I came to refresh my knowledge of 3ds Max. It was the first software I learned during my university days. A while back, I switched to Blender and have become very accustomed to it. I recently got a new job that requires me to work in 3ds Max. No hate towards 3ds Max, it is is a great piece of software, but I find it significantly slower compared to modeling the same thing in Blender, especially with all the Edit Poly thing. It feels quite clunky, and switching back to 3ds Max is a real struggle. Thank you for the tutorial, though!
Thank you so much for this amazingly useful tutorial! Unfortunately, the parts about scattering and lights setup are not for beginners, hope you will have time and desire to make an additional webinar on those subjects! Would be so happy to follow them!
here some causes, that increase render times and some quick tips how to get rid of them: - vray displacement mod / displacement in 3D mode (use displacement only if neccessary in foreground and in 2D mode) - high res textures (8k or 4k is not neccessary in a lot of cases) - lowered blur value < 1.0 on texture maps (sharper textures, but longer render trimes) - fog (use aerial perspective instead of environment fog, don't scatter GI) - scattered items / vegetation (especially if high poly objects with high res textures are scattered) - glass (turn off backside reflection and lower material depth) - high render quality settings (don't go over 16 subdivs) - HDRI dome lights with high res HDRI maps (use built in sky system from vray or corona if possible) - not enough light in interior scene (put more light sources) - high image res (don't go over 4000px on the longest side) - make sure, your hardware is good: min. 64gb RAM, 16 core CPU with GOOD cooling...no laptop

Thanks you so much for all your work ! Thanks for share all this knowledge ! Unfortunately, I can't get the shape of the frame to fit, and the shape I apply is disjointed at the joints of the frames. The problem is that the vertices of my line that we take out of the facade are not connected to each other, they have the shape obviously, but I can't connect them using solder, refine+connect, CrossInsert or any other way. I would appreciate your help please. Thank you very much for everything again. It's a pleasure to have people like you in the world.
