I always wondered how in the world simone would protect the universe from the spiral nemesis if he was just going to die in ~80 years. Being immortal probably helps
Its funny to think Simon ate about 3 multiverses over the course of the series. He absorbed the energy from the dense space pool (made up from other fallen spiral warriors from different universes). The Multi dimensional time labrynth (pretty straight forward) and the Infinity big bang storm.
As someone who is currently making a google doc (20k words so far) outlining all different scaling chains, different continuity scales and such. @@TheMKninja Yeah, no problem I noticed the post universal metas for Gurren Lagann were missing, but I don't think this detracts of the quality of the video. @@TheMKninjayooo, hi it's me again. I thought your name rang a bell, but exactly 29 days ago we talked on the powerscaling subreddit. You asked for my stance on powerscaling Kittan. And I responded with the information I had then.
simon at the star is jsut a kid, simon at final is overpowered, he fought the enbodiment of stagnation and nihilism, he is close to god tier level, atleast his will is turlly crushing.
I should've mentioned this, but he's kind of beyond god level, since his growth is infinite. We can all aspire to be like him, fighting against the impulse and soceital pressures to stay the same or submit, and bloom into something great and powerful; our true selves.
Saitama gets one shot on multiple plaines of existence because he can’t exponentially grow to scale high enough literally ever. Even if he had infinite time for growth it would still be on a 3rd dimensional space while simon is in the 11th and grows faster in that 11th dimensional space, probably even being able to bypass it eventually as he’s shown growing out of different dimensional levels in the past if given enough time. It’s the same idea of saitama one shorting cosmic fear garou after going back in time, garou didn’t have enough time to copy saitama, but the concept is on crack when it comes to saitama vs simon. Sorry.
I like to believe Simon could defeat Gold Experience Requiem through raw spirit alone. How are you supposed to reduce his willpower to zero when it out-scales your own?
Taking into account a stand ia a manifestation of your fighting spirit and all spiral energy is is the indomitability of spirit, the second Simon sets foot in the JoJo universe he would most likely awaken the most busted and broken stand by sheer will alone, like Tusk 4 levels of insane
GER has only been shown to function in the 5th dimension if you’re generous on how King Crimson’s time erasure works. But GER wouldn’t be able to comprehend Simon’s attacks as they are in the 11th dimension.
That ending made me cry dude. This video made me so happy because I don’t see enough people talking about how ridiculous the power levels are in Gurren Lagann.
My biggest regret is that I should’ve scaled him higher. I did say he absorbed the labyrinth, but forgot to mention 11D. I’m happy with the video, but honestly, Simon basically scales infinitely.
Its technical ‘limit’ is just how much the universe can withstand before collapsing. So Spiral Power itself is unlimited, the universe isn’t. Technically Simon can grow infinitely, as can everyone in Team Dai-Gurren.
Simone and spiral power operate thusly: as long as simone keeps his cycle up of belief in the simone that believes in him, a positive feedback loop will be created where the net gain is more power and if that cycle remains unbroken and he keeps up his determination then his power will spiral into infinity. Ites truly mind bending how powerful simone can become. @harrythompson-heap9754
@@TheMKninja Yep. The universe where Simon DIDN'T stop is where the Spiral Nemesis was created (I think it's nemesis), which is actually their enemy when Simon is retired. That Spiral Nemesis is an entire Galaxy/Universe born of Spiral Power.
like by the shows own rules Spiral power just straight up ignores logical reasoning in favour of "winning anyway as long as we think we can". Just completely the "I reject your reality and substitute my own" mindset but done is such a great way that it's always amazing. Simon win's basically any *but can he beat...* argument because to put it simply "Simon's strength/power = yes". Spiral power allows him to be as strong as required as long as he believes it to be so...And like by the end of the show there's a less than 0% chance of breaking his spirit anymore. It's literally the rule of cool except in this setting not making sense even in context just makes it make even more sense.
By the end of the show, even attempting to break his spirit just reinforces it further since it shows that they think he can win too, so they try to get him to give in. Simon is a cliché Shonen protagonist in the best way.
About the only thing that can beat Simon is narrative tiering. A being that can step Above the medium the fight is occuring in. For example: Popeye in one cartoon stepped out of his animation cell to threaten the artist. This would allow him to go "Hey, write me as beating this Simon guy.", and thus he would.
Ye let's call it cool factor. Simon will basically just say "FCCKKK YOUIUUU!!!!" then proceeds to materialise a giga outerversal godly futa mech which then proceeds to shoot spiral sperm which destroys reality itself
That's why Super Robot shows are that GOOD SHIT! Sometimes you just wanna see a hero get so hyped up that they totally break all the laws of reality and beat the bad guy with their biggest, coolest attacks. Or even better, seeing them get out of the robot for the final battle and settle it with their fists.
Its been said by the studio that the spiral galaxies shown when they get into their final forms (movie) aren't, in fact, galaxies but universes. They didn't know how to display a universe so they look like spirals. Which makes his power even crazier tier wise.
I know. I've gotten better at power scaling, and I plan on redoing this kinda video for a 2k subscriber special. And recent scaling has SImon around hyperversal to outerversal. But yeah, the scaling is nuts.
Simon's power is that of the indominable human spirit. As long as he believes he can do it, he can do it. That is the message of the show and it is god damn beautiful.
Also, lets not forget simon is 1 warrior. Hes fighting an ENTIRE SPECIES OF ESSENTIALLY SIMONS. Bros built different. Simon also had infinite power since they first entered anti spiral space.

