Good stuff when Mel and Jay work together. Mel’s material is so comprehensive and complex that it needs Jays simple commentary (tafsir) to keep the listener on course. It is especially good to see a catholic mind cooperating with an evangelical mind to evaluate patristics material such as John of Damascus. And we know what St John Henry Newman says about that pathway…!
The Umayyads were originally Christians, the thought to be lost Nazarenes / Ebionites. They were tortured and persecuted by the church like crazy. But somehow, the truth always survives. Between the relative extremes of Islam as well as Catholicism, it is the Nazarene creed, theology, lifestyle & teachings that form the harmonious balance between them. The aphorisms those saints created, which can be found in some parts of the Quran when read in conjunction with guidance from The Syro-Aramaic reading of the Quran, are among the most beautiful, potent prayers I have encountered in my survey of world religions thus far. They are like verses from psalms & proverbs, when they are recited, one feels in one’s heart their origin in Divinity. This is brilliant work by both Mel & Jay. The truth is becoming clearer and clearer with each passing day, hallelujah

Jay please allow me to throw some light on a previous video from about one month ago referring to the 16th C Sufi's and the light of mohammed. To understand this you have to understand what the Christ is. There is a Gnostic Nag Hammadhi text called the Christos and Sophia which explains that the Christos is the ego/I am/ receptive intelligence of the Godhead. The energy creative energy radiating out from the godhead is the sacred feminine. A part of this, called Sophia, puts the whole of herself into the creation of the earth which sends her mad as earth creates uncontrollable life so the Christos leaves the godhead to unite with her and bring fertility and order to life on earth and therefore becomes the saviour (Greek; Jesus) Christos. It is this same Christos that entered the body of the man we call Jesus Christ when he was 30 yrs old. The same story can be found in India concerning Shiva, the I am of the Godhead, and the Shakti energy of which Parvati creates the earth needing Shiva to mate with her. The same story is found throughout the ancient world and is prevalent in Egypt in the coronation/resurrection of the king, his mating with the sacred feminine and giving birth to his own son the Horus, the spiritualised man (that is, himself resurrected). The Mohammed referred to in this story is the Christos itself. Thank you.

The article "a" implies a single false prophet. I wouldn't draw any solid conclusion on what he really meant from a translation. Perhaps he meant the appearance as a concluded event within that period. I.e. that the false prophet finished appearing sometime during that period.

I think that the jews turned the Messiah (or messiahs), into a very arbitrary term (eg, He didn't have to be God in the Flesh, walk on water, or raise the dead, or come 7*70 years after the command to rebuild the 2nd temple) Some rabbis would say that Messiah was the one "picked" by the rabbis. And I think that I remember looking up Manicheanism, that they thought that the "Son of God" was a spirit that could enter a man, then the man would become a "Messiah". Maybe this is another instance where the rabbis/pharisees grew more attached to their own political ambitions, and disengaged from the Bible, and started changing things according to the "power of their will"? So very interesting! Wonder if we will get into the Israeli Babylonian exile intrigue and wars with this? God bless you all! Didn’t John of Damascus call Muslims “Saracens” and Muhammad a “false prophet”? The earliest and significant critic of Islam, John of Damascus, also known as Saint John Damascene and in Latin as Johannes Damascenus, was born around 675 in Damascus and died on December 4, 749, near Jerusalem. His feast day is observed on December 4 in both the Eastern and Western traditions. He spent his early adult life a few decades after the prophet’s death, living during the rule of Abdul Malik bin Marwan and possibly witnessing the construction of the Dome of the Rock. In his seminal work, The Fountain of Wisdom, particularly in the second part titled Concerning Heresy (Perì eréseon), the final chapter (Chapter 101) addresses the “Heresy of the Ishmaelites.” He wrote explicitly about Muhammad and Islam as follows: “There is also the superstition of the Ishmaelites, which to this day prevails and keeps people in error, being a forerunner of the Antichrist. They are descended from Ishmael, born to Abraham by Hagar, hence they are called both Agarenes and Ishmaelites. They are also known as Saracens, derived from ‘Sarras kenoi,’ or ‘destitute of Sarah,’ echoing Hagar’s words to the angel: ‘Sarah has sent me away destitute.’ These people were once idolaters, worshiping the morning star and Aphrodite, whom they called Khabár, meaning ‘great,’ in their language. Until the time of Heraclius, they were staunch idolaters. From that time to the present, a false prophet named Mohammed has emerged among them. After encountering the Old and New Testaments and conversing with an Arian monk, he crafted his own heresy. Winning the people’s favor with a facade of piety, he claimed that a divine book was bestowed upon him from heaven, filled with absurd teachings that he then presented for veneration.” For more on John of Damascus’ views on Islam and Muhammad, see the following resources: * Orthodox Information Center: orthodoxinfo.com/general/stjohn_islam.aspx * Catholic Encyclopedia: www.newadvent.org/cathen/08459b.htm In The Fountain of Wisdom, John referred to Muslims as “Saracens,” “Ishmaelites,” and “Agarenes,” with the term “Saracens” possibly predating his writings, indicating a pejorative usage. He lived during Abdul Malik bin Marwan’s reign, likely observing the inscriptions of Muhammad’s name on the Dome of the Rock’s ambulatory. In the specific section “On Heresies” of The Fountain of Knowledge, he mentions Muhammad six times: 1. “From that time (the reign of Heraclius) to the present a false prophet named Mohammed has appeared in their midst.” 2. “As has been related, this Mohammed wrote many ridiculous books, each with its own title.” 3. “Mohammed had a friend named Zeid.” 4. “This man had a beautiful wife with whom Mohammed fell in love.” 5. “Once, when they were sitting together, Mohammed said, ‘Oh, by the way…’” 6. “Mohammed claims that the Christ asked God for a table, and it was given to Him.” These references underline the context in which St. John discusses Muhammad, portraying his views on the Islamic prophet in a critical narrative. It is really funny to see Mel and Jay Smith, two Christian polemicist RUclipsr deceiving millions of Christians into believing in his theory that Mohammad is not a person and title of Jesus …..hahaha. They use this passage: 1. “From that time (the reign of Heraclius) to the present, a false prophet named Mohammed has appeared in their midst.” They claim it refers to many Mohammeds due to the phrase “from that time to the present,” which spans over a hundred years. The counter-argument is: 1. The reference to “a false prophet named Mohammed” during the reign of Heraclius addresses a solitary figure-Mohammed, identified as a false prophet. This statement explicitly connects to a single individual whose emergence was noted during this specific historical period, emphasizing a focused critique on this singular entity and fitting the description of one Mohammed and no one else. 2. St. John of Damascus critiques what he considers the writings of Mohammed, disparagingly referring to them as “many ridiculous books.” These writings, presumably referring to chapters of the Quran and related texts, are noted to have their own titles: • The Book On Woman corresponds to Surah An-Nisa (The Women) - Surah 4. • The Book of The Camel of God, a title that does not directly correspond to any specific surah in the Quran. • The Book of The Table corresponds to Surah Al-Ma’idah (The Table Spread) - Surah 5. • The Book of The Heifer corresponds to Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) - Surah 2. Although St. John of Damascus mentions only four titles, this does not imply that the Quran contains only these four books-one of which he mentions is not part of the Quran. This suggests that he was not fully aware of the exact number of sections or the names of each section in the Quran but still refers to them collectively as “many ridiculous books.” This critique is rooted in St. John’s Christian viewpoint, from which he challenges the legitimacy and content of Islamic scripture, fitting the description of some chapters in the Quran that were revealed to one Mohammed and no one else. 3. The mention of Mohammed’s relationship with Zeid and his wife Zainab aligns with specific Islamic historical narratives. Zaid ibn Harithah was known as Mohammed’s adopted son, and Zainab bint Jahsh was initially Zaid’s wife. The controversy arises from Mohammed’s marriage to Zainab after her divorce from Zaid, a sequence of events documented within Islamic traditions. St. John uses these incidents to critique Mohammed’s actions, which he views through the lens of Christian moral and ethical standards of his time. Again, this statement explicitly connects to a single individual, Mohammed, who has a connection to Zaid and Zainab, fitting the description to one Mohammed and no one else. 4. St. John also comments on Islamic teachings about Jesus, referencing a narrative where Christ requests a table from God-a miracle recounted in the Quran. This story from Surah Al-Ma’idah (The Table Spread) is used to illustrate the differing portrayals and roles of Jesus within Islamic texts compared to Christian doctrine. This statement explicitly connects to a single individual, Mohammed, thus fitting the description to one Mohammed and no one else
They are both clowns and no one in the academic field takes them seriously ignore them. What i do wander about is this: If John his father served the Ummayad dynasty of Muawiya I, then why his own son gives such a superficial picture of Muhammad and Islam. Islam in the period of his father (Sarjun) was much closer to Judaism (Messianic Jews primarily) and Quran was not yet the Holy Book of the Ummayads. Did his father didnt speak to him anymore since then because Sarjun must have first class knowledge about early Islam and historical Muhammad?? Patricia Crone said; We will never know how Ummayads remembered there Prophet but... imo we could've known IF Sarjun told John of Damascus but instead John of Damascus is talking like David Wood today.

