding Ordinance. Schedule:
Monday (1-2)
Tuesday (3-4)
Wednesday (5-6)
Thursday (7-8)
Friday (9-0)
👉 Holidays are not included in the suspension of coding 👉 No coding on Saturdays and Sundays. Stay safe guys.
Thanks for posting
There is a window hour which i better not mention bec it is complicated. Not all roads included.
You should also add that Hybrid and electric cars are exempt from coding restrictions.
i totally love it when you guys uses the christmas hym ....truly philippines is the christmas capital of the world....we start christmas early from september all the way to frst week of January ....love you guys, from 12 million overseas filipino workers.
Not to make you uncomfortable, but to avoid future inconveniences, I want to mention that there are other strict rules being implemented in the city, such as the ‘Anti-Distracted Walking Ordinance,’ ‘King of the Road Ordinance,’ ‘Anti-Smoking Ordinance,’ and a prohibition on ‘cursing’ to name a few. You can Google them for detailed explanations. Yes this is also an FYI for other incoming tourists, and certainly no exemptions. Fortunately, most police officers in Baguio are friendly even though they may seem strict. Some people are learning a lot from your videos. So, keep them coming. Enjoy your stay in Baguio! Safe driving always.
Baguio City is enforcng number coding just like in Metro Manila. On Mondays car plate numbers ending 1 and 2, Tuesday 3 and 4, Wednesday 5 and 6, Thursday 7 and 8, Friday 9 and 0 are not allowed on the road. Number coding is from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Friday.
Tama.pero pag ako d ako dumada an sa town pag coding ko😂
Taxis in Baguio are cheap since they do not have Aircon. Use Taxis instead of private car during coding. It will be less stressful. No need to go find parking. Coding is implemented because of too much traffic. It is a way to reduce cars.
and there are not much scammers too
Very true that's Very helpful during School Days where you can not Drive Lyn and Oliver to schools
Taxi in Baguio also do have Aircon, but they are only being used during the hot season or on a sunny day. Regardless, the taxi meter is still the same. Even the mini bus in Baguio has Aircon
Generally, taxi drivers in Baguio are known to be honest.
The police and the law enforcement on Baguio are strict bc the Mayor was a former PNP General. And people there follow the rules strictly so you can see that they are very disciplined. Also, the police there are kind and are always willing to help and are very reasonable, that's why it is one of the SAFEST places here in the PH.
KEEP SAFE ALWAYS MY BROTHER AND SISTER SOUTHKOREAN! 🇰🇷❤🇵🇭 GODBLESS US!
There are so many rules or law around Baguio, you can ask people around you especially in your building or condo, they know for sure. 😊 But you are correct, experience is the best teachings in life. ❤
Thank you. Today, our family learned how to live in the Philippines. There are still many things we do not know about the Philippines, but learning them one by one is also a great joy of living in the Philippines.👍💖💖💖
electric and hybrid car are excempted from coding, that ls why they are asking you if your vehicle is elctric. drive safe😊
@@xrixs6207 OIC. Now many know about it, thnx.
Now that you are living in Baguio, i always watch your videos now ‘cause i can see my alma mater, University of the Cordilleras. During my college days, we were just sitting at the deck looking at the hill infront of our university and were joking and laughing about what if they would build SM mall? And few years passed, voila!! SM in baguio was built
THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO, I am sure not only a few but many have learned about number coding for traffic rules.
If your car in the Philippines is Hybrid/Ec,you are exempted to any coding all over the Philippines
Try to visit the public market just going down from SM or Session road where you can also buy quality vegetables, fruits, fish and meat and other foods. It is much cheaper than buying your foods every time in SM and it's guaranteed fresh
Go to session road every weekend there are some street artist showcasing their drawing on the street.
I'm literally in the cathedral yesterday morning 😮
I love your videos, always waiting forward for a new one. I’m a fan
The best things you do guys is to watch local news in Baguio so that you will be aware before you go out because everyday the news is helpful just translate it in Korean so that you can understand..
