It’s unfortunate that this Transformers film was done dirty when it came to poor promotion and didn’t perform as well as it should have. What’s good is that people are seeing how great Transformers One really is. I certainly enjoyed seeing it in theaters. Among the other films that came before, this one was the best I’ve seen so far; with its origin story plot, great voice cast, humor, action, music, and lack of human characters. It’s definitely one of my favorite films I’ve seen in 2024.
I feel as though even if it was marketed properly, it wouldn't have helped that much considering how much Michael Bay damaged the Transformers brand among casual audience.
The Autobot from Rise of the Beasts was Arcee, who also showed up in the stands during the race in this one, and in the barracks when Orion came back to recruit the miners. Scarlett’s character in this movie is Elita-1, a totally separate character
As a Transformers fan since G1 and the 90’s era, this movie makes me really happy to see Elita One get more focused and action. Scarlet Johansson fits perfectly for the character like she did with Black widow. I hope our favorite female Autobot lives longer in surviving the upcoming Autobot-Decepticon Civil War in future sequels. The only animated show where Elita one I know alive with Optimus Prime is in Earthspark. None of us want Orion/Optimus to suffered like he is in Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy Netflix series. This movie really brings so many highlights to Elita, and how it made her to a badass female Autobot long time fans have really wanted to see.
If Josh Cooleybus planning to do a trilogy, I would like a prequel that centers on Primus and the 13 Prines facing cosmetic threats such as Unicron and the Quintessons. Diving deeper into the ancient Transformers lore fans would appreciate. Maybe get to see how much a badass Megatronus Prime is.
If you guys loved Transformers One, you should react to Transformers Prime. It’s a big fan-favorite, it’s got 3 seasons and a movie that functions as the final send-off. It also features Airachnid as a reoccurring villain, she’s so cool and Transformers Prime was her first on-screen appearance. Optimus, Bumblebee, Arcee, Ratchet, Bulkhead, Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave are the most heavily featured characters and they’re so well written in that universe. Arcee and Airachnid’s rivalry is sick. Also Transformers One took a lot of inspo from Transformers Prime and paralleled a lot of scenes, so you could almost watch it as if it were a sequel since so much of it is similar.
In Transformers 2007, after Megatron death, Optimus really said "You left me no choice, brother". And then in The last knight, Megatron said "We were brothers, once" just to let Optimus kick hin away and said "once"
Brian Tyree Henry really out did himself with his incredible performance and his deep understanding of Megatron since always wanted to play the villains. Every villain is a hero of his and her own Story. D-16 is not only a product of Cybertron’s corrupted system and takes on Sentinel Prime’s oppression though violent means all the social injustices he had experiences forged his transcendence into Megatron and building up to a rivalry with Orion turned Optimus Prime (due to wanting the same goal of a unified Cybertron but have different viewpoints). But their friendship is doomed since they discovered that shocking realization their leader Sentinel Prime had sold out Cybertron to the Quintessons after betraying his fellow Prime brothers and sisters, and ruled his planet through oppression. D-16 has put too much faith in the system he has held on to until his worldview was shattered that boils up to anger and a personal vengeance after being suffered of the social injustices while Orion still kept his optimism by exposing the truth of Sentinel's corruption. Before entering the core of Cybertron, Orion is willfully sacrificed his life for the sake of his brother’s mortality but that effort is in vain. This what makes D-16 a much more of a compelling hero-turned-villain and tragic character in Transformers history. And the rift between two brothers. Both D-16 and Orion really wanted a unified Cybertron but each have different ways to bringing it into fruition.
There’s 3 Things I have to clarify, 1. I’m ok with the Quintessons not showing up, I’m aware how much of a Threat they are but the whole point of this Movie is how Optimus Prime and Megatron began the Formation of the Autobots and Decepticons, IF the Quintessons had appeared more often it would ruin the Film and we won’t get any Sentinel Screen Time, 2. Elita wasn’t the one that had the Idea of using Arachnid to Expose Sentinel, It was Orion who did a Quick Thinking when Arachnid said “I can see Everything” showing how Clever Pax is with his Sharp Edge and Mind, and 3. Bee was done good enough, I get that the Character didn’t evolve but Bee has done Well Enough, his presence is literally the Beginning to Pax and D16’s Journey to who they are destined to become as it was a Red Flag when they found out that there’s 50 Sub Levels instead of 40, his Creation Steve has the Map, and while I thought he was going to ruin the Movie with the Comic Relief I’m surprised there’s Layers of Humanity especially when Sentinel captures him and Dee and Dee stood up when Bee didn’t want him to stand up because he doesn’t want to see his Friends Hurt, like the Quintessons I’m pretty sure Bee will Develop especially when he losses his Voice in the War, anyway this Movie was amazing, not only is it one of the Best Movies of 2024, but it’s clearly the Best Transformers Movie of all Time, the Voice Casting was Great, the Story with the Evolution of Optimus Prime and Megatron is Interesting and Heartbreaking, Sentinel Prime is one of the Best Modern Villains in a Long Time that he’s definitely giving Homelander Vibes, and the Animation and Setup are Flawless, 10 out of 10, I’m hoping this gets a Trilogy because it deserves it and I would love to see more content from this and the Franchise.
The Iacon 5,000 race sequence is my absolute favorite part of this movie. It's like a Cybertronian version of Nascar with the obstacle courses of American Ninja Warrior!🏎🏍🏁 🥷 ⏱️ Fun fact: Transformers veteran and VA Steve Blum (the voice behind Starscream from Transformers: Prime) made cameo as the Iacon 5,000 Race Announcer.
My friend, that is where the difference between the "Producer" and "Executive Producer" is. Producers DO have a hand on things non-creatively. So he's more on the behind the scenes but he has minimal creative input (but he could've too, who knows?), while Executive Producers are the ones that have the least input. It could be purely monetary support or just a glorified credits, but yeah.
@@riventv4927 You know what movie Michael Bay had behind the scenes creative input? Rise of the Beasts. You know what else? That movie sucked. Unlike TFOne.

