@robbiethepict2783 Jock Stein and Sir Matt be warming their hands welcoming him home to God's Heaven, hey with rest of jocks and Sir Matt ex players in heaven, might have a game or 2, so if hear some thunder that's Dennis smacking one in the back of the net, 🙏🙏
@lordred4116 Being a Manc and a Man U fan in the late 60's/early 70's I was also lucky enough to see him play, along with George Best, Bobby Charlton and John Fitzpatrick. My brother, being a Man C fan would take me to see Man U one week and Man C the next, though I never saw Denis playing for Man C.
One of those players everyone liked. Great player, great entertainer, a great loss. I do hope all grounds hold two minutes silence for this legend. RIP.
So desperately sad, as a schoolboy I went to see him play at the expense of my homework. He was my hero his passion was infectious I decided there and then i was half Scottish! So proud rest in peace dear Dennis
As a Liverpool Supporter I want to send Condolences to his family and to Unites and City Supporter. We have lost a true great and a great ambassador of the game. The Holy Trinity reunites. R.I.P
The King of the Stretford End and one of my childhood heroes. I am very sad about his passing, and initially came to know of him were his goals in the 1966-67 championship season. He was a magnificent footballer and I along with all of the Manchester United supporters was devastated that he was injured both during the Semi-final and final of the 1968 European Cup which the team won thanks mainly to the other two legends George Best and Bobby Charlton. Denis Law was a magnificent Player.
@jerrygregor I'm half Scottish myself both legends mate, Dennis was before my time so will hold my hands up , another one was Alan Hansen best defender in Europe but ignored by Scotland was a scandal I'm not a Liverpool fan by the way 👍
The King. The Lawman. The last of the Holy Trinity. Alongside Jimmy Greaves, Denis was the greatest striker in the history of the British game. He lit Old Trafford up and the Stretford End loved him like they have no other. RIP.
A true legend of Man Utd and Man City. Will never forget the back heel goal in 1974; his face said everything and, much respect to Francis Lee’s reaction too. The Stretford End has lost it’s King.
Bless him... Still the ONLY Scotsman to win a Ballon d'Or. I was there the day he scored that back-heel for City against Utd. Some say it was due to that as to how Utd got relegated, but of course that is just a myth, but it did devastate him so much, he never kicked another ball. That is a guy who kissed the Utd badge when he scored, because he loved the Club so much and not because he has just got a £10k scoring bonus. One of the true greats, who played for the love of the game, sadly missing in todays game. RIP Dennis. Heaven is getting itself quite the Football Team....
Remember him signing his autograph on my wife’s cheque book at Crewe Station. One of my idols growing up. RIP to the King and condolences to his Family.
Dennis Law King of the penalty box, ...what a player, what a man ,...legend at united, and one of the holy trinity ( Best,...Law.....Charlton).....best striker I ever saw .. his great skill, goalscoring , and spirit live on forever in the great memories , he left us united fans with , and he was a true legend of the game
New Year’s Day 1966. One of my first matches at Anfield and we were playing the great Man Utd team of Best, Charlton and Law. Denis Law scores and raises his arm in his trademark celebration. Wow, the drama and the noise as Liverpool attacked the Kop throughout the second half and scored the winner in the 88th minute to go top of the league. I’ve seen many amazing matches at Anfield since but that one certainly ranks as one of the best. Three things stick in my mind - Denis Law’s one arm salute, Gordon Milne’s winner and the incredible noise the Kop made following that winner!
Played before my time but as a lifelong United fan of 40+ years, this is sad news for the club, world football and most importantly his friends and family. Rest in peace.
I was also at the home international match, October 1966, Ninian Park, the same week as the Aberfan disaster. A 1 - 1 draw with Denis scoring the equaliser.
R.I.P Dennis Law. A great player and a wonderfully warm fun loving man especially on camera whilst facing the British public. Condolences to his family friends Manchester United and his beloved Scotland too, although I am certain Great Britain will be mourning for this Legend as well.
We have lost the last of the Trinity. Living legends have become football immortals. I hope he is kicking it about with the other two in heaven. BEST, LAW and CHARLTON. What a loss of all three.
He had a very low heart rate, which meant he could run and run without tiring. Plus a range of superb skills, obviously. Better than Haarland? Well he was a better all-round player and not greedy as a striker. More exciting to watch, too. Value today over £200M.
Denis Law never let Scotland down.
Proud Aberdonian.

RIP from a Liverpool fan. I was lucky enough to see him play, along with George best.
Exactly the same message from myself.
@lordred4116 Being a Manc and a Man U fan in the late 60's/early 70's I was also lucky enough to see him play, along with George Best, Bobby Charlton and John Fitzpatrick. Grew up watching this bloke. World class, always a grin on his face. Sympathies to his family.
He was well known to be sarcastic and moody! Don't fabricate the man! He wasn't a smiley happy person
RIP Denis. One of the very greatest and a sad day for football everywhere.
Leeds fan here. So sorry to here about Dennis. Saw him play many times. Another legend gone RIP Dennis. Best wishes to family freinds and fans.
Good friend of Billy Bremner.
Brilliant character. As a Spurs supporter I still appreciated skill combined with a lovely cheeky character. RIP mate. Time to rest.
Proper footballer not like today's premiership princesses, Rip Dennis
A sad day for us all, what a great man and football player, a great Scotsman.
Denis The Menace, One of Scotland's finest and Ballon d'Or winner 1964/5. Legend...R.I.P.
The memory and spirit of Denis Law shall live forever. A true legend.
R.I.P. The Lawman ,i am a Leicester fan ,i saw him play at Filbert Street ,a true great .He played with such flair ,he will be sadly missed .

So sad. What a legend 👏. Will be missed.
The only Scottish player to win the ballon d'or and the man who Dennis Bergkamp was named after .
Denis Law was also barefoot till the age of 12, till he got the hand me down boots from his brother.
Denis Betts the rugby league player is named after Denis as well
The King of the Stretford End 👑
A player who played the game.....grew up with his era......
:( My dad told me that he scored for City who sent United down to the 2nd Division. He didn't even celebrate.
WHAT A LEGEND!
He didn't we did......
That action of loyalty from him taught me how to live my life.
It was Kenny Burns scoring the winner against Norwich that relegated United. Even if United had won they would have still gone down.
He fell on his knees and cried after he scored that goal.
@@Dinyo55 That's correct
Greatest Scottish player of all time. Got him to sign his book at macro in Eccles. Top man. Brilliant man.
Better than Kenny?
@@richardevans7035 If Kenny had his charisma . . .

Saw him play for Scotland twice at Ninian Park against Wales 1964 and 1966.

Legend and for both Mcr clubs. Few players can cross the divide and retain the respect of all. Denis was one of the few......
Glad that I saw him play with Best and Charlton in the day, at Old Trafford. A sad loss.
