brinu ton The problem for bikes is not a lack of power. not even close. but the real problem is putting all that power on the road. you can give it even 350 bhp. but a bike will never ever be able to generate the downforce required to put it all on the road off the line. F1 car is the king. and dont even start with what happens when they get to the end of a straight into (what is alien to bikers or they just pretend it never exists) a turn. The F1 car will absolutely spank a MotoGP and run away. even F3 and V8 supercars will be able to put numbers close to the MotoGP bikes round a track.

+TheChamp 101 A MotoGP bike would have had chance in a drag race (280 hp @ 160kg and very advanced electronics). Also, the Honda seamless gearbox of their MotoGP bike is faster than F1 transmissions.
Vin Look there's no technology on a Moto GP bike that's more advanced than a F1 car, all these seamless shifts or pneumatic valve and other stuff all came from F1 7-8 years earlier, and yeah your power to weight is flawed, that's a dry weight for the bike, add fuel and other fluids, add the rider and his gear the bike weighs 250kgs... That gives the bike barely 1000hp per ton, no better than let's say a One:1 road car, where as a F1 car like the F2004 or R25 was 605kg with fuel and driver included and also they produced 970hp so as you can see a V10 F1 car of the mid 2000s would eat any Moto GP bike in a straight line, oh yeah if they're setup for top speed Honda got over 412kph on a airstrip so even top speed is out of reach for a Moto GP bike which can only reach 350kph, also just to note modern F1 cars from Mercedes and Ferrari are set to reach 1000hp again next year with bucket load of torque and the most advanced electronics known to man apart from maybe the most latest military gear so yeah there you go.

Could they have found a SLOWER boat??? 1,100 kG? What a PIG! Here in the US, nearly every fishing boat built in the last decade will run 75mph+ with only a 150HP motor.. Hell, my 31 year old antique runs in the mid-90's, and I've driven friends boats well over 110 mph. If you're going to use a competition car and bike, go get a modern 8,000 HP top fuel hydro and you'll have a much different result. ;-)
***** it would matter a lot actually i was just hoping they would pick a good bike like the kawasaki h2 but then i realised that back then it was still being designed but now i think that it would be a closer match with top speed of around 260 mph on the bike.
When the narrator said the valves springs wont open and close quick enough, surly he means close quick enough as the opening is done by a cam and would open at whatever speed the the cam hits the valve at, or am I wrong?
I remember a painful video a few years ago; I believe it was a Grand Prix car vs a Toyota Corolla on a short inside drag race, probably no more than 200 yards, and the stupid Corolla won! It may have been Mythbusters or Top Gear. I bet it's on RUclips somewhere. I don't even know if I could stand to watch it again. Pure heresy.
+gsymdzd1 because i assume that the boat is at the top of its category. And i looks like its a prototype made for racing.. The f1 car is definitely as good as it gets in car racing. And its also a prototype made for racing. A superbike is neither. Its a production motorcycle, heavily modified for road racing
+BrappWithMe motovlogs in this is a comparativo between car bike and boat from honda, all of them maybe have the powerfull spec in that moment. for sure is another faster bike and boats
My grandpa was the founder of the powerboat racing strategy that you have to keep at least 48% of the boat off the water, and he did it with pure design and shaping, there was no electronic levers back then
The cameras and sounds are so annoying in this. The drag race is about 10 seconds long but they drag it out for like 30 seconds using repeated clips. So annoying.
Lol, bike fanboys pulling out the lamest and most ignorant excuses ever. Gotta understand the poor lads, being so paranoid all the time of being hit by bigger vehicles on the streets and getting cooked under the sun and frozen to death in winter can't be good for their brains. Out of the barely intelligent arguments they make: Get over it, kids: a "real moto gp" bike would not be much faster than this bike, it would be roasted by the car too. -You talking that bikes back in "da sixties" had crazier designs and features that would help this bike win? Lol, ever bothered to research the craziest designs F1 engineers were able to pull out? Jet powered cars are in the list...without mentioning that if you talk about giving the bike the "proper configuration for drag racing, the same can be done with the F1. Things like removing some ailerons and taking out the power limits of the engine...and you'll end up with a 2000 hp monster that would smoke any bike at 500 kph. Truth hurts.
Ive heard about those jet cars.....which is exactly what they are, jets on wheels...ovbiously your gonna win.....you must like bragging about how you can beat your sister in a fight as well huh lol You can only go so fast on a bike....two wheels
Nope. F1 cars are the annoying sounding corner turning car with a lousy top speed lousy acceleration and lousy BHP. Now days you can BUY cars for only $300,000 that go faster than an F1 car and sound 10000000000x better.
