I came to say this lol. He panicked in his mind but was so kind. Like, “it’s not too late you want me to order you one?” Without saying, cause you can’t have mine!
It’s good to see this because as a British person living in England we forget what a beautiful country we live in, the best in the world in my opinion… ty
You are such great travellers, always ready to enjoy and appreciate and take an interest. And treat the places you go to with respect. You look as if you had a good time, really hope you did.
What a great vlog! My daughter lived in England for 4 yr.s,and the locals told them ,dont cancel your plans due to rain,or you'll never see anything!Such beauty there!! Hugs from Missouri 😊❤
You must have seen the last rain we’ve had in ages! It’s a heatwave here now. I would recommend visiting the Lake District. I’ve just got back from a week there and it’s absolutely stunning.
Ah I'm so glad you were charmed by our English countryside. I live in a quaint little village called Shillingstone in North Dorset and am loving living here and raising our children here. We are so lucky ❤
My husband listens to crackling wood fires and rainy days as white noise to go to sleep at night. I love the English countryside. Thankyou for sharing.
Hi Ryan's mom Sam here.... the English countryside is so beautiful (even in the rain😂) you forget because you live here how lovely it is and it makes me happy knowing that you love our cute cottages and country lanes 😊 America has some Beautiful places and thats why i watch your RUclips channel because i will never get to them but i see them through you so thank you from me xx
I regularly meet my Aunt in Painswick, as I live in Bath and she in Stratford upon Avon. Painswick is about halfway between us. So pleased you enjoyed Painswick as it is beautiful town. The weather in the UK is superb at the moment, I can't remember when we had any rain!
I think it is so cool when you connect with people and share in something as simple as Les the Log . To think how many people walked those beautiful paths. There is something about that countryside you won’t experience even in the oldest place in the US - so much history is preserved there. This was really something else!
So glad you came to England. I love watching your family journeys and home renovation. I live in South Coast of England by the sea. So great to see England through your eyes. God bless.
You have lived my perfect day, a spring walk in the countryside, bluebells and a pub, English heaven. I live in a beautiful village and I love it dearly
I actually think Andrew is British! He looks truly at home and you are clearly all loving things that I take for granted every day living here in GB. I remember the video where Megan and Andrew went to York for his birthday way back when and I thought then how 'at home' he seemed. Enjoy xx
Looking at the buildings I kept thinking how they withstood plagues, fire, wwII bombings, protests, and everything in between. Truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing your trip with us, Andrew!
The Cotswolds, The Lake District, and the Yorkshire Dales are UK gems. Take a moment to reflect on how so much more enjoyable it is to have access to our network of public footpaths. There is no such thing as bad weather in the UK. It is just that you have the wrong clothing.
I can't describe how much I LOVE these videos of your England trip. I feel like I have goosebumps most of the time, especially on your walk through the countryside. I also soaked up the fireplace moment while I sit here on a cool Winter's morning in the Adelaide Hills, Australia.
What a magical time you had! My family emigrated from England to Canada when I was 14, and I still miss it! Oh and the dancers were doing Morris dancing and goes back centuries! edit: I went to hh travel,I`ve subscribed to their website, which is beautifully done! Can`t afford to travel but will be spreading the word!
Loved this video, looks like you are having the best time. My son and daughter in-law are going to Japan in November this year, I have sent them a link to Elija's new youtube channel :)
How can you possibly have all of that beautiful country side all to yourself? Incredibly charming!! Overwhelmingly blessed! You’re not in Mead any more, Knorpps.
I'm sure I will never get to England, so thanks for taking us along on this wonderful hike through the English countryside. Everything about your trip so far is just lovely
I've lived in the UK my whole life and it's so, so wonderful. Beautiful villages, thriving cities, castles, stately homes, mediaeval churches, old walls etc everywhere. And it's so green. Seeing others appreciate it and visit places I've never seen, makes me feel a bit teary!
We were just in Italy. Day one Rome, the airline lost my luggage which had my raincoat. It poured. You can’t let bad weather stop you from exploring. You just keep going and dry off eventually! Love the vacation vlogs. Feel free to post more frequently to get us caught up to real-time. So we can also see the house updates. Loved seeing the chandelier was up!
You know you have succeeded as parents when you can share your children's dreams. I can see your new home turning into a quintessentially (very cosy) British home !
I feel like we won’t to England with you all I so enjoy watching you walk through beautiful English countryside and appreciate the rain, the cheese the apricot bread. And of course, no bugs and no heat. Thumbs up! Thanks for sharing!

