Can you please do a video how to fix the Ice dispenser that got stuck. Because I often get smaller ice, somehow it melts then freeze and just stuck there, in the dispenser by the door. Thank you.
When you initially start up your fridge do you leave your ice maker handle up or down when it starts the cooling process. Or do you wait till the freezer part is all cooled down before flipping the ice maker handle down?
I have a new French door Whirlpool refrigerator, made in Mexico, model WRS321SDHZ08. It does not have the metal lover you describe, or any other visible means of shutting off the ice maker. Please tell me how to shut it off.
I thought I finally found the answer to how to turn my Whirlpool ice maker on when I saw the freezer door front was exactly the same as mine. Sadly, There is no wire bar on my icemaker which, according to the manual, is one of 4 possible ice makers that they install. Not one of them matches what is in my freezer. Yours is a good video and I thank you for that. However, it is back to the search.
If you don't have the metal bar, pull out the ice maker fully and look under where you pulled the ice box from. There's a small black switch under there 🤦🏾♂️ took forever to find hope this helps

Damn thing was delivered today and I meant to ask this question but I figured it had an arm as you show and like every other refrig I have ever had. Any clue how to shut it off? It's making ice....no problem there. But when I go out of town I like to shut it off. I called the number the delivery guy left me but the Geek Squad(Best Buy) just puts you on permanent hold. I've asked the question on their website but who knows if anyone will ever respond. Very frustrating.
I have never connected the ice maker to a water supply, yet the ice maker continues to cycle on and off (annoying noise) whether I put the lever in the "on" or "off" position. Can you help stop the cycling on and off?

Hi i just bought the same model today and the ice is not dispensing, what do i have to do l, i turned the switch on and connected the water too but it has not dispensed ice yet its been about 12 hours since i set it up.
This was really helpful. I ran a diagnostic test and pulled the lever down and it worked. Thanks so much for this.

I have reset the ice maker but theres no water dispensing into the ice tray. Does it mean the line is frozen??

I left switch on - will it automatically stop making ice when bucket is full = or do I manually have to switch if off to stop making ice.
