Try raising the fork tubes up a little bit to compensate for the slower steering with the taller tire. I know there isn't much room before the forks hit the handlebars, but give it a try
best power mod is learning how to ride and get on the gas quickly. Best gearing for getting the front end up is learning how to ride. Power mods are last on the list after ergonomics mods, brake mods, suspension set up, learning how to ride, trackdays, THEN power mods. Most people are slower after power mods while feeling like they are faster
curious if there is a rear shock setting for drz you prefer after changing the front fork settings. because the rear is as soft as the front from factory and usually sags over 100mm for alot of riders
I bought a 2022 and don’t plan on tracking it often, I already have the rubber killers installed, is maxing the compression and dampening mainly for track racing ?
So, not an annodized master cylinder cover and stickers? I don't understand.
Next vid!
False. The most important mod is a slip on exhaust. That way even if you’re slow, at least you sound fast

man both are sooooooo important!!!
@@socalsupermoto its all about looking good for the ladies😂😂
Very nice video, big up from italy !
Big up
Sweet, will do when the DR-Z4SM comes in :)
yew!

Playing with fork height is always a cheap awesome option for bike set up. Great reminder!
Set sag it's free and is critical
yup!
Would love to see a video on setting up a TTR for track. Please. Do you run 12" wheels on yours?
I just added it to the video idea list! thanks for the suggestion!
Do those upside down forks bolt right on or do they require an adapter?
max both up top, rebound on bottom, max and then back off 4 clicks is our baseline
@@socalsupermoto does the triple tree shaft match up or is there an adapter to make the new forks fit?

Im 7 out up top and 12 on bottom . Also a new dizzer rider. Ill try top in and bottom 4 out this weekend. @socalsupermoto
What's the best power mods? Also gearing to get front end up

Are we maxing out both compression settings on the front forks or just the larger adjuster

I honestly don't pay attention to sag, I just play with clickers until it's in the ballpark and go ride!
Spend $75 and go to Dave Moss for suspension woes.
on my sm dizzer I got a shock spring right for my weight (220) and it made all the difference. small price for a huge change.
Are you running stock tire sizes front and rear?
150/r 120/70 front
any adjustment on the rear shock?
max compression, touch of preload
So the conti Attack Sm evo tires are a no go?
I'd go Dunlop Q5. OMG that is a good tire
Hey what rear size tires is best 150/60/17 or 140/70/17 ?
on a drz 150 dunlop q5s. boom
Do you still use the inner tubes?
yes we've had the best luck with bridgestone tubes

Yes, but honestly spin the clickers until you like it. Don't be afraid to experiment with the suspension settings. they can transform the bike!
Yew!
Totally!
Is the reae suspension stock settings?
max compression and maybe a touch of preload
Can you set up a school in the UK, weathers not as good as what you have… ignore my question I will move to you 👍
haha right. just come over already!
So sorry the dumb question : when he says q3+ and q4+ is he talking about the wheels ? or tires? or both ? 🤯
yeah just talking about the Dunlop tires, We now run Dunlop Q5 which are AMAZING!!!
@@socalsupermoto I think I will join the session on november 19
@@socalsupermoto Thank you
200,000 miles… can’t ask for more reliability than that.
Well there may have been a build or two in there
@@socalsupermoto still great reliability though
suzuki still the best,, 😀😀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
i'm with ya!
