Would you like to see more ambient light colors/locations in the CX-9 or is it perfect? How do you like those adaptive lights? *Thanks for stopping by!* - Nolan
I personally don’t need the different colors of ambient lights. Seems kind of like a toy feature (maybe make the colors an optional thing for those who want it). I would prefer they make more buttons back lit and some very faint ambient light by your feet than the option to change colors. I have the adaptive head lights on my car now, I’m spoiled, they’re great.
I love the night time light reviews. I like that you check the fog lights. For me, I use them to light up areas on the sides of the road to help me watch for deer and other animals trying to cross the road (not what the fog lights are made to do). I also find your night reviews oddly relaxing. Please keep doing these. This lets us “see” what we are getting for the money we might spend on a new vehicle.
Hi Prime Autotainmnet, I must have watched at least 15 videos about CX9 and so far your one excel over others because others dont cover Night drive and lights which are key in choosing a car. Apart from the Crappy for light, I think everything is sufficient for a SPORTY, reliable 3 raw suv. EXCELLENT VIDEO- PRESENTATION, clarity is top notch for a night video, no blah blah talking, precise and clear. Well done. I am subscribing now :)
True 'fog lights' would have an amber or amber/brown lens or bulb. The driving (or auxiliary) lights on cars today have a clear lens and a white light.
I was completely blinded by the adaptive headlights on a CX-9 after it backed out it’s driveway 😵💫. As soon as the driver turned the wheel to drive (I was approaching in the opposite direction) I was blasted with light. They’re very good.
Please keep doing these reviews for cars, how good the headlights are is a very important point in the car purchasing process. Also, great reviews, subscribed!
My wife test drove the brand new 2022 Acura MDX (she had a 2015 MDX) and didn't like it. Felt too big to her driving it and she liked the CX-9 better. Ended up getting a red Signature with a really nice parchment (white) Napa leather interior.
We are using the 2024 model CX9 and the difference of light brighness and auto function is huge. I love using the car for long distance especially to low light areas in provinces.
Thank you! I have been waiting for your night review, they are super informative! I agree the distance of light can be improved but they are very bright and clear. Thanks so much! 👍🏾
I think the lights the adapted lights are great they do the job perfectly I agree with you I'd like to see a little bit more of the ambient lights in the vehicle especially around the dash. I think every car should have these kinds of Lights
I have a Mazda 6 and the low beams are also not quite high enough. I also have the older infotainment system. About my only complaints, love the car (Signature Turbo).
Hey there. The AHB turns ON when your speed limit is >=40mi. That's why even when there's no oncoming traffic; it will turn them off! Mazda CX9 is very refined vehicle. Its sad that tons of crowd criticize for lacking V6 but trust me it outplays the 3.6 with the 2.5 Pressure Turbo engine. And I bet you; you never gonna get the hearty satisfaction driving any other SUVs like it; trust me not even AUDI/BMW etc who just play with their brand names. I feel lucky to have one. I have driven almost 10-15 SUVs and would always vouch for MAZDA! And the interiors, lighting, exterior are just superb! For your info: the backup and rear turn signals are not LED. People can reach me out for converting them to LED; I do advise the best ones to put on but it will be paid service:-) There are some hidden settings that I can also advise if someone's interested with paid service:-)
@@PrimeAutotainment : There are so many permutation and combinations been programmed to have it turned ON keeping everything on safer side. I have tested and tried; they really work well.
I love the night test rides. They are very “enlightening”! I have a 2017 Mazda CX-5 and the lighting system is excellent. Have you driven a Dodge Charger at night?
Never. EVER... buying another Mazda. The LED low beam headlight went out on our 2017 CX9. Only a $600 part with $200 labor for something that should have been able to be fixed by oneself for less than 10 bucks. Good work Mazda!!!
Why would one ever turn off the automatic high beams? They are a godsend that brightly illuminate (safety first) unless oncoming traffic is coming your way.
Because they’re not perfect, can turn on when oncoming traffic is coming, not turn on sometimes when they should. Great for most of the time but there are definitely times when they can be finicky
We love our 21 CX9 carbon edition. The only complaint is that the headlights don't shine far enough down the road on low beam. When you are traveling at night on the interstate doing 75-80 it would be nice to have more light.
Now this looks like a luxury vehicle 😯 especially with this ambient lighting. If the logos were removed from everywhere I’m sure people could be fooled that they were in a luxury car
Thanks! Yes, I believe the fog lights can be on if the headlight control knob is turned to the parking lights, that way headlights won't be on but fog lights should be
Im not sure now if i should get the cx5 or the cx9.. daily commuter for just me.. space isnt a priority but the cx9 seems nicer. Does it handle the same as the cx5?
The US market doesn’t have that. None of the brands are allowed to have the glare free high beam technology, just automatically switching between high and low beams

Like the lighting for sure
Lighting is nice. I agree with you that I wish the low beams reached further but its definitely bright enough and they way they turn is awesome.

The adaptive lighting is really great. Great review

I love the fact that this is a night review !
Night reviews are always awesome 👌. I like the few upgrades that were made. Hope all is going very well for you all Nolan. I appreciate you!!!
Glad to hear it Key and Thank you very much!
Drove one the other night, and it’s definitely on my short list. Good-looking car, more so than the Acura MDX.
Very nice, there’s a lot to like about it!
I have 2 sister in laws with Acura MDX. Doesn’t even come close to the CX 9 both interior and exterior.
But not the telluride nor palisade

Unfortunately beginning of last month someone t-boned me and totaled my GT Cx-9
I ended up buying a 2019 Traverse 3LT
CX9 is my kinda vehicle!!! I must have a Mazda.
I hear ya!
What about the telluride and palisade?
@@bradleyscarreviews ew those are alright but they don’t take pride in craftsmanship like Mazda does

Beautiful even at night Good review
Thank you!
Great video, looking at CX-9 and was curious at headlight performance at night.
Can’t wait to get mines the 2022 version same color. It look so beautiful at night ❤️.
My first time watching this channel. I enjoyed this helpful video. Thanks.
Beautiful vehicle! Going to look at a black touring trim this Sunday and take it for a test drive
Love the night videos. Very rare.
It's gorgeous.

Agreed, I bought CX9 a few months back and love it. The handling is superb.
I would buy one if it had a six
I have 2019 and I manually behind the headlight I raise them up a little more because yes they were too low and now wow amazing.

Does the CX-5 comes with the grill light up front ?
Love the night review idea we don’t see it often on RUclips 👍🏼
I think it's only on the cx9 signature.
The 100th anniversary edition also has the cool lit up grill. I actually own one
Just bought one. Love the interior :)
I want one so bad, hopefully next year 🙏

I love it.
I ordered one. Good to get used to it before arrival. Thanks.
Did you ever receive your car ? Impressions ? Thinking of purchasing 2021 signature.
Yay just got my CX9 GT SP!! Love it
If this thing had an inline six turbo with bigger third row, it could have been a winner.
It's called the CX-90, it's coming next year.

Does the ambient lighting have a blue hue?
Also, is there a blue strip underneath the centre console (similar to the previous CX9 models) ?
I want those lights on my 2018

At above 40 thousand dollars I'd call that luxury.
The problem with LEDs esp at very dark places, you have to high beam to see further
u r right
Beautiful
Omg im tired to trying turn on the LED around the grill .. how i can do it help plz 😭
I do hope Mazda offer alternative midsize SUV’s in their lineup in between the cx 5 and cx 9..
Me too!
The CX8 is available, but only overseas. There's really no need to bring it to the US because it's only fractionally larger than the CX5.
