Because the velocity of the motor rotation is so huge, subtle differences in props make huge changes in drone performance and that is amazing to me.
Really appreciate the trails on your stick movement. Helps me see what's happening. Love the Hurricane 5146.6 on my light weight build. Very durable and responsive. I'm going to give these 51433 on my freestyle build a try. Happy flying, stay safe. 💖🤓
Been rocking these for a month on and off. Nice on a slightly heavier build for a little added punch over the Ethix S4, but really similar feel. Super smooth, controlled. And the neon green color is AMAZING
I use these very exact props on my Race quad 4S, Garila (Top Gun) 2700KV motor, I love them! One time it face planted in the rocks and bent the blades but bent back and no vibrations noticed. They are so smooth! I support your message!
love watching your videos, im just starting out, and whenever i get a little down because i cant flight you always give me a little pep in my step to keep going
Coincidentally yesterday I did a pretty intense side-by-side comparison between 51433 and S3 on my freestyle rig (~680g auw, 6S with 2306 1750kv). Personally liked S3 just a bit more for giving immediate response to input but 51433 was definitely up there, feels halfway between S3 and S4. I think it really is a personal choice and the style of flying, on the flowy vs. manic spectrum
Nice perfect timing! Just got my first drone the vortex mojo 230 and love it. But I still crash a lot and blades are what are holding me back so I’m gonna order me 10 sets right away thanks for the videos they help a lot.
_antwOn I used to fly big helis and am good on the sticks just getting used to having throttle and not pitch controll, also getting used to fpv instead of line of sight. I do have sims thow just my transmitter cables don’t work with the drone sims so have to use Xbox paddle. Not the same. Cables on order thow lol
I'm a new to FPV, I've only ever flown Gemfan WinDancer 5043's. I've flown about 10 packs total and had quite a few bumpy and hard landings and I've only broke 1 prop. I think my experience is a testament to how durable they are. Would love to win 50 sets, there great.
So glad you’re loving the 51433 man, I been flying these consistently for past 2months now and I’m absolutely loving them. I’ve only been through about 4-5sets!
My fav prop! The best part about them is they're like 3.6g, which explains their low throttle resolution, similar to the S3, S4, S5, but they're also 5.1" and efficient. Love them!
Built my stingy v2 forged shortly after yours same xing and esc love these props even at 690 some odd grams Rocking the melon. Hey just a thanks Joshua for all you bring to our amazing hobby!🤙
GEMFAN is KILLING it these days! The 51466 & 51433 are awesome. I switched to 51466 in winter because I found they were much less brittle in the cold than DAL/HQ/Ethix/Azure then I tried the 51433 after kabab's review and haven't looked back since. They are just so nice and forgiving, the control is ridiculous. They hold up well to playground ripping too. I would say the 51433 is like the S3/4 but with more efficiency. Love those Xing 2208 1800's too but I'm on Mr Steele stouts now.
Great prop review! After trying a bunch of different combos I've landed on 2207 2650KV motors and T5143 props. I'll have to give these a go and see how they compare!
Jus bought some from newbee drone last night . So I should have a set soon . I bought like 4 different props . I didn’t think there was a difference until I flew different props . I like long flight time and smooth nest
I got ahold of 30 packs of 51433 props, and I have been using them as my goto prop. I find them to be similar in response AND in durability to the S3's. There's no bunny hopping during throttle application, and they respond thru the entire throttle band. VERY impressive. IMO, HQ hasn't had a real contender for freestyle in quite some time. They do, now, however.
I really like my Xing 2208 motors. Been useing Johnny fpv props, seems to work well. The gemfan 51499's makes it fast. Sucks battery, video jello. I'm going to have to pick some of these up. Thank you Joshua!
@@MattiaMastroianni I tested the gemfans too and i don't think i will change for nothing my HQ 5.1x4.1x3. Flying was identical but HQs i believe are more durable. Harder material that doesn't break althought it is not so soft as the HQs.

Hey there. How do these props compare to say the Ethic Watermelons or Lemon/Limes? I’m running both of these right now and really like them. I find they aren’t overly aggressive and give a nice smooth flight even when banged up a little.
These are racing props too, I promise. On 2207 2650KV, 2206 2750KV, 2207.5 2000KV 6S, 2207 2250KV 6S, 2207.5 2350KV 6S - the speed is great, but the control everywhere is phenomenal. Having the power left to finish an extra lap compared to people flying at the same pace is absolutely wild.
Great review JB. I’ve been wanting to try these props but I haven’t even flown my freestyle quads in about 3 months now lol. I’ve been sticking with racing my arc one builds and now my switchback builds. But now that you said the xing 2208’s May be a bit much for the prop I still wanna fly it lol. I’ve got the xing 2208 1700’s on my fl1 dolphin build but have been having a time finding a prop to stick with on them. I do like the hq S5’s and the 5x4.8x3 on them and the gemfan 51499 but their not snappy I think they are more for racing or at least a different motor. But for most of what I do the S5 has been great.
About T-motor 5143 and 5143S.Maybe it is not so much durable sometimes cuz of lighter weight. But they should be good...cuz they come from same place with gemfan.
Great vid. And great timing. Was wondering why replacing my TYRO99 props with GepRC 5040 props made such a big difference. Will be interesting to see if I can get my GepRC Mark 3 with 5040 props to fly as smooth as my Mark4 HD (5043 props) with your props. Hope I win. Keep doing what you do so well.
Grandpa bardwell, hope you have an excellent video coming up about baking pizza☺️ could you also do one about your lighting for your videos. The lighting in the room with the printers is exceptionally good at least in my book
Nice review joshua! i tested these props some weeks ago. They are very good props as Gemfan props are i general but i was not very pleased with the durability. They are thin and even before crashing after a touch on some branches passing by a bush i saw a lot of deep scars at the edge of the prop. I think they are a bit soft. For sure when bent you can push them back but they are soft in my opinion. So i will stick to the HQs.
hey bro,51433 should be more durable than others...trust me to try the 51433..and sometimes the weight will influence the durable, but we always try to make it more durable.we can not give up both of efficiency and durable.
