Hey , thanks for your video. It's the only one I found which talks about console 7 inside of ableton. I read that console 7 need unity gain to function properly, so you can't use the faders inside of ableton. How do you work around this issue? Do you use only the gain on the console plugin? I ask because it doesnt show the dB number. Also I often do freeze and flatten tracks, sometimes I forget to deactivate console, so the effect gets multiplied. I think I'm going to inside the whole console stuff only when I start to mix. Anyway thank you, your channel seems cool.

Console 7 does not need a unity plugin to work in Ableton. You can in fact treat it like a utility plugin itself for volume automation, but keep in mind it saturates the signal more the harder you push into it.
Tbh I actually just use it in its default setting and slap it on every track (and the receiver on the master). It saturates things very nicely and I rarely adjust it much. I even use it on my masters- that’s how good it sounds :)
Glad you enjoyed the channel- cheers! 🤘🏼

Thanks for your fast answer. I meant console 7 needs unity gain ( ableton faders at 0), not a unity plug-in.

@@EtonFisch I don’t think Console 7 needs unity gain to sound good. Just use it as a saturation plugin in your chain. Make sure it’s the last plugin in your chain and you’ll be fine :)
