- Pretty messy hunt, also not hitless. My Felyne Moxie was proc'd and I got hit by """chip damage""" several times and had to retreat to heal, especially in the steam phase when I was starting to get nervous with my play. Regardless, my goal was to only do this without carting, so I'll take it.

Probably one of the cleanest runs I have ever seen. This is what requires absolute skill and a calm mind at all times. Speedrunning requires skill of course. But this requires you to be perfect and stay perfect for a very long time.

How do you make sure you have sheathed your weapon every time he roars? Also why did you choose Rustrazor over Stonefist longsword this time?
Rustrazor's natural thick white sharpness and solid raw without any armor skills makes it the most solid LS option for a naked run. The only reason I used Stonefist in the last LS video was because it was a part of the video premise.
About the roar-charge, I'm not 100% clear on the mechanic, but I have a good enough idea of how it works to play around it.
The pointers are
1.) Bloodbath will only roar-combo if you're far enough away from his head. (He will still roar when he transition phase when you do enough damage but he doesn't combo into a charge). In the video, you will see that I would always try to stick close to him and close the gap before he finishes his attacks/combos. Since the run started, he never did the roar-charge until 7:47, where I walked far away from him, expecting him to roar so I could use the opening the sharpen. The same happened at 10:36. I intentionally walked away, triggered his roar so I could use cool drink.
2.) Bloodbath will take some time to reset; certain amount of time has to pass and Bloodbath has to perform certain attacks before it can roar-charge again, depending on his phase. This is the part where I'm not sure what all the conditions are, but the general rule that I use is that a.) for phase 1 and 2, I expect him to be able to roar after 60 seconds have passed. b.) the last phase, he can roar after 80-ish seconds, and he will perform the two big steam explosion attacks in between each roar.
In short, don't go too far from his head to keep him from roaring. Bloodbath doesn't roar twice too close to each time. And you can walk away from him to manually trigger his roar.

You mean the hunter arts? You don't need to wear armor or have armor skills to use hunter arts lol.
