Came up so close..if only this race was 264 laps. Anyways, still a good points day and a 2-3 finish for my guys, congrats to Bowman on his first career win! Onto Daytona...oh boy that’s gonna be a nightmare especially with Stenhouse in Hail Mary mode

I was at the race today. The storm was crazy! As a Harvick fan, the first half of the race was awesome. Good racing behind him too. As the race went on, it was fun seeing Bowman and Larson duke it out. Very cool to be a part of something special like that.

Love how it came down to the last few laps, Larson caught and passed the Bowman, the Bowman said no more 2nd place, and retook the lead. Great poise in the clutch.

that was a great finish what a memorable race for a long time and this year the mile and half races were great to perfect nascar getting their groove back slowly but surely
This is what keeps me watching NASCAR: surprise winners. It feels good to finally see a first-time winner again, especially considering this year’s utter lack of parity

0:50 your telling me. I went to the Chicagoland race and the rain that I experienced was insane, but I stayed until the rain was over. Once it started to clear the race began and let me tell you guys is that this race was the best I have seen and I thing it was better then the race last year but that is just my opinion. Plus after all this I am even more excited for next year and the best part is that the race will take place in my birthday. So that is in absolute double win.😁😁😁

I went to this race row 5 amazing experience
I was up till 9:30 watching the race. I liked seeing Alex getting his 1st cup win as I was with Chase Elliott. I like your shirt Eric.
So happy to see the 88 back in victory lane! This was a really good race too, I can see Bowman winning a couple more this season.
This was the first time I went to Chicagoland in 4 years, for the Xfinity race, and haven't seen the Monster Energy series there since 2013, this was easily the best race I've seen there since my first year going to the track, 2008 (which was also a night race)
As a bowman fan loved this race great racing and loved the multi groove on long runs

Keegan Lowe I knew that still sucks it could have been a non wing race but that’s still considered a sprint car
Logano ran Truex up the racetrack and hit him in the left front. I was hoping that he'd go back to back, but its good to see Bowman in victory lane
Not to mention, since Daytona is next, I hope Matt DB or Michael McDowell wins next week.
Tonight, Bowman was a showman, not a slowman, and now if Bowman can grow a frowman, he will be double the showman. Bowman the showman.

I think this seriously may have been the best race of the season. Great racing, controversy, T.V. coverage and finish. So happy Alex Bowman pulled it off. I thought it was over when Kyle Larson got by him.
I hope Johnson and Byron win this year just so all of them won a actual race
It was nice to see the lights out at Chicagoland again. Hopefully it goes back to being a night race.
good races on big tracks: Atlanta texas kansas Charlotte
Bad races on big tracks: Vegas Michigan pocono auto club
It’s too inconsistent to be considered good. I’d say do the 2018 package on every track 1 mile and smaller + road courses, and do this lower HP package on the big tracks. I don’t love this package but I don’t hate it cause everyweek I don’t know what to expect sometimes it’s amazing sometimes it’s terrible.
2014: alex was backmarker
2015:missed the daytona 500
2016:got to race hendrick was a contender running in top 5s
2017:
2018:raced hendrick for full time gets lots of top 10 and top 5s stated on the pole in the dayona 500
2019:lead laps, finishes 2nd 4 times and gets a win
2016: part time
I like what Bowman did to fight back for the win. Side draft and couple little bumps. That showed something, to me. Needs to drive more like that, more aggressive.
Also the chemistry of the NBC booth is really good, imo. Jr. is very exciting, Burton gets fired up, and Letarte is pretty good too. Also NBC has the score-ticker on the screen, and they also give you a pop-op for penalties issued during the race unlike FOX. NBC just has a better presentation.
I think it kinda gets overlooked with Alex Bowman's story...it's what people are hoping will happen with guys like Dibenedetto and Chastain. He runs for years with back marker teams getting better finishes than the equipment is providing. He gets a shot and makes the most of it. He then received a top end ride and went out and won his first career race off of talent and hardwork by studying what he did wrong at Kansas
Never been that big of a fan of the Hendrick guys but I think I have another driver I will be rooting for alongside of Larson, KB, and Blaney. Used to call him Average Bowman but his performance the last few months have made me a fan. Nationwide is making a mistake by not continuing to sponsor him!

I believe todays good race was more to do with the track surface in its prime and multiple grooves than the package. I feel like the race would have been good regardless of package.
I like how he proved Nationwide wrong and I’m glad he didn’t win in a Nationwide main sponsor car.
But then if he won in a nationwide sponsored car they might reconsider to sponsor him one more year...
I was at the Kansas Race and Saturday at 11pm I decided to go to the Chicagoland race. Drove 5 hours, was so worth it. But yeah few things of note, Almirola was never really a contender. Bowman had the best car, because Harvick wasn’t able to ever pull away like Bowman did. Also not to mention. Larson, Bowman, Johnson, and Elliott were all battling for 2nd-5th and still were gaining on Harvick. I wonder if the TV coverage did justice to this race. In summary it was better than the Kansas race.
Are you going to vlog when you go to the Slinger Nationals? It would be really nice for the track to get some national exposure
Another great race!! They just need to get a more dramatic “stepped splitter” they ran at the All-Star Race that would help the “dirt air” issue. But other than that, it was once again a great race!!

Congrats for a first time winner in Bowman but since the only car with good down force is the first place car. Get rid of splitters and go back to spoilers which were in use in the 70-90's and the grandstands were full.
It was 98 degrees, during the day. After the rain it was 76.

Chicagoland race was very Amazing this time!! Hendrick motorsports' performance was great, Jimmie Johnson was very competitive in the top 5 all day long, and Alex Bowman wins it all!!! Great day, I give Chicagoland race an 8.5/10

Was cheering for Larson in hope of getting redemption, but it was awesome seeing Bowman win for the 1st time!. I Love the race, and it was just clean, fun and exciting racing! Could we say 1.5 mile tracks are fix we this package? Still have worked to do, but I think NASCAR can work on it!
