Very thorough review! Appreciated your insights! I already have an expensive bag but have the opportunity to purchase this one second hand for real cheap as a spare bag. Plus, this bag is a little bigger. Thanks again for the review!
I have this pack and osprey unless you're seven-foot-tall you've got those straps that way too high it'll be a lot more comfortable if you put it down around the medium
You have the shoulder straps set for someone who's 6'3+. The Velcro between the shoulder straps let's you move them down, it come set to the tallest adjustment. You want the hip straps on your love handles so they take a lot of the weight, and the straps will then spread more at the top to fit your shoulders.once you have that set put it on and adjust the hip straps and shoulder strap, and the back compression straps to keep the "brain" or lid off the back of your head.
I use this bag alot and I have the 50. These are my summer bags. I find them very durable and roomy. You can't beat the price if you tear it up get another one.
I have a somewhat similarly designed backpack with the same issue of the shoulder straps digging in. I believe the issue is that, while these packs generally have enough adjustment for taller and shorter wearers in terms of length, they have no adjustment for shoulder width. I am 6' tall but have very broad shoulders. A pack that is "one size fits all, will have some compromises here and there. And not having any adjustment for someone with very broad shoulders is why (I believe) that the straps tend to be too narrow and dig into my shoulders. If they could be adjusted outward, the extreme angle would be reduced and therefore would not tend to dig in quite so much. (Maybe if they sold packs with wide, medium and small width strap harness options)? Ya, never going to happen, I know. Just not at this price point for sure.
I have this bag too. I have had it for at least 5 to 6 years and it has done exactly what I needed it to do. I am now ready to move on to another pack as this one has had its day in the sun. What the reviewer talks about is exactly correct, comfort is the main concern with this bag. Also, the head of the bag does not stay in place very well when you are all packed up and ready to go. Those are my only complaints. 3.5 out of 5 stars. 4th star if price is a concern.
Awesome I just bought two at sierra for 39.99 ea One for me and one for my fiancé, I couldn’t be happier specially at that price I thought it was crazy to pass up
That's the key phrase: "for the money". I won't lie, the $300 Osprey felt way better, but it's $300 vs $70 or so. That's $230 you can spend on other gear.
Yes they come with the rain cover👍 I don't make em either but I can give you the answer. Nice way to talk to people tho huh? Specially when is your channel🥶🤦
Ya they are solid man. I have the 80L and no complaints at all, I’ve had it out for a few good over nighters. Great value

Zili look on the bottom of the pack, on the outside. You will see a zipper about 5 inches across. Unzip it, the rainfly is inside.
How much does the pack weigh?
