This sucks smh. MTA can’t spend $$ prioritzing passengers safety but instead they are investing money on cheap useless things like this, people will still find a way to get on the tracks . Look at the open spaces between the barriers! You cannot tell me someone won’t end up being another person on the tracks due to a 12/9 .
LMAOOOO the security cameras on the R46 train sets are twice as more cheap and useless compared to the platform edge safety barriers since they know that the R46 train fleet retirement may begin soon but can’t even get that logic through their minds when it comes to budgeting and decision-making
I saw those barriers at 191 Street on the 1 line when I passed that station
People fall in front of trains. The barriers will not prevent this.
Are they even still doing the platform doors?
I wonder if people distracted on phone getting off train will bump onto barrier.
west 8 street was supposed to have barriers but wow
Platform screen doors