Imagine spiral beings used green lantern rings. That would be unfair, unlimited green lantern battery and overpowered will power, now imagne they also had Haki as well.
If you REALLY wanna get powerscale-y, him having infinite fully realized spiral power (im the movie where he did STTGL) means he can do literally anything. This plus having multiple immeasurable stats as a product of this means that he's quite possibly tier 0 (in powerscaling terms), and the only tier 0 being capable of killing other tier 0s by nature of his spiral power growing even further beyond infinite power literally every second of every day for him.
I always read the Anti-Spirals as an inevitable consequence of Energy in the Universe, Malevolence aside, they're a result of how energy grows. And Simon's overwhelming of them was a message about the Human Spirit's ability to constantly grow. Not reactionary, but proactive. It's still ridiculous, but I think the message of humans overcoming obstacles, regardless of size, is the intention. It's not necessarily something I agree with, but it's inspiring.
They're from the Parallel Works, which originally were separate content to explain lore or alternate universes, but those clips were added to the beginning of the first movie, as they show Lordgenome's origin.
I have never watched a whole episode but I have enough interest in the show that I hope that when death battle does Simon vsWhite Lantern they remember that in the final fight they were casually throwing around UNIVERSES NOT GALAXIES. If they say galaxies that is a MASSIVE Lowball

Great video and a good, accurate scale. I'd have them at the same scale. Pretty much all scales that I've seen that are higher than high 1-C are kind of unrealistic and easy to debunk.
DONT BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, BELIEVE IN THE ME THAT BELIEVES IN YOU! (oh btw the author didnt know how to draw universes so the galaxies are actually universes ;) )
Yup, I recalled this fact sometime after the video was uploaded, unfortunately. I made a pinned comment clarifying this. I would re-upload an edited version, but it’s very rare a small RUclipsr has a video grow as quickly as this one.
The Cruel Indifference of the Universe means nothing to the Indomitable Human Spirit. And this show proves that. If Simon can fight GOD, we can fight and overcome our hardships just like it's nothing.
I love this anime so goddamn much, and to me, this is just my opinion and I’m not saying to at it’s gonna be true with everyone, this show is on a scale of greatness that is comparable to dragon ball, and very other anime I’ve seen. It’s amazing and I’m dying to see more if this show in the future.
this is how I believe spiral power functions: spiral power itself is proportionate to opposing forces and obstacles, it scales up near equivalent energy and is dependent on the user to bridge the gap or surpass it but the growth is exponential. If a man fights a beast maybe he'll gain capability to defeat it with enough effort and intelligence but he couldn't fight anything stronger until he reaches that level. And in the world of Gurren lagann it seems to be best manifested and harnessed through some kind of vessel like a vehicle or mecha but at some point someone can become powerful enough to render those mute. Spiral Power is the ability to Overcome but not necessarily make up or manifest something like wishful thinking at least not until youre altering the laws of a universe itself. It's not a power that just grows with screaming or wishing or wanting something so much, not a power that is all powerful to begin with or strong, and it's not without cost, it can be just evolution which takes millions of years or something that in a moment needs to rise to usurp despair, pain and suffering. i'd also like to point out that in many instances spiral power was used not just as brute force but as a spear to hit vital points to forces that seemed all imposing and nigh unimpeachable. this is also why I think spiral power is better than abilities like the transformations in dragon ball where a character can just get stronger because they want or need to and try hard or long enough. in gurren lagann there is risk and there is immense loss, there are consequences, conditions and counters and even some strategy, not merely whos beam is stronger (yeah the giant drill off seems like that but we actually lost that fight until it was left to simon to try something different)
You should've been there to argue in that death battle episode of Goku vs Simon. The guy repping Gurren Lagann just spoke shit from his mouth and couldn't explain anything, he just said "he got that dog in him" like 20 times.
It was actually a db cast which is not the official episode. A db cast is basically an argument between 2 characters on who would win without any in-depth research. And besides, its confirmed that simon the digger vs kyle rayner is gonna be happening this year in an actual db episode and not a cast. Which means there is going to be more in-depth research for both characters.
@jocelyngilcatinoy4255 more people are familiar with death battle and not the cast ver as they are basically the same but cast is just worse cause no script lol
The light novels and other media really help support outerversal scaling, and I do want to take another stab at scaling Simon now that I've gotten a lot better at power scaling
@@TheMKninja I think you should and the only reason i mention this cause death battle is doing simon the digger against kyle rayner and their both powerful in their own way, i dont do power scaling that much but it seems fun, I hope you do post more videos about character like this or just power scaling videos cause they seem very good
Personally, i alawys thought in the final show down the anti spiral lost, because by always tryign to equal their enemies power. the greater the power the more of a difference can be made in the moment. however once it went down to fisticuffs, the physical power portrayed was small enough that jsut by simply improving throught he fight, or through willpower youd be at the top again. and with simons will power, there again. was noi limit
This is a great video but i don’t think the conclusion that lagan is equal to ttgl really makes sense. the final blow was delivered by him but it was more of a final resort, and i would say that both parties in the battle were tired out. I would understand he’s near in power but probably not equal
@@TheMKninjaI can tell lol Can't wait to see the new video about it since TTGL is both bat shit insane and underrated in these talks since few like to think a Mecha Show can reach such Cosmic Levels that Transcends the boundaries we thought were there.