Each part of the Philippines there is a coding you should guys be aware of that..
WOW it would be so wonderful if you see a Korean student or Korean and try give a short interview like "Why did they choose Baguio?" Coz it would be exciting to see you meet other Koreans and just greet them or so.
WE LOVE YOU KOREAN!! ❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇰🇷
I saw the school where Lyn and Oliver go, and it’s really close to the botanical garden we visited today 😊
Doing a little research about the place you are staying in is always helpful. since you travel by car, it is important to know specific traffic rules.
Anyway, you can take a cab on Thursdays, this will allow you to discover Baguio more on foot. There are countless laundry shops offering much cheaper services.
The stairs go up to the Cathedral Our Lady of Atonement.
The best way to explore a city is by walking, good exercise too. ❤
I'm really sad that I couldn't visit that cathedral. The clear weather in Baguio was really nice. It felt like autumn in Korea. Thank you for watching our video 💕💕💕
@@hellophilippines513 Be aware of strict traffic rules and regulations implemented in Clark, should you plan on visiting.
Swerte nyo Mabait enforcer na nanghuli sa inyo. Kung ung kupal na iba yan mangongotong pa yan. 😂 ingat kayo lage.
hello! im enjoying your baguio vlogs. i used to study in the school near SM mall, university of the cordilleras (the buildings with green roof). if ever your kids plan to continue college, you can enrol them there, they accept international students, and a lot of koreans are studying there :) take care always! 💖
I'm literally in the cathedral yesterday morning 😮 I hope I will be able to meet you before our vacation ends here in baguio by sunday 😢
Hello philippines!now there was a baguio-korea friendship week, you can visit session road now and discover and explore different events thanks
100k subs is waving🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Hahaha exactly I agree with you At the 13th min, It's nice walking around the city without SWEATING and for me sweating is I hate so much bec. I sweat a lot. You are feeling the vibe of cold season at this time. Baguio would be warm too during summer. I like watching your vlogs around Baguio. And just recently "THE HUNGRY SYRIAN" made it their to Baguio too. Check him out, He is Syrian but his restaurant in Manila is KOREAN RESTO.
화이팅❤😊 watching from chungcheongbuk-do south korea😊❤
Since you did not understand their explanation, please ask Lyn to search it for you, especially the areas / road you cannot enter when you are in your coding schedule. There is a start point in every area near the CBD where you are not allowed to enter on you coding sched. Also in the main town, its not allowed to use mobile phone while walking, if you needed to use your phone, you should stop at a non crowded sidewalk to check. There are many more so please search about Baguio more, help us observe and respect the City Ordinaces. Thank you!
you can go at burnham park near at you..
If oliver misses soccer, he can play at Melvin Jones beside burnham park.
Coding is once a week. It is only applicable inside the city proper. That is to lessen vehicles going inside he city.
Here's the catch. Technically, you can still drive your car when it's coding day but make sure you don't get caught because it's risky. If you ever run into other cars not following the rules it's probably because they already know what to do or received a ticket. Just focus on your own and follow the rules, don't mind the other drivers.
City with heavy traffic. Depends also of the city rules. Some city dont have that rules. Its just bacause too much traffic. Thats why some rich filipinos have 2-3 cars they can use depends on the schedule.also depends on the road you pass. Maybe you can use your car on roads that is or can be use to pass. City traffic is a head ache🫣
Baguio became strict when it comes to traffic because there's a lot of cars coming in and out from that city. They will even make non resident vehicles pay for entering the city soon. It's a strict city when it comes to traffic.
Even plastic bags don't use it much better if you use an eco bag.
