Another hint that Neuvillette is the Hydro dragon is that there is a particular sound track that plays I think exactly three times. 1st: When Fremminet is telling us about the Hydro Dragon. 2nd: When Navia gets angry at Neuvillette. 3rd, When Neuvillette has his heart to heart with Navia at the end of the quest. It might play at other times, but I think it's definitely intentional that these three moments are linked together by the same musical theme.

I thought to myself "Oh no, that hit him hard. 😢" Really loved seeing how his personality is so different from what I was expecting based on his design. Still not sure if I'll be pulling for him because I don't know how he plays yet, but the more I learn about him the more the scales are tipping towards needing him to come home.

What’s pretty funny to me is that I had a theory one year ago that he should be the Hydro dragon. Neuvillette was the one who introduced Nahida last year and that made me very suspicious. How the hell could someone introduce us to a newborn Archon BEFORE Rukkhadevata has deleted herself from Irminsul? No one (besides the sages) should know anything about Nahida, because she was imprisoned the whole damn time. The only valid answer would be that Neuvillette is not an ordinary human. And not affected by any changes of the Irminsul. After the appearance of Apep and her not losing any of her memories regarding the fights between Celestia and the sovereign dragons, the answer could only be that Neuvillette is the Hydro dragon. (But I’m not sure if he’s the sovereign dragon from the beginning, like Apep or some kind of descendant). Can’t wait to learn more about him and his past!

Not, to mention she almost looks like a goddess (probably because she’s a high priest). More evidence to back this up when looking at her trailer you can see her in water, as she’s seen often connected to it! Not to mention the island she lives on is called “Watatsumi” which is the name of a sea god appearing in Japanese mythology! 'Watatsumi' means 'divine spirit of the sea' and what is her official name? The young Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island! Even if this is all a coincidence, I like to head cannon that Kokomi is a dragon, but instead her dragon side is sleeping inside.

He's either an Abyss Lector or the Hydro Dragon. There are no other possibilities. That being said, we never actually see him crying during either of the Archon Quests, so everything right now is mostly speculation (though not in a vacuum) based on very little tangible information. All available evidence and logic points to him being the Hydro Dragon, but we won't know for sure until at least Update 4.2, assuming that's when the main Fontaine storyline ends. Before anyone asks "Why do you think it's possible that he might be an Abyss Lector?", not all Abyss Lectors are necessarily evil. Enjou back in Enkanomiya wasn't half-bad a person, he just partially lied to us in order to try and find a certain forbidden book. His goals didn't appear to really align well with the rest of the Abyss Order, as by his own admission during the flagship event in 2.5, he's more concerned with "less consequential things." Though it's not as likely as him being the Hydro Dragon, I wouldn't find it all that hard to believe that Neuvillette is an Abyss Lector gone rogue. What I find bothersome about the whole thing is that human characters during the archon quests talk to Neuvillette while he actively refers to humans in the third person in their conversations with him and they don't even bat an eye, they just treat it as normal. That's not how most real people would actually think or feel around someone who refers to their species that way. The mystery of Neuvillette's identity is being balanced on some rather tenuous needles if you ask me.
Neuvillette is also known as the father of melusines (however i don't know if he is realted somehow with elynas), so maybe that's why no one bats an eye about him talking about humans in third person?
@@Claushanga I assume this information is only available in some of the world quests that I haven't done yet, but if that's the case, I'd think that only the Melusines would really know about that. I wouldn't expect the average everyday citizen of Fontaine to be aware of this.