Well, goku would kill this clown over and over again until he submits. He may be Immortal, but thay doesn't mean he can't feel pain lol😂 still, how long do u think this weakling can withstand being obliterates by a ki blast over and over an over and over and over again?
I always wondered how in the world simone would protect the universe from the spiral nemesis if he was just going to die in ~80 years. Being immortal probably helps
@@animecity9678 never man THE DUDE BECOMES A GOD BIGGER THEN A UNIVERSAL
Its funny to think Simon ate about 3 multiverses over the course of the series. He absorbed the energy from the dense space pool (made up from other fallen spiral warriors from different universes). The Multi dimensional time labrynth (pretty straight forward) and the Infinity big bang storm.
As someone who is currently making a google doc (20k words so far) outlining all different scaling chains, different continuity scales and such. Also including trasnslating the dictionary, work soul and final drill and more. I wanna give you praise to how well read this video is, on top of being a good video in general. I
I'm proud of how the community is still active and alive to this day.
Admittedly I did scale Simon a little too low because I missed a few details. I’d more put him in High Complex Multiversal or Hyperversal, with the potential to go higher considering Spiral Power’s infinite potential. But thank you for the praise!
@@TheMKninja Yeah, no problem I noticed the post universal metas for Gurren Lagann were missing, but I don't think this detracts of the quality of the video. And I also want to say that Simon has multiple other feats and statements (a vast majority of which are author ones) for hyperspace and even above, but it is impossible to outline that in a video(I've tried.)
@@baboin1851 I’m addressing part of it in a future video. I usually focus on exploring themes and ideas when it comes to anime, that’s what most other Gurren Lagann Month videos were about (even if previous years are outdated) so it’s new territory for me. I’m happy to see the community is still active and alive, and if I can help bring some of that together with a video, that’s a proud feeling. Next year’s videos are going to be even better.
@@TheMKninjayooo, hi it's me again. I thought your name rang a bell, but exactly 29 days ago we talked on the powerscaling subreddit. You asked for my stance on powerscaling Kittan. And I responded with the information I had then.
@@baboin1851 Yup, I remember that now.
simon at the star is jsut a kid, simon at final is overpowered, he fought the enbodiment of stagnation and nihilism, he is close to god tier level, atleast his will is turlly crushing.
I should've mentioned this, but he's kind of beyond god level, since his growth is infinite. We can all aspire to be like him, fighting against the impulse and soceital pressures to stay the same or submit, and bloom into something great and powerful; our true selves.
@TheMKninja if this weakling is God tier then goku is an all powerful omnipotent being that surpasses the gods. Prove me wrong😂

