Hi @GrizzlyNbear, Stephy and Leigh, what an exceptional portrait you made of us, it literally made tears flowing from our eyes : so much adventure together yet and so much more to share, be it in competition (next one, The Rock Trophy in April in Romania) or travelling (next one, a belated honeymoon travel, following the course of the Danube, then Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, back to Turkey, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Croatia... back in Burgundy to our collection of Landys). Take care, we are proud to feature as a couple in the same video as you too ❤
Crazy. At the same time it would have been a traffic jam of canoe on the Dordogne and we were the only one on the Ariège. That’s why we really loved it there. Less crowds.
What a beautiful Land Rover...and the Pyrenees are exceptionally beautiful! I feel like we need to go there someday. Those Coopers are my favorite tire. We have gone through 3 sets so far. They've done beach sand, desert sand, mud, snow, gravel roads, and pavement all across the United States and Baja California. We haven't gotten less than 50,000 miles out of them even with towing our teardrop or our work trailer everywhere we go. I hope you like them, I know you'll like the Landy! Cheers mates!
What a 'Feel Good' video. Stunning scenery, quaint villages & of course the 90 series. Surely with the names of Grizzly n Bear, the new addition has to be called Cub.
Hearing ya. But as you know, here in Oz Koala's are called Bears when they're not, so why not Cub. It's a size thing, not age. Great content you pair, keep 'em coming!
France is so beautiful and your video was stunning! Makes us want to plan a visit to that area in our own Land Rover. Love the new red Defender 90 and seeing the lovely couple that offered it to you. Good luck with your ongoing adventures. 🇴🇲👍
Wow what a collection that is , thanks for sharing . I had a 2004 yellow TD5 D90 once, also wish I never sold it 😢 I wish I could find some white wolf rims here is SA as easy as you did 😮

Beautiful scenery, beautiful Landy!! Congratulations and wishing you many happy times and experiences in it. You should maybe ask your viewers for possible name suggestions, that is if the shorty does not have a name yet. 😍 Maybe “Frenchy” ? 😂
Congratulations on your 90. Noted the comment that LR owners usually have more one, between my son and I, have a total of seven. Particularly enjoyed your French scenery.

Brilliant vehicle and great tyre choice👍. If your wheel studs appear to be too short, torque them to 175 nm instead of the usual 130 nm. That was the British Army instruction at the time of change over from the old rims.
Great video. Get a sport intercooler and a stage 2 remap (if you haven't already). The TD5 is an amazing motor and I look forward to your adventures in this new Defender. Greetings from Knysna, South Africa.

Hi guys! Very nice ''new'' rig! I'm realous. As for the ST MAXX, I used those for the last 6 years. After doing the Mackenzie Trail and the Dempster Highway back to back with those tires, I'm happy to report that je n'ai eu aucun problème. No punctures, barely no chips on the treads. Good choice 👍

Cracking 90 👍👍🍺. As a note (you may be aware already) the spare tyre is on the factory size rim 5.50” x 16 “ +33, the other four vehicle mounted wheels are 130/wolf style 6.5” x 16” + 20.6. The spare will be a tubed rim, the others could be either tubed or tubeless (usually stamped in the outer face of the rim near the valve stem hole ). Edit: I wrote this before seeing the tyre bit. There is nothing wrong with putting tubes in tubeless tyres on tubed rims. Sometimes tyre shops don’t carry tubes to suit cars so tubeless rims are easier to deal with.
Tube in a tubeless tire is not a huge problem but some tires have molding edges inside that can rub holes in tubes quicker than it should. Michelins in 7.50R16 size, like the Latitude Cross they had originally, are marked as "Tubeless, can be used with tube" and are cleaned smooth inside to avoid this kind of issue if used with tube.
@@Fe_lixyes it’s definitely one of those things that could be discussed ad nauseam. I’ve run tubes in different conventional tubeless tyres and run tubeless on LR tubed rims. Never had a problem, but in my older age I now have genuine tubeless 130 rims for road and run tubes in old school off road tyres on tubed rims for play.

Another wheel comment I’ll make for the punters, if those new rims are not genuine LR, they probably won’t be as strong. They may have the same or similar load rating, but after doing some digging I found out the centres are made from 3-4mm steel unlike the genuine 130 rims that are 5-6mm steel. While I’m sure there may be more than one manufacturer, it’s also often that there isn’t many manufacturers. I’d been told they were made in Europe but again more digging found they are designed in Europe but manufactured in the East. The advantage is they are available in a wider option and a few offsets that generally people are looking for over the factory size.
You'll like the ST Maxx. I had a set last me over 60k miles on my F-150. I like the Discoverer AT3 XLT better for road manners and noise - had a set of those last me 60k miles on my 4Runner. They did quite well on dirt roads and snow. I liked them so much I put another set on my '94 F-250.
