101 was the coolest shit ever, even in the World Trilogy era with Marcus and Clyde on. It's a pure influence that stays and never gets old. Genius and magic times on VHS. The Golden era.
I THINK the part that Chris is may be thinking had the Gangstarr track was Koston’s part in 101 Falling Down “Now You’re Mine”. I skated during that era and Airwalk ONEs and Simple shoes were definitely a staple of that time.
Adam McNatt was one of my favorite skaters from that era because his tricks seemed so far above what everyone else was doing. Like 50-50 nollie flip out on rails and weird tech stuff like that. I also loaded up on simples back in the day because a Denim Works at our local mall went out of business and had like 90% off of everything, so I got a bunch of pairs for basically nothing.
That was my first time hearing Wu-Tang Clan. Then I saw them on Yo! MTV Raps filming “Da Mystery of Chessboxin’” video. Bought the cassette right after that.
I've probably seen Snuff 50 times, and I never knew that Ben Liversedge had a cameo. Especially on VHS, you can't expect someone to be like "Oh, different blurry face" you gotta have a name on the screen, come on.
Snuff was filmed in 93 but released in very early 94 if I remember correctly. Because Falling Down was 93 and WWII Report was 92. I’m not 100% positive, so can anyone verify? One of the best things about this video is that it came in dead stock covers from older skate videos. Mine came in a Team Hosoi SK8 Hard case. 😂
Robinson’s May was on Wilshire. THATS WHERE GIRL SKATEBOARDS WAS FIRST TALKED ABOUT GETTING STARTED ! Big ass 3 wide stairs. Cock switch tre flipped up’em in a line bout 30 year’s ago.
Dill was way ahead of his time on those tricks selection, I kinda feel he use to stretch his legs when landing tricks or its just they way he skated, doesn't matter though he ripped!
Kelly that is a awesome plan dude! I would love to see some of the old backyard pools and the Kidney , Toilet and other notorious bowls from the Dogtown days! I wanna see that hill Nuge bombed , and all the legendary spots in SoCal. Sign me up. 🤙🛹
That spot that you all refered to as “the firm video spot” where Gino does the SBTS shove is Glendale high, legendary early 90’s spot. Everone rolled through, but the Firm def owned it.
I’d rather watch Gabriel’s switch heel repeated the length of mcnatt’s part than watch his part. I agree. Gino’s take off was totally guy oriented. Soc needs to be on the show ! The Ponds ! lol I can’t believe he hasn’t been there lol I Love Skate History.
Zero-Two were the OG vegan shoes. So rad. Simple shoes were kinda ugly. I was never into them, even though Gonz rode for them for a minute. Apparently I missed out on comfort.
annoying to hear about nollie back tail bonks and other skaters when bangers are going down. and crob you lost cool points saying gang starr lol actually all of you. dang you missed keenan too at 21:58
The possibilities of reviewing old skate videos seems to be limitless. PLEASE KEEP DOING IT.... FULL PARTS TOO

Dude, I love this fuckin show. You guys seriously speak my language and you talk about what I think about. Awesome, seriously.

Love the fact that these guys are somewhat near to my age so when they take the time to review these videos it's like going back into my youth!
Same
I remember 93 like yesterday👍

The Jason Dill song is Brenton Wood's "Gimme Little Sign."
It was surprising to me that these guys didn't remember Method Man in that Gino part. A classic!
Them not knowing was a serious glitch in the matrix.
@@paulestrada9498 would still take any or all of them on my skate trivia team! Yeah that was actually a thing.
Especially because for a lot of my generation that was the first introduction of Wu, so that part had a double impact.
That was my first time hearing Wu-Tang Clan. Then I saw them on Yo! MTV Raps filming “Da Mystery of Chessboxin’” video. Bought the cassette right after that.
Agreed. I’m shocked they didn’t know Gino skated to “M.E.T.H.O.D. Man” in Snuff. That shit is legendary and a perfect skater/song pairing.
The Gino front heel in that line.... god damn....
Right? lol boned the absolute living fawk outta that front heel. Go try to learn that shit and do it like THAT. Fawking Impossible.

Eric Koston skates to Gang Starr “Now Your Mine” in 101 Falling Down.

Steezus, my first thought was No Coast when watching this! Love that video.

He always amazed me how casual he pushed up to a stair set, slow and smooth...it always looked like he wouldn't have enough speed. Legend.

thats fire. thanks for the knowledge. glendale in LA?
Yes in LA, but the spot is defunct, spent a night in jail for skating it, my friend punched the principal...ahh the 90’s
@@paulestrada9498 thats amazing haha. i wish i was able to skate the pit in venice before it got wrecked
Kelly’s Skate Tours

Do kelly and rodger have beef? They seem to always get on each other's nerves
You need to review Arto Saaris parts!!
