Between SD, Nordstrand, & Delano; they makes the best pickups. If you want all active; get Seymour Duncan. If want passive option with good warmth, get Nordstrand MM with the alnico III; love those. Seymour Duncan’s sounds great!
Can anyone tell me why the passive mode on my lakland 5502 barley has any volume to it? It’s a brand new bass too this passive tone is just as loud as the active
Yes!! For sure!! I got rid of all my Alnico stingrays 😂 now I just got the ceramic and neodymium ceramic is the best tho! If you like that more aggressive tone

Yes I would surely recommend It. Make sure that the pickup position is like the MM, kind of a little towards the bridge

This is a characteristic of this particular pickup. Most pickups are not this loud in passive mode.