I would hazard a bet that the final form could take out base Saitama by simply doing too much damage before his exponential growth can catch up
Thats Saitamas trick, he is Simons Spiral Equal
The multiverse needed some sort of equilibrium
Saitama ain't doing sht against simon willpower
He can logaritmically get stronger ?
Sure ! , simon can get logaritmically stronger +1 !
@@elcalabozodelandroide2 nice Yu-Gi-Oh reference 😂
Sorry.
It wouldn't matter, Simon's growth is infinitely faster than saitama's
This is the video that convinced me to finally watch Gurren Lagann.
I like to believe Simon could defeat Gold Experience Requiem through raw spirit alone. How are you supposed to reduce his willpower to zero when it out-scales your own?
Spiral Power VS Revert to Zero gets you Infinity minus Infinity.
It doesn't even make sense.
@@calemr Gonna be honest, Simon would just Determinator his way through GER.
Goku would deystroy this clown.
Crazy this video hasn't hit algorithm yet. Deserves at least 1k views. Keep it up. You will grow. This so good content
That ending made me cry dude. This video made me so happy because I don’t see enough people talking about how ridiculous the power levels are in Gurren Lagann.
How strong is Simon? How strong can you imagine someone to be? He can imagine infinitely more than that, and then become that powerful.
According to promo stuff, the dimensional labyrinth was between the 11 and 12th dimension so you can get him higher if you want
My biggest regret is that I should’ve scaled him higher. I did say he absorbed the labyrinth, but forgot to mention 11D. I’m happy with the video, but honestly, Simon basically scales infinitely.
Fairly certain the limit of spiral power is an imaginary number.
Its technical ‘limit’ is just how much the universe can withstand before collapsing. So Spiral Power itself is unlimited, the universe isn’t. Technically Simon can grow infinitely, as can everyone in Team Dai-Gurren.
@@TheMKninja so it’s basically an n+1 scenario, where n is the opponents powers and Simon is always +1.
As long as Simon doesn’t lose faith (which all things considered, is basically impossible), then he’ll always outgrow his opponent.
Absolutely Amazing Video! Thank You!
YES YES FINALLY A VIDEO ON GURREN LAGANN POWERSCALING VIDEO THIS ANIME IS AN UNDERRATED GEM
I've done lots of other videos on the series if you're interested
like by the shows own rules Spiral power just straight up ignores logical reasoning in favour of "winning anyway as long as we think we can".
@@calemr Toon's are a whole different thing. "Toon Force" is a tier all it's own.
Its so funny how like kamina, simons inspiration is like mountain level and simon is like multiversal😭

Thanks but I disagree. I missed a few things. I intend on revisiting Simon's power in the future.

There is a movie?! Oh boy i know what ill be doing today
Yup, there are two actually! One for each arc. Second movie is better, adapts the arc smoother and gives us more badassery. I made a video on my thoughts, but I’d recommend watching them first. They released in Western theaters this year and were dubbed for the first time. Glorious seeing them on a big screen, if you can do it with a projector or something, do it.
Old Simon still has all this power too which is crazy.

He's one of the strongest characters in fiction just based on Simon boosting his team to Universal Level along with him in the movie version of the final battle!😱 Only fighters who can contend with Simon are Gag,Parody, and author wanked characters at their maximum interpretations based on their narratives along with their fanbases!😤
Simon is goated, but lets be real, there are plenty stronger than him, even without wank, gag or parody. just going by what you said, Simon is an author wanked character at his maximum interpretation based on the narrative lol.

It's something I've done to celebrate the anime. It premiered April 1st, and I was born April 30th. Since it's my favorite show, I've done videos every year for some time. It's similar to when PBG did Zelda Month.
Imagine spiral beings used green lantern rings. That would be unfair, unlimited green lantern battery and overpowered will power, now imagne they also had Haki as well.
I mean these mechas at the end of movie were made by sheer will power and they are part of they pilot

Actual core anime right there
I don’t think you can just say that Simon is just as strong as his team ups, there’s a reason why it’s preferred Simon has a partner when piloting Gurren Laggan and why he needed help taking out the final boss

I'd have them at the same scale.
Pretty much all scales that I've seen that are higher than high 1-C are kind of unrealistic and easy to debunk.

A casual by the end as old man

I've heard people talk about the light novel saying hes 20-d and i havent read it so idk about this
The light novels and other media really help support outerversal scaling, and I do want to take another stab at scaling Simon now that I've gotten a lot better at power scaling
@@TheMKninja I think you should and the only reason i mention this cause death battle is doing simon the digger against kyle rayner and their both powerful in their own way, i dont do power scaling that much but it seems fun, I hope you do post more videos about character like this or just power scaling videos cause they seem very good
I would say at most 11D - 12D scaling is pretty accurate so far the most.