Coding, smoke cars, smoking,
jay walking is very strict in Baguio
& when u shop in grocery or market
U need to bring or buy eco bags
You should search on what areas are covered by the Coding Ordinance, but from my experience, Southdrive, and John Hay are some of the areas that allow it,
Video Suggestion: Go to Camp John Hay, and Explore the "Yellow Trail" think of it as a Nature walk, takes 1-2 hours to complete depending on your speed, but it would be a great video to make, also, plan ahead on what day you will go, because when it rains the day before you go, the trails will be very muddy.
baguio has a very clean air and the old folks locals said that the fogs can heal asthma and other sickness but now adays as you can see, it became so famouse for a tourist spot and that's a problem
net time dont pay til before the office close. every time you get stopped just say you are on your way to pay the ticket hahaha
Baguio is also famous for its Night Market in Burnham Park and the Ukay ukay thrift stores. It is the equivalent of Dong Myo in Korea.
As a tourists, you should be given a warning first. Anyway. take care..😊
before entering a city you should learn the rules, with no exemption whether you are new or a tourist in that area
I hope you'll be able to meet green man there. he's so well known on social media.
atok benguet the coldest place in the philippines, try to go there sometimes
They asked if your vehicle is electric because battery, hybrid, light, and plug-in hybrid EVs in the Philippines are exempt from number coding
When you get time stop by LTO get a instructions of Vehicle Coding so know where and what to avoid when you're planning to drive specially driving out of town
I recall Kulas or Becoming Filipino also had his motorcycle in Session Road. Also got citation ticket and just paid it.
There is a number coding rule in traffic even here in Manila..plate nos. Ending in 1 & 2 -on mondays ,On tuesdays - 3&4 , on wednesdays -5 &6 not allowed, 7 & 8 not allowed on thursdays and 9 & 0 not allowed on fridays.. from 7am to 7pm..to lessen traffic congestion
present❤❤❤
and I'm really missin' baguio ... just 2hrs away from our province
Where is your place? From Baguio to la union also 2 hours. We visited Launion often. Hehe 💕💕💕
Number Coding are enforced to ease the traffic on big cities like Baguio and Metro Manila depending on what number your car plate ends are not allowed on major roads and business district from 7am to 7pm
1-2 Monday
3-4 Tuesday
5-6 Wednesday
7-8 Thursday
9-0 Friday
Saturdays and Sundays has no coding.
Plate # 1 &2 can not go out on Mondays/ 3 & 4 can not go out on Tuesdays / 5& 6 can not go out on Wednesdays / 7 & 8 can not go out on Thursdays ( your car) and 9 & 0 can not go out on fridays
other things that are special in bagiuo is road rules are much strict than other areas, also in subic its strict
color coding the same rules apply if you drive here in Manila
To avoid traffic due to too much vehicles color coding is implemented. Especially in Metro Manila where there is so much traffic
Baguio maybe welcoming but they're very strict in imposing the law traffic violations and illiiegal parking etc..
Hello…if you have time there a night food market at night. I would recommend that you guys go there. You will like it a lot. 😊
There’s a car coding here in Baguio n Manila same number you can’t use ur car as well in Manila….1st violation is ₱500 nx violation maybe ₱1000 last violation ₱1500 nx violation they cancel ur license…..
Don’t worry it’s part of learning how to live in Baguio. By the way, at 0:11 you passed by the Porta Vaga building. There is a Assi Mart inside where you can buy Korean stuff. 😊
Remember also in MANILA has a number Coding too.
Same rin sa cavite from
Bacoor to dasma aguinaldo highway may coading
You should learn the rules and regulations on the road, in the provinces like Dumaguete there's no coding for the plate number but in Metro Manila have more restrictions to reduce the traffic flow on the road.
I'm in baguio right now, I hope i meet u guys
Guys have you tried visiting the newly opened Christmas village?
That policy has always been enforced in baguio just like in any other place..
City of fines but the city is peaceful and clean.
You should have told the traffic enforcer that you are new to the city and not aware yet on their traffic regulations. If you just said so, may be he will be considerate enough to let it go and be lenient to you considering you guys are tourists.
❤❤
Keep safe always.. God bless.. 😘😘😘😇😇😇😇😇😇
I have known about coding in Metro Manila for years; unfortunately, I was surprised two years ago at Gov. Pack when an enforcer flagged me for coding violation.
