    Love this tutorial, I do BJJ and no gi but i really like to learn wrestling techniques because i don't want to be just another guard puller and the double over hook suplex is one of my favorites.

    Nice! I like the detail about the step around positioning and cross step. Can you do a video on how to develop a good back arch? I feel like there's a lot we could learn from you about that

    I feel like side-stepping throws are always more effective. If they square up fast then you are in the straight throw anyway. I guess there is an advantage to being able to go straight back when you are on the out-of-bounds line.

      For me, I've always struggled stepping to the outside. I thinks it's body type issue. I was always significantly taller than my opponents and my hips were never low enough for dood outside step throws.

    • @7mikepd
      @7mikepd 2 года назад

      @@PrimeWrestlingSystem I agree. I'm also much taller than my opponents but it is all torso so it's not difficult for me to drop my hips. At the same time, my neck is a 1.5 inches longer than the average person my height. This has caused fear as I drill to develop my arch. I'd love to see drills to develop a back arch.

    Poor Conner. He gets thrown so many times, lol. He's like an NPC in a video game. You call out "CONOR!" and your computer NPC spawns and you can practice throwing him, lol.

    How to get better at your back arch ?

    • @PrimeWrestlingSystem
      @PrimeWrestlingSystem  2 года назад +3

      Wall Walks are an important warm up skill! Take one step away from the wall, do a 1/4 squat, exploding from your hips. Then look up and backwards. Walk down the wall using your hands.
      Keep your hips high and extend all the way to your toes.