I don´t go to a Justice League movie for Alfred and Lois Lane, why would I go to a Transformers movie for Sam or Noah? Meanwhile, TFO looks like a love letter to all the things that made Transformers stand out from other sci-fy histories, even showing things I´ve never seen. I´ve read and watched a lot of Transformers media, and I´ve never seen partial transformations as part of combat. Orion Pax using his waist turn to rip in half an enemy, Elita-1 slamming a wheeling kick on her enemy, the tank turret re-attaching, Optimus dodging a point-blank shot to his face by transforming it in his chest.

This movie is awesome. My new favourite transformers movie so far. Origin story, before the Cybertronian war. A new universe. No humans. Love it. I understand both megatron reasons and optimus prime reasons.
i like how the longer into the movie you can start to see D-16's eyes slowly change colors, it started off as yellowish orange, then once he learned the truth it turned complete orange, then when sentinel berated and burned megatronus' symbol it turned red orange, then finally when dropping orion it turned complete red thus becoming megatron
My favorite inspiration quote from this movie: “What defines a Transformer is not the cog in his chest, but the spark that resides in their core. A spark that gives you the will to make your world better.” What Orion/Optimus did is use the words from Alpha Trion is to inspired the minors to be much more than what they were and forged their own paths by standing up to Sentinel's oppression. That's character growth from be a rebellious bot to an leader of what soon to be called Autobots.
It was basically the quote of Martin Luther King Jr. "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
TRANSFORMERS ONE is not from the Michael Bay universe, for many reasons, a true Transformers fan would notice, since fans analyze anything from the movies. Sentinel Prime in the Michael Bay movies, Sentinel really is a Prime, since he and Optimus are descendants of the Primes, and apart from that Sentinel dies at the hands of Optimus, while in Transformers One Sentinel dies at the hands of Megatron. Apart from the fact that Transformers One is a small one, it has too many references to previous installments or Universes for us Fans to notice and enjoy them.
I always enjoy watching you two react. This took me back to 80s when I was a kid. I love that we finally show Primus is Cybertron. It was the rage and the jealously when Orion was selected as Prime, because Orion / Optimus saw Primus's vision. That his transformers were not supposed to fight each other, but the greater threat of Quintisons and even larger which is Unicron which I know you all watched 84 animated. Primus is brother to Unicron...Primus is order/goodness - Unicron is chaos/evil. If you listen to Orions's speech about cogs and spark...that a transformer isn't defined by the cog, but the spark at his core...is very similar to MLK vision of not seeing color of skin but the quality of character. Transformers message is pretty deep for us as human beings. That we each have a spark to make our world better or worse. How we use our gifts matters. What I love is that you caught Optimus was holding back..true...which is why he is Optimus. Strong but gentle. Because it is scary how powerful he truly could be if he unleashed his full potential. What hit me hardest is while Primus was dormant..he felt his people's pain and was listening. AKA Optimus getting his name because Elita-1 said blind optimism. That once a Primus had a new Prime he was able to communicate with Optimus via the Matrix...and allowed energon to flow and give the cogs back to his people.
love they finally made a full movie The Golden age of cybertron and new origin story. is fusion of many version from tv series and comic. The director want the new origin for orion pax and D16 to be equal class but they will have difference path reason for them to split side.
Actually, that battle axe used by Optimus Prime at the end of the movie was not anything to do with Chris Hemsworth, or Thor. It was an iconic weapon of Optimus Prime from way back in the original cartoon. On one of the 1st or 2nd episodes of the pilot episodes to the series, I cannot remember which, Prime and Megatron had a fight on top of Hoover Dam. Prime used this iconic weapon, Megatron had a purple spiked ball on chain. But, in this movie, he did use it a bit like Thor though. and, I've been a fan of Chris a lot longer before he was Thor. He will forever be known to me as Kim Hyde from Home and Away.
44:10 - "Together as one". The whole 'one' thing isn't because of the movie title nor about this movie being the first in the series. Alpha Trion said something similar when he gives the crew cogs "They were one. You are one." 34:00 In the rise of the beast movie, Optimus Primal said to Prime "Till all are one." Basically means either until the end of the Great War, when all Transformers/cybertronians are no longer divided (no more autobots or decepticons), and also means until all are rejoined into the Allspark of Primus

Arcee is just an autobot but Elita is, like she said, a COMMANDER of the autobots. If you have trouble identifying them both, Arcee is hot pink with white, while Elita is more of a fuchsia pink without the white accents and she has a bigger helmet than Arcee. Of course their designs and colors vary across the franchise but that's their usual classic design. Oh and in case the hints weren't clear enough, Elita is supposed to be Optimus' love interest.