I remembered when I was younger I also violated the coding because it slipped my mind that it was a Wednesday. It was even in Metro Manila. 😅 Coding violation is actually common so don't worry too much about it.
Hello ..im also from city of pines
I think from where you live, your coding entry point is from Leonard Wood Bridge, close to Berkeley School
We called it Charge to Experience 😊.. There's even much worse, if you encounter the kotong (corrupt) enforcer in Manila..😂😂😂 Its Ok you experience this thing just be mindful next time.😂😊
Baguio should ask national government about funding public transport like tram ,rail and cable car
Baguio is under an autonomous region called "CAR"cordillera autonomous region so it has its own laws, apart from the national one.
oh no...coding penalty!!! yes coding system is implemented in the city. hope you're ok. be careful next time! Stay safe always while going around town. Enjoy exploring and stay safe!
Baguio has color coding in Session Road and other streets. Research them exactly so you will know.
To avoid any penalty you have to check first the traffic rules in baguio .
In metro manila lgu mmda are implementing coding
Ending plate number 1/2 monday not allowed to travel
3/4 tuesday 5/6 wed etc…
If you are not caught by the enforcers you are so lucky if not you have to pay for the price.
They are enforcing it to minimize the car from travelling to avoid traffic.
Still enjoy! And be safe always!
Charge to experience oppa 😅👍
Theres add 10 for unlimited fries @tokyo tokyo every 2- 5pm dine in only
ELECTRIC OR HYBRID CARS ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE NUMBER CODING EVEN IN MANILA.
coding day.is not only in baguio, its all around the country, maybe in some province did not strict implementing it, but here in manila is veey strict, the government do this coding to lessen the traffic in the city...
Wrong!! Huwag kang mag kalat ng misinformation.
Ang coding scheme implemented lang sa NCR, Baguio, Cavite, Cabanatuan at Dagupan.
number coding is implemented in Metro Manila and some cities
Please try to go to Mt. Pulag there's a sea of clouds on top of the mountain 🙂👌🏻 , be safe and take care always 🙏🏻😊💯%👑🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🎅🎄❄🌨🌟🇰🇷🇵🇭
Also seatbelt rules specially the one seating in front of the car, make sure to use seatbelt. No seatbelt will cost you 3,000 penalty in Baguio
Be careful nxt time❤Kim family
@@cecilcasin4575 hahaha
@@cecilcasin4575 What happens if you need to travel far to your hotel and got apprehended for coding violations a second or third time on the same day if you were only given a warning the first time ???
you should visit PMA next ☺️❤️
👍❤️
That's is why some people bought to car 😊
you meant 2 cars? Yeah true.
you meant 2 cars? Yeah true.
U must ask 1st to all the regulations in baguio specially about the car
Yes. That number coding. Vehicles with plate number ending 1-2( Not allowed on Mondays, 3-4( Tuesdays), 5-6( Wednesdays) 7-8 (thursdays and 9-0 Fridays. That is even in Manila. Next time be careful to avoid penalty.
If you got a ticket and you get stopped again, just show your ticket. They will not issue you another one. You are free to drive around but it cost you P500 pesos 😢
Oh no you caught on number coding violation next time guys check your end number of your plate so you dont have the hassle to fall in line to pay the penalty ticket
Like And Share Done
You already got the ticket anyway. So, you guys should have just gone whenever you needed and wanted to go. If you get stop again just tell the traffic enforcer that you already got the ticket and is on the way to pay it or on the way home now.
DURING CODING DAYS TRY TO VLOG ON COMMUTING BY JEEPS SO THAT YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUE ESSENCE OF LIVING IN BAGUIO
i think there is also a NO DRONE FLYING ORDINANCE so better asked first before flying your drone!!!
🧐🤔👌
My advice is before you go to somewhere in the philipines please let you know first the rules and regulation given by the philipine government,,ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY
Baguio is a hassle for vehicle users.
