Multiple problems with this bill that will create dire consequences. Yes, it asks for impossible compliances (that's the point, btw, it's not by accident), which will cause developers/users/miners to be forced to pack-up and leave the US, or risk charges, and/or, if applicable, refuse business to US customers and partners. We already see this happening over the legal uncertainty and SEC threats with protocols locking us out of their platforms, hitting us with the ol "US citizens not eligible." The government's so-called " consumer protections" have cost me a lot of money over the last several years. Would have cost more if not for VPNs. Nearly every airdrop over the last few years excluded US citizens. Many defi and semi-defi protocols exclude us.
If this bill were to pass, it would only get worse... a lot worse. And once again, the little people would be locked out of opportunities for our "protection," which is what Bitcoin, crypto, and defi was created for to begin with. Of course that's exactly what they want. We found a work-around from the "rich only club" and they want to kill it.

The US government could require every business that accepts Crypto to report sales over $X amount of crypto to the government. Much like banks are required to report any cash deposit over $10,000. If you pay for a service or product and pay with Crypto and it's above the threshold....you get reported to the government. This would be a LOT easier to do and would have a negative impact on Cryptos adoptions.
