“Marty is looking better than ever” “I love what you’ve done with your hair Marty” “this is what happens whenever Marty takes his hat off” yeah yeah we’ve heard it all. Let’s just take time to appreciate how great of a player Lindsay is and what great content she puts up. I hope she’s here to stay.
Everybody seems to hold it differently - I freaked out after watching Marty hold the pick, wondering if I’d been doing it wrong for years. Then I watched Hendrix and I held it the same way (not that I can play as well...)
I picked up the guitar because of Luther Perkins. My sister took home an LP record Folsom Prison Blues in the early 70s. She put it on and Johnny said “Hello I’m Johnny Cash” and the guitar intro lick that came right after that just floored me. Just a few notes, but it filled me with so much happiness. I was only around 7 or 8 but I knew right there that’s what I’m going to do one day. Just one lick of a few notes, I dreamt of it for years until I learned guitar and could play it. He gave my life a purpose & direction. Thank you Luther Perkins
I was never a fan of country music until i started trying to learn guitar a couple of years ago. I cannot deny the quality of the musicmanship, or how fun it is to (try to) play. Also big ups for surviving the cold--I lived in Lethbridge for a dozen years or so
This really is what this channel has been missing. If we start seeing Brooks and Haggard songs on here it will easily be the best channel on the internet
Yeeesssss!!!!! I’d kill to see some Merle Haggard song tutorials on this channel. I mean Merle is my all time favorite country artist. Him and Cash. I actually live down the street from his childhood home and next door to Buck’s old recording studio. Back to the guitar stuff, all the other tutorials are sub par or want you to pay $20 for the full course on some other website....
I'm not a huge country fan, I'm a huge guitar fan so this list is great! I can't wait to start learning these, but especially Chattahoochee and Walk the Line!
Amazing lista, great video as we are getting usted to. Please, some tutorials! They dont see overly complicated, but It is a nice excuse to hear Lindsey.
Marty could you do beat the devils tattoo I really like that song and I prefer watching you tutorials so if you could that would be awesome (acoustic) (could do a video with both acoustic and electric)
Country lead guitar players are a million times more talented then Metallica Metallica is awesome in their own way But chuga chug rock is actually easy to play on guitar I've been playing 25 years every kind of much And honestly country lead guitar by far is the best sounding, hardiest to imitate and takes alot of skill to even attempt I'll always love Metallica but country has stolen from my rock roots
Great list!
Looking forward to tackling some of these

Agreed. Lindsay is a great addition to the rotation. Let's just appreciate her for who she is and skip the hair jokes.
The way she holds the pick seems so uncomfortable but it works
I noticed the same thing. Looks awkward as hell.
Everybody seems to hold it differently - I freaked out after watching Marty hold the pick, wondering if I’d been doing it wrong for years. Then I watched Hendrix and I held it the same way (not that I can play as well...)
I believe she's not using a pick and just her fingers
its the way how i hold pick lol

As a Southerner I love this but I am a bluesman but still u gotta love country from Hank Williams johnny cash waylon jennings & so on
I’m a little disappointed she didn’t include Waylon on the list since he is a very influential country guitar player.
SharksCan’tFly 55 or any Willie Nelson... I mean his guitar Trigger is just as famous as Willie is....

Skiing on a single water ski is called slalom skiing, it's so much fun!! Better if you have what's called a competition ski boat:)

Dear Marty Music, can Lindsay Ell have another Guitar Tours? I am curious if it has changed much in three years.
