This is overall my favorite set from the 2024 LEGO Harry Potter Summer wave. This is a long-awaited remake, and it was definitely worth the wait. The Durmstrang ship itself looks great, although a part of me wishes that it was a bit bigger to have more interior space. I also wish that a few of the stickers were prints instead, such as for the shields. Overall, despite its flaws, I think the ship looks great overall, and has a very unique design. The Beauxbatons carriage seems like an afterthought, since it is smaller than the previous one, but I think it does its job as a build to accompany the main Durmstrang ship. The figures are great, although I do wish we would’ve gotten Fleur’s younger sister Gabrielle, a random Beauxbatons student, and two random unnamed Durmstrang students to make the set a bit more worth its price tag. I love it when LEGO creates long-awaited remakes of sets that released more than 10 years ago, and this Durmstrang ship definitely surpasses the older one in terms of design. I mean, the older set was more for play than display, and it appeared to be based more on concept part than the film, but the newer ship is undeniably the more accurate of the two.
It doesn't look as good as the billowing sails we got thanks to the Technic tow ball pin. The sails are much flatter and look more awkward around the edges, and I don't like that.

Damn a giant paragraph on why this is your favourite, can’t wwait to read this for about an hour and give up half way
The only one set i got from HP 2024 wave. I didnt get the first ship, so.. :)
What you do in lego? I "envy" your working place ;)
I don't discuss my job on my channel, but I love it! This set is a definite standout of the HP theme from the past few years :)
the ball-connection for the sails IS the old-school connection....and it is FAR superior to the technic connection

Thanks.
Wow
There's no steering wheel.
It's magic!
