There’s also the fact that in the 2014 movie, Godzilla had differing sizes, some being beyond 600 ft, and considering that kotm sometimes tries to keep a similar sense of scale as 2014, you could be mixing it up.

Electro magnetic radiation. Godzilla absorbed some of the said radiation at the north pole. You can see the same shade of pink in very rare forms or northern light auroras.
Too much purple/pink in Godzilla and the fighting in Hollow Earth was just meh. No sense of scale. That is what makes the city fights so good, you have a good sense of the size of monsters at all times. Floating around in a crystal cave just makes em look like a pack of average sized apes vs a chunky lizard....while floating. I still love the movie, just not hat part of it.
