Black Star is far weaker here than he is later on because he only gets stronger so idk what you're missing
if they would release soul eater today and manage to animate the WHOLE story instead of a shortcut version and by luck you get the same budget and studio as demon slayer or tokyo revenge...my god it would blow up,newer anime fans dont get how lucky they are nowadays animation wise,but plotwise they dont hold a candle except maybe JJK