SomeDudeOnline the future, engineers figured out how to make cars faster for cheap and F1 simply didn't and in their attempt to they made a loud piece of crap that sounds like a vacuum. So basically, engineering fail.
lousy top speed ? yeah 372kmph . really lousy. lousy bhp. yeah 1000hp in quali trim while using less fuel than the v10s really lousy. 300,000 car faster than f1 looooolll . not to mention the v6s were faster than the v10s at Australia and Bahrain
Max Power No, that is incorrect. An F1 car is faster around a track, yes, but it can't match say, an RC213V for pure acceleration. You got your name from The Simpsons, yes? :-)
Niall Ferris i'd give the acceleration advantage to the Motorcycle as its lighter but top speed it's a tough one. An F1 car can reach speeds exceeding 190MPH while generating around 4 tonnes of Downforce. If Engineers could tinker with the vehicles like they normally would in a competition environment the Top speed would go to the F1 car as it's raw power is undeniable, i would say that if engineers wanted too they could make an F1 car exceed 240Mph but it would be less stable in the corners making it slower around a track. However if you took the vehicles straight out of competition and slapped them into a drag race i'd say the Bike would win due to the F1 car being setup for incredibly fast speeds around corners not Straight line speed. Either way, both are incredible machines.
No point in comparing the boat, basic physics dictates that because of the traction from road vs water you will naturally get better acceleration from land vehicles. Unless you can find a better way to propel the boat (like a jet) and find a way of anchoring it to the surface of the water (like a hydrofoil) to ensure that 100% of force is being applied to propel the boat forwards, it will always lose in a 10 second race.
If you time the F1 car's final run from helicopter at roughly late 8:47 to early 8:56 where you get the full run uncut its roughly 8.7sec which is close to carwow's MotoGP best time of 8.6sec which is much quicker than the Redbull RB8 V8, however this is the 2003 BAR Honda at 900hp which isnt quite as powerful as the Ferrari F2004's 960hp or the fastest launching V10 F1 car of the Renault R25 which had roughly 950hp and its fair to say either the F2004 or R25 could achieve a low 8s with a decent launch and Monza wing levels, hard to imagine cars from nearly 20 years ago are still the fastest F1 cars in a straight line, imagine if they used slicks from that last of the V10 eras, also imagine if the regulation hasnt changed for nearly 20 years and they kept on developing the V10s, we'd have 23,000rpm and 1300+hp now, it'd be scary in these cars especially with slicks that weighed 605kg with driver, gear and fluids, the car itself dry would weigh 520kg max with over 1300hp it would be too fast, even with 960hp its still close to 2000hp per ton and smashes modern MotoGP bike's power to weight if they stuck a rider on, we all wish the V10s and these lighter narrower chassis stayed in F1 BUT 2026 rules will narrow the cars again and make them lighter with 1000+hp, lets see how these new beasts go.

He talks about how it's weird to use a clutch with your hand but it's also in your hand on a bike... Plus it's actually a better idea than a foot actuated clutch.
This type of "power boat" is fast of course, it's for racing, but is totally outclassed with the other 2 vehicles. They should have done the comparison using a drag boat. At least for a quarter mile it would have been competitive.
The bike was probably owned by some guy from bristol who rode it there, and will ride it home and cost £10k new. The F1 car came from japan and had a full team of engineers take hours to assemble and take millions and millions of pounds. To win by 4/10ths of a second..
to win in a drag race which the f1 car is not made for as its main purpose is for turning and being the fastest on track using downforce and power to weight ratio...
Not really. That boat was way too underpowered. There are jet skis which are more powerful than that. A drag boat would be more fitting. Also, they could've used a MotoGP motorcycle (which is pretty much superior to an SBK motorcycle) and then it would be a fair race.
The fans blowing through the radiator while starting the engine of the F1 racecar don't cool the engine. They heat the engine up because the pistons are actually compression fit and in order for the engine to be running it needs to be heated to operating temperature so the block can expand and let the pistons loose.
that high reving sound of that F1 engine.... damn
The only thing that keeps me fron watching F1 is the sound, it sounds awful

A V10 in F1.... Those were times....
Surprising that the best time the F1 car had in the 1/4 was 9 seconds and change.
im pretty happy with these results.. bike did amazingly considered it was up against a $6m car.. not bad for a mid end bike!
this is 10 years ago!!!
ha ha ha
Guy Fawkes ???wtf is wrong with you?you are a fucking old man.lol
Guy Fawkes u got serious problems gay lord.
nothing to add, you just shit your pants, sorry old fart.
barozanul2 im from Finland but whatever
F1 driver was like: should I? Do I really should? Ok, lemme step on that accelerator
If you're going to use a competition car and bike, go get a modern 8,000 HP top fuel hydro and you'll have a much different result. ;-)
CBR600 ?? Not fair! F1 should compete the MotoGP class a.k.a 1000cc superbike. >:(
Yes not fair
Proves that cars are faster than bikes 🤪
I think a modern drag boat would have crushed them both.
ruclips.net/video/jzm6Gr3LYhE/видео.html one of these will easily beat both of those
Wasn't even a challenge for the F1...
