    Desiro: makes this train
    Inspector: let’s see it go then
    *train leaves*
    Inspector: that’s a rather... unique sound
    Desiro: yes I personally call it the car alarm on wheels 😌

    To think that 350/2s are being replaced by aventra plastic just because porterbrook leasing is expensive 🙄🤦🏼‍♂️
    What has the rail industry become?

    • @ScotRail-hl6nc
      @ScotRail-hl6nc 4 года назад +5

      how can you call 730s bad when they’re not even constructed yet? the issue isnt the railway its the spotters who think the railway is made for them and that no new trains should be built...

    • @mattmainline7252
      @mattmainline7252 4 года назад +1

      ScotRail158725 firstly, we know what they will be like as the only difference between them and the other aventras is a cab gangway.
      Secondly, iam not a trainspotter and no i dont support modern trains being replaced by another modern train which is the exact same except its longer.
      Old worn out trains like the 315s and HSTs yes. They are old, retire and replace them. The new trains are actual improvements because they replace old vehicles
      But why waste taxpayers money replacing a train which is barely 10 years old?!
      Its nothing to do with trainspotters its to do with a rotten rail industry which thinks the only way to make franchising viable is to order new trains every couple years.
      Its not a healthy business model for train manufacturers

    • @westy6214
      @westy6214 3 года назад

      @@mattmainline7252 You forgot capacity has an extremely high demand and a 3 car 185/159 has nearly the same amount of capacity for a 4 car train which is rubbish. The aventra will bring 20% more capacity to services

    • @westy6214
      @westy6214 3 года назад

      Also it’s clear you are against the aventra rather than the latter by calling them “plastic”

    2000s desiros are much faster on AC

    • @bb-3653
      @bb-3653 3 года назад

      @Solomon Clarke their pretty fast though, well the 360s especially, I'd argue faster than AC 700..I still have to compare the two by riding them both though a few more times. The 700 on AC is still pretty impressive

    • @bb-3653
      @bb-3653 3 года назад

      @Solomon Clarke oh you mean 60 seconds to 60mph . Then I see, to be fair I've been looking at the power output stats for trains. Seems like the 700s have a power output over 4000hp (horse power ) but that's likely because it has 4 motor cars with 4 motors on each car I think. However the 707 seems to accelerate faster on DC than the 700 on DC as its power output is like 1600horsepower (200kw per motor 4 per motor car) class 465s is a similar power output to the 707s . But the 465s also have more power output on its motors somehow than a 360, perhaps it has less motors per car that why. Idk wiki might be wrong

    • @bb-3653
      @bb-3653 3 года назад

      @Solomon Clarke oh yeah the point I was trying to make is that the 360 has 2080hp and the 350s have 2010hp according to wiki. So I'm not sure if that plays a major difference in why one accelerated faster than the other . Only 70hp difference. So its confusing. According to angel trains it has 250kw of power per motor , and its 4 that they have on each car . And yet the met cams have 280kw on their motors. Perhaps it has more motors than a metro cammel? Or maybe its 2 I'm not sure how many motors it has tbh.