The dance is called Morris. No one really knows how old it is, but certainly several hundred years. There are different versions that come from different parts of the country. The version you saw is called Cotswold, and tends to be gentle. If you head north west you get Border Morris, which is faster, the dancers wear tatters rather than smart clothes, and they tend to be much more violent with the sticks. I have seen them shatter pick-axe handles!
These have been gorgeous videos. What has struck me most is how when you are walking around, the streets and sidewalks are so empty. Did it feel like that in person?
I loved this video. It was definitely like stepping back in time. I know now why the English homes for the most part have beautiful gardens. It is because it rains so much. Andrew was right. One could image knights riding through those towns. The music you chose for the videos was perfect for the scenery. The Church was gorgeous. The stained glass was breathtaking.
So happy you’re going to York! When Andrew mentioned medieval knights, I thought immediately of the Shambles. Hope you enjoyed…and maybe got to do a York ghost walk?! 👻
wallpaper in cafe was william morris megan he invented the arts and craft movement in uk there's his house in scotland that has all his furniture and wallpaper in it that you would love it
Ahh loving watching your videos of England. Living here it’s so easy to forget how beautiful it is. Love that you’ve had the true British experience of torrential rain and then blue skies all in one day. And that you’ve been experiencing British pubs! Can’t beat proper pub grub (food). Those Morris dancers made me chuckle, promise we all don’t dance like that there😂 x
The dancers at the end of your Vlog are Morris Dancers.. many villages have them, where I grew up in Grenoside, they also had a band of these merry men… used to come around spring time…the tradition started in the year 1448 !!!!
It seems strange, now. 30 years ago I was constantly driving through the Cotswolds ( 3 or 4 times a year / sometimes twice a week ) ) on my way between Lincolnshire / Yorkshire and South Wales - and never took much notice of the place. Seeing this I want to go back, stop and have a look.
Apricot loaf 🍞 yum 😋 it’s beautiful 😊thanks for posting the amazing buildings and landscape. Andrew, Thanks for picking London and hope your trip was as you expected and more. Megan, y’all should have picked a couple of those flowers for the seeds to plant by your home and you would have a flower from London every year 🌼
England is lovely, I just never expected it to be this nice. I suppose we consider Ireland as so beautiful it makes the UK take second place. The old buildings in England are amazing for sure.
Welcome to rainy England lol !! Enjoy your stay over here though . I have just flown over to Litchfield CT to spend 3 weeks with my son and am so happy to be here .. weather is sunny, hot and beautiful ❤❤❤
I loved this video, thanks for sharing. I live in Staffordshire and have not been to Painswick but I shall be visiting very soon thanks to you. There are lots of beautiful places in the Cotswolds like Broadway and Bourton on the water. We really don’t appreciate what is on our doorstep sometimes. I’m glad you enjoyed your time here in England. Love your new home too. I watch all your videos. Love from England 🏴
Thank you so much for taking us along with you ! Getting to see a country I have only dreamed of seeing !! Just a beautiful video ! I also love the music you set it too !
SOOOO lovely! Thank you. It's so funny that you chose a movement from Dvorak's American string quartet for the background music of the rainy English countryside (at the 9:40 mark or so) - though you guys are there, and YOU'RE American! Simply charming. Many, many thanks!
I just loved your walk through the countryside! What a treat to see the Morris Dancers. My children were morris dancers and I have been watching Morris dancers for decades.
We have a saying here in the UK when it's raining. 'great weather for ducks' loved seeing the Morris dancers, big tradition for the beginning of May, in Kent we call it hoddening seasons or the start of hop picking.
I used to drive through Painswick every day for three months once on my way from Gloucester to Minchinhampton. I just love this part of the UK and watching this video brought back so many memories and it felt like I was back in the UK and home 😍
I'm in the North West too. You anywhere near the Ribble? Or are you more Manchester or Liverpool way? Then again could even be Carlisle. I'm just outside the city of Preston and even here we have a ton of thatched cottages and all the things ppl imagine only exist in the cotswolds.
Thanks so much for the mention!!! ❤
You know it, Elijah! Good luck with your exciting new venture!

The hedges have to be trimmed in the UK before bird nesting time and nothing else until after nesting time is over

And how many countries have you visited to be able to claim it's the most beautiful in the world?
@@michaelb2388 It's just a statement of fact. The UK has everything. That's why so many people want to be here; and once here, never move away.
You guys are hearty souls. I would have tried to shelter from the rain. The music you put with this is perfect!!! So English👏🏻👏🏻🥰
Well... except the 2nd and 3rd pieces are by Dvorjak (Czech composer) and are part of the "American Quartet".
You are such great travellers, always ready to enjoy and appreciate and take an interest. And treat the places you go to with respect. You look as if you had a good time, really hope you did.
This was beautifully filmed. Loved the stories. It felt like I was walking along with you guys taking in all of the wonderful sights and sounds:)
Finally this third day Mike is looking relaxed. 👏🏻🥰
