It would help to hold the watches closer to the camera.

Good point. Thanks for the feedback.
I have a new camera which I hope to start using soon ;)

I have an OP and a Snowflake. I like a date. The GS fits me perfectly and it is titanium. Light as a feather. They both were my everyday watch. The OP is nice. No date. Nothing special. I would take the GS, if I had to take one.

I would probably prefer the GS over an OP if the bracelet was adjustable.
Great you have no issues with that ; )

It linen has a vertical pattern.

I thought it was more horizontal which just gives it possible visual alignment issues.
      lovely watch though.

Good morning. We can also compare the Grand Seiko SBGY 009 to the Rolex OP41!

Hi there. Yes, just checked that out online. No date, and dial looks good without power meter on the front.
Probably some significant differences though with it being a smaller manual wind on a strap only.

Great review! Any thoughts on the GS clasp mechanism itself compared to the Rolex? Does it snag on anything?

    • @wristopia4101

      Hey thanks!
No problems snagging or anything that I have noticed. Its just that its piddly looking and the lack of any adjustment that needs to be improved IMO.
The Rolex clasp is next level though!
Has hidden micro adjustment, a flip out micro extension, and hinged/sprung release which is amazingly both smooth and snappy.
GS UK have hinted that GS are listening to buyers and will be doing something about the bracelet/clasp 🤞
Hopefully they will make a retrofittable clasp 🙏

Just want to say this video helped me pull the trigger and I’m now a proud owner of the GS! Wanted to follow up and ask about accuracy and what average timekeeping should be? I seem to be losing about 10/sec a day in my crude testing, not sure if that’s within spec

@@rajansokI have the SBGH273 too and you can try to put the watch not on the side when you don‘t wear it. Instead just lay it flat on the ground, caseback facing table. Otherwise you have still warranty.

Both Great watches! Cant go wrong with either, but at this point I would gladly give my money to GS because Rolex is pissing me off mate!

The GS is possibly my favourite out of those two, but usually Rolex would win with their other pieces for me.
I do not really let politics bother me, but I understand the frustrations.