F1 Vs Superbike is wrong, F1 vs MotoGP is the real deal
Gaston Gamba Wouldn't matter much, but I wish they had a better boat XD
***** it would matter a lot actually i was just hoping they would pick a good bike like the kawasaki h2 but then i realised that back then it was still being designed but now i think that it would be a closer match with top speed of around 260 mph on the bike.
+Gaston Gamba F1 always wins.Sad but true.
Hedge hog Except for in a straight line. :-)
In a drag race.
The road race was the North West 200 which has a pretty smooth road surface but you go off road it’s a walk or tree that stops you.
Remove the wing off the F1 and lets see what happens then
hairlesheep flying to the moon and back
When the narrator said the valves springs wont open and close quick enough, surly he means close quick enough as the opening is done by a cam and would open at whatever speed the the cam hits the valve at, or am I wrong?
SW6 just go desmo IMO
I never knew F1's were that fast damn!!
you never saw F1 at TV ? its very popular in France
Kevin Grange Yes i know exactly what F1 im british haha, just didnt know they were that fast!
Daniel Swift some F1 cars have more than 1000 hp
Kevin Grange and think about their horsepower per ton, ridiculous.
+Daniel Swift Well, 0-300kph in clearly under 10 seconds..
I really liked the comparison ! Congratulations
miss those old v10 sounds
Why the hell are they using a cbr 600rr instead of a cbr 1000rr?
F1 vs anything F1 will win
I remember a painful video a few years ago; I believe it was a Grand Prix car vs a Toyota Corolla on a short inside drag race, probably no more than 200 yards, and the stupid Corolla won! It may have been Mythbusters or Top Gear. I bet it's on RUclips somewhere. I don't even know if I could stand to watch it again. Pure heresy.
Top Fuel Dragster.
F1 rally I want to see that
MrTURBOJOHN Interesting idea, but where would they be able to race?
SuperN0va gp track with potholes!!!!
That boat steers like an old fiesta i had. There was so much give in the steering wheel. Spent the whole time steering from side to side.
Lol that wheeling though. I'll enjoy my sportbike until I can afford an F1. probably never
Yeah, PROBABLY!!! ;-)
7:07 That F1 sounds fucking mental :O
Why not a motogp bike? Would see more fair
Seem*
+Rasmus farkas and why not a f1 boat
+gsymdzd1 because i assume that the boat is at the top of its category. And i looks like its a prototype made for racing.. The f1 car is definitely as good as it gets in car racing. And its also a prototype made for racing.
A superbike is neither. Its a production motorcycle, heavily modified for road racing
+flip inheck ?? ummm yes yes it is...like waaaaaay faster...lol
Take your own advice. So annoying.
what happened to the audio?
Lol, bike fanboys pulling out the lamest and most ignorant excuses ever. Gotta understand the poor lads, being so paranoid all the time of being hit by bigger vehicles on the streets and getting cooked under the sun and frozen to death in winter can't be good for their brains. Out of the barely intelligent arguments they make:
Get over it, kids: a "real moto gp" bike would not be much faster than this bike, it would be roasted by the car too.
Ive heard about those jet cars.....which is exactly what they are, jets on wheels...ovbiously your gonna win.....you must like bragging about how you can beat your sister in a fight as well huh lol
You can only go so fast on a bike....two wheels
why use a wsbk bike and not a gp bike like the m1 or the rc213v
I think Jenson Button is one of the worldwide best car drivers!
what size V10 engine did the F1 car have? it can max out the revs at 24,000
3 litres is the displacement and will max out at around 19000RPM, if you’re still interested 7 years later.
when F1 cars were the powerfull racing car on the planet :D
Are they not anymore?
Nope. F1 cars are the annoying sounding corner turning car with a lousy top speed lousy acceleration and lousy BHP. Now days you can BUY cars for only $300,000 that go faster than an F1 car and sound 10000000000x better.
Poseidon7771 Why were they downgraded?
