I don't identify as black because I'm Hispanic from Mexico not Hispanic from an island. Hispanics have different roots since it's such a broad term.
Daisy Flores alot of mexicans are finding out they in fact have african blood running through their veins.
Nadi B She is a mix, she is not black, she comes from part of an island where most people descent from Black and White people but in México only less than 5% of people has notorious black roots and in other countries like Argentina or Chile the percentage is even lower.
Plus Hispanic is not a correct term because Hispania is a Peninsula in Europe, the actual Hispanics are those from Portugal and Spain.
I've seen a lot of black Puerto Ricans get shut down by black Caribbeans and Africans for identifying as black. Pretty sure that's why they don't identify as black. I just say i'm Puerto Rican and end it there lol
