Honestly kind of disappointed that they got rid of the other four. Feels a bit like how Warcraft lost its way by going from cinematics showing nameless stand ins for the playable races to named human NPCs. It’s not quite there, but it does worry me that they’re going to go down the same road.

Liam Dae dragoons has always been in every ff games since their introduction in ff4. But the armor were only used from 4 and 5 after that dragoons in main ff games have their own normal appearance and clothing.

did they change arr then because i saw none of this when i completed it unless this is in the post 100 quests i have yet to do which i dont consider to be the final moments of arr since that is really the preatorium and everything after that is post arr
FuryousD first half is after the main arr story, where in patches they added story leading up to where “spoilers” she dies via poison and you are chased out of erozea, going into a new nation of ishgard. In this location, the ishgardians and dragons are in a never ending battle between themselves called the “dragon song war”, and this is where this intro leaves off.

MrAhoy It is the new Dragoon Artifact Armor which is based on kain's armor design. Monk get a shirt version of Yang's armor design and the other get similar being based on a old FF character design.
PeroFromBotinec They do some stuff that you can see some previous FF in it, like they have Triple Triad card game from FFVIII, Gold Saucer from FFVII, they have Magitech Armor mounts from FFVI and a bunch of other things, they did have a Lightning Returns event from the release but they haven't done it in a while because it was done just for the release of that game. Cecil isn't in this cinematic nor any of the characters from the previous FF, it's characters from the FF story, you'll know when you play.

atamgwadi this is the 1st expansion. It will add new areas, sky continent, Level cap increase. 3 new Jobs (Machinist, Astrologian, and Dark Knight), new Endgame Raids, continuation of main Scenario storyline, and etc.