SomeDudeOnline the future, engineers figured out how to make cars faster for cheap and F1 simply didn't and in their attempt to they made a loud piece of crap that sounds like a vacuum. So basically, engineering fail.
lousy top speed ? yeah 372kmph . really lousy. lousy bhp. yeah 1000hp in quali trim while using less fuel than the v10s really lousy. 300,000 car faster than f1 looooolll . not to mention the v6s were faster than the v10s at Australia and Bahrain
Is that a stock 600cc?
its a bit unfair u need to do it again but next try using a moto GP bike
***** dude no one gives a fuck about your torch lmao. Stop spamming everyone's comments,
***** Lmao, What a pleb.
Ye see this is why we shouldn't have test-tube babies...we get results like you...shame.
8:49 of course
Nice! :)
Anybody know what brand the boat is?
+Poul Hansen home made....
Like the editing on this video
Old old video!!!!
I could have read the description to figure that out.
how many gears are in that f1 car ,I counted 18
A MOTOGP motorcycle would make shit of any F1 car in straight line acceleration.
False hahaha an f1 car is faster in almost any circumstance.
Max Power No, that is incorrect. An F1 car is faster around a track, yes, but it can't match say, an RC213V for pure acceleration. You got your name from The Simpsons, yes? :-)
Max Power moto gp is sligthly faster than f1 car
Max Power in straigth line,go search before make any opinion
Basically if the car or bike stales in the race, you have a problem.
2 seconds later they spoke abput the anti-stale system.
When starting, Is this full power? I want to know that super
Dude you still crying? 😂 H2R would smash this F1 car This F1 had 950 HP 550 kg (2005)
This F1 did a 9.7 seconds quarter mile in 2nd race listen to commentator
MotoGP bike ran 8.2 seconds quarter mile @190 mph on Carwow Rimac 8.4 @174 mph
ruclips.net/video/xsrBL6nqLXI/видео.htmlsi=L1Yddt_IUTNbKBSP
Rimac Nevera 0-100 kph 1.9 sec 0-200 kph 4.2 sec
1/4 mile 8.4 sec on same Runway kid
BMW S1000RR spanked this V10 F1 car off the line and 100 meters
Then this F1 car beat a street legal bike
H2R would be different outcome
H2R smoked Redbull RB8 F1 car
RB8 F1 ran 9.1 seconds quarter mile
H2R is running 9.0 flat @171 mph 😂
H2R did 300 km/h on Speedometer before 1/4 mile
This F1 car got no chance against H2R
Redbull RB8 F1 lost early acceleration mid range acceleration
H2R was Faster everywhere and pulling away Harder on top end
Your 8.7 got exposed bro it ran a 9.2 seconds quarter mile 😂
ruclips.net/video/CgtFJUdasHY/видео.htmlsi=g1WnP1dGoH9obkpl
"950 HP , 550 kg" V10 2005 BAR honda F1 car
It had 930 HP during races and weight with 600 kg with fuel and the driver inside the car
So this car with low fuel will become as low as 525 KG
Still can't do a 8.9 seconds quarter mile
He talks about how it's weird to use a clutch with your hand but it's also in your hand on a bike... Plus it's actually a better idea than a foot actuated clutch.
How about turbo liter bike like H2R, could it match f1?
This type of "power boat" is fast of course, it's for racing, but is totally outclassed with the other 2 vehicles.
They should have done the comparison using a drag boat. At least for a quarter mile it would have been competitive.
The bike was probably owned by some guy from bristol who rode it there, and will ride it home and cost £10k new.
The F1 car came from japan and had a full team of engineers take hours to assemble and take millions and millions of pounds.
To win by 4/10ths of a second..
Juzh123 oh course. that F1 car was probably owned by some guy from hertfordshire, Cost £35k brand new and drove it to/from the race
+UniversalGamingUK f1 car is from brackley
to win in a drag race which the f1 car is not made for as its main purpose is for turning and being the fastest on track using downforce and power to weight ratio...
The pull on the F1 car is crazy
Vroom Vroom, ........................................... splish... splash
What an amazing comparison!
Not really. That boat was way too underpowered. There are jet skis which are more powerful than that. A drag boat would be more fitting. Also, they could've used a MotoGP motorcycle (which is pretty much superior to an SBK motorcycle) and then it would be a fair race.
Boat with a flying start ! LMAO
6:58 race start.
Oh my God , just look how young Jenson was .
That fricking pull is crazy!!!
These kind of videos remind me how much I love RUclips
If that bike had a longer swing arm I'd imagine it would put power down much better.
You can’t possibly tell me that boat would be a better choice than a SUPERCHARGED jet ski ?
5:58 Hasegawa san (2016&2017 the chief of Honda f1 project)
The fans blowing through the radiator while starting the engine of the F1 racecar don't cool the engine. They heat the engine up because the pistons are actually compression fit and in order for the engine to be running it needs to be heated to operating temperature so the block can expand and let the pistons loose.
What they are doing ? was it fair race? Where was the power boat f1 and motogp bike?
