Its not overboosted , just well tuned. Just like how duramax proprietary tech is used for the chevy line up to get more torque the isuzu engine does the same. The 2.8 liter of the innova is just really undertuned.

My point is, if they make the engine bigger, and offer a reasonable amenities inside then it can be a strong competitor to atleast convince the buyer because 1.6m is not a money to waste yes you may be saying it can lessen the fuel economy but tbh with you its competitors has the same fuel economy figures.
