Few weeeks ago I ended up heading to Dunsborough area by myself in hope of finding a Salmon School coming through the area as heard previous reports so decided to make the most of it. Found a fantastic camping spot not too far from many of locations I wanted to check out and also see if any schools plus what areas where like. Was on a section noted as on 3 Bears Track which is in Cape Naturalist area but extends a far away although I think it was a map error but I thought I'd see where track I was on went which wasn't far.
Went to Bunker Bay first due to closess but no joy being had by other anglers and I stayed until lunch just in case before deciding to try explore coastline south and if there was any access to beach itself on any nice beach along coast which wasn't successful. All Bornaup Bay tracks I took weren't hard, the ones that you could access where it was not possible to drive onto the beach. Eventually located track that takes you to Neretlis Beach, which is really nice and fun drive just slow and steady and at the end access to beach which is between Hamelin & Boranup. It enables you to drive south pretty much all the way to Hamelin Bay on beach and North to Boranup Beach until rocky outcrops stops getting the most northern point.
Unfortunately not very good for any Salmon anglers, after asking other people been fishing area along the stretch how it had been which wasn't a flat zero. Then back to my old camping spot which was great and tried bunker bay again next day until after lunch to nonavail. Still fun journey and great opportunity to explore and see where and were you can't go and where best location to get onto the beach with your 4x4. Hopefully find this helpful or entertaining. You can skip end portion which is mostly discussing & demonstrating my setup.

Really enjoyed this and appreciate the time and effort in filming and preparation. It was handy as I was chatting with Matt Durrell (u many know him?) all-day today and he was telling me the beauty of Busselton and surrounding areas and how beautiful Hamlin bay is. I'm a mad fisherman and plan to get to Aus next year for retirement. Keen to hook up on FB if ok and maybe chat a bit more. Nice one Adam. Ps I've subscribed to the channel 👍🎣

Thanks for the comment and subscribing. Yeah I love down south, thankfully Dunsborough isn't as far, but so much to see all along that coastline. We had trips to Yeagarup area, Cheynes, Bremer Bay and if weather improves check out Broke Inlet. Although all that's around the Augusta corner so bit of a drive but still do many to go to. It's a pity they block a lot of access directly onto the beach in a lot of locations until you get further along so took me while just to find that Neretlis Track but they're some really amazing places and beaches. Sure, touch base or check out the group as every Salmon season I head down south for them and welcome people to come along. Have good one, thanks again for the feedback and info. 💯🎣
