Hi Jeff thanks for your great videos. I keep having this problem: The mizrab keeps sliding on the sides of my picking finger when i do diri diri exercices, wether fast or not. I have pressed the pick a lot so it fits me the tightest, but i keep having this problem...any recommendations? much love
Hi. This is a common problem, especially when starting out. There are a few things you can try. Besides squeezing the side of the mizrab to make it tighter, sometimes rotating it around 180 degrees helps. My main Mizrab has to be worn with one specific side over my fingernail for it to "work". Also, sometimes you just need different Mizrab! My teacher has hundreds and if I forget to bring mine during a lessons I have to dig around in his pile to find one that works for me. So, sometimes buying a handful of mizrabs to pick from can make a world of difference. Thanks for watching!
Hi Jeff can you suggest me an easy to follow tabla software for iPhone to practice Sitar? I noticed you are using one such program on your phone. Thanks

quick question; during the first 2 minutes of this video, are you striking the Jor string as well as the first string....?
Yes, the second string (tuned to Sa) should be struck/strummed when playing passages like this.
