In this Video i have explained the complete step by step process of how to setup a CISS kit i.e Continuous Ink Supply System for Canon MG2470 Inkjet Printer bearing Cartridge PG-745 Black & CL-746 Color
Ciss Kit is usually used to convert an Inkjet Printer to Inktank Printer, but the process of installation of ciss kit is very hectic and should be done carefully or else it might damage the printer
The Same steps can be followed for other Canon inkjet Printers
For other Companies Inkjet or Deskjet Printer please check the color sequence of the cartridge and follow the above steps.
I bought the Ciss Kit from local shop, but one can buy the ciss kit online through various e-commerce sites, just check for good ratings & review of the kit before purchasing

Aaj maine ciss kit canon mg 2577s printer main installed kiya. Maine har ek step thik se follow kiya. Lekin print dene ke bad kit pipe cartiage ke path me jam ho rha hai jisase foregn object ki error aa rahi hai aur pipe remove ke bad thik se chal rha hai.aapke video main last me jo print diya hai wo ciss kit ki ink se coneectd rhne ke bad bhi aa rhi hai ye kaise man le. Aap pura sach logo ko nhi bata rahe ho. Cartiage freely move nhi hote hai jisase printer error diikhata hai . Agar aap sahi ho to printer door open rakhakar print hoti hai aisi video banaiye wrna logo ko bevkuf banana band kre. Ye technic kam nhi kar rahi

Nice tutorial. Your videos helped me make a decision of buying printer. I plan on buying a cheap inkjet and install ciss kit. Do you think it is worth buying brand new and installing ciss kit myself ???
Installation of ciss is always tricky and hectic, a ciss kit will only work if and if only it is installed successfully or else it may damage the printer and cartridge ..so please check if in near by any professional is there who can install the kit ( printer repair shop) , coz for me to be able to install the ciss initially it took me 6-7 attempts.
So if you are confident than you can install it by yourself

Sir i have one issue.
At 38:30
After closing the flap... The ink pipe gets stuck in cartridge path.
I have the same printer and same ciss kit. I also left the exact amount of ink pipe inside he flap as shown in video...
I followed your video thoroughly.
When i remove the ink pipe the printer prints nicely.. but when i place the pipe in cartridges the pipe wont allow its movement when the flap is closed.
In open flat the cartridges move properly.
Please follow the last few minutes of the video where I have cut a small piece of the door

Can you please tell me what is worth refilling or connecting ciss kit..any way you have to replace the cartridges at some point i think..any advantages or disadvantages in both procedures

It's always better to refill manually, if ciss is not installed properly than it may damage the printer .
After approx 500-1000 prints one needs to replace the cartridge

It is good to go for original ink canon gi 790 inks , but you can also go for any substitute ink (any one you wish, just check for good ratings and reviews )
Can Canon 790 ink is good for inkjet printer, because last time 790 ink not filled in cartridge (out flow just in 1 ml)

It all depends on you brother/sister , I have seen people who install ciss for the 1st time but they install it very perfectly and I have seen people who doesn't matter how many times try but never install ciss properly

Hi,.yes you can use , ciss will also work but first try manual refilling and when you are comfortable with the process than only install ciss

Good stuff but for heavy printer usage.. i refill my cartridge once in a while and it works for 6 months as I dont print that much.. for a person printing 60-80 sheets a month, refill is better.. for heavy users, this is best thing

The problem im facing is the ink pipes are getting in the way of cartridge path when the slot is closed...

Before printing open the stopper for few seconds and that too open it slightly , in that few seconds the sufficient amount of ink will flow and after that close the stopper ... You can print approx 30-40 prints in that ink..similarly open stopper next time for few seconds and close it

There will always be leakage and it may damage the printer

You need to reset the cartridge
Reset printer
Sometimes even after the cartridge has been refilled,the printer might display an “empty or low cartridge” message.This is because when any cartridge is inserted into the printer,it will retain the serial number of the cartridge in its memory.Since the printer is not aware of the cartridge being refilled,it will fail to detect new ink levels.The following methods can be performed to rectify this situation.
a. Power off the printer by holding the power button for 60 seconds straight.This will reset the memory of the cartridge in there and will consider it as a new one.
b. Note that the printer has a memory capacity of two cartridges.Print an aligning paper from the refilled cartridge.Now,replace this with another cartridge and repeat the same.For step three,replace the old cartridge with a third cartridge and run the aligning paper.Now the printer will assume this as anew cartridge as the memory capacity of the printer has been exceeded by inserting more than two cartridges.
c. The last step includes covering the contact points of the cartridge.
(i). Remove the cartridge and apply tape on the left contact points.Insert the cartridge and print an aligning page.Ignore error messages on the screen.
(ii). Remove the cartridge and apply tap on the top right contact points.Insert the cartridge and print an aligning page.Make sure to ignore error messages.
(iii). Remove and reinsert the cartridge without any tapes this time and the Printer will recognize the refilled cartridge to be a new one

Please use 2 stopper, one for black pipe and the other for 3 color pipes .