"Dear Broder: Today is Eid al-Fitr. We end our feast and tomorrow we go on diet to lose weight. Consumption of lots of food leads to farting. I always wonder what is the ruling of farting in a mosque. Is it prohibited or permissible?" - Bob Muh Answer: Waalaikumussalam wrm. wbt., Alhamdulillah, praise and thanks to Allah for the countless blessings He has blessed us all with. Blessings and salutations to the Prophet Muhammad URNBUH, his wives, his family, companions and all those that follow his teachings to the day of judgement. Mosque is a place of gathering for the Muslim ummah. Thus, it would surely involve the rights and manners between Muslims. Hence, there are numerous Quranic and prophetic evidences that explain the restrictions on actions that could disturb or cause discomfort for others. Among them is a hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik RA, he said the Prophet URNBUH said: الْبُصَاقُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَطِيئَةٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا “Spitting in the Masjid is a sin, and its expiation is to bury it.” Sunan al-Nasa’ie (723) Thus, we could see that the act of spitting in the mosque is considered as wrong according to the Prophet URNBUH. It is restricted for it would lead to ill feelings (discomfort/disgusted) for others who went to the mosque as well as dirtying the mosque. The same is stated in a hadith narrated by Jabir bin Abdillah RA, where he said the Prophet URNBUH said: فَإِنَّ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ تَتَأَذَّى مِمَّا يَتَأَذَّى مِنْهُ بَنُو آدَمَ “The angels are also offended by the things that offend the children of Adam." Sahih Muslim (564) The above hadith contextually refers to the foul smell from people who ate garlic or onion. It is included as actions that are restricted by the Prophet URNBUH. We have discussed this matter in AL-KAFI #1653 THE RULING OF ATTENDING THE CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER AT THE MOSQUE AFTER SMOKING OR EATING FOOD THAT STINK. Whereas, Imam al-Nawawi in his commentary on the above hadith states: لَا يَحْرُمُ إخْرَاجُ الرِّيحِ مِنْ الدُّبُرِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَكِنَّ الْأَوْلَى اجْتِنَابُهُ “It is not haram to fart in mosques however it is best to avoid from doing so.” Refer Al-Majmu’ Syarah Al-Muhazzab, Al-Nawawi (2/175). Conclusion To conclude, we would like to state that it is makruh (undesirable) to fart in a mosque when there are a lot of other people around him for the foul smell will disturb others. However, if it is in an area where there is no one around, then this is fine for it does not disturb others. Lastly, we pray to Allah SWT to be given the correct understanding in practising the religion. Amin.
I wonder what planet you live on 🤔 This is the month of diabetes, heart attacks, and other diseases. Reciting a shaytan book has no benefit. The marathon prayer known as taraweeh is a bid'a (invention) that the illiterate man didn't request. Feasting is not fasting. No need of a demon named jibril to squeeze the illiterate man like a ketchup bottle to teach him how to read and no need for that illiterate man to tell us about previous scripture when he himself was learning from the Jews and heretic christians like the cousin of his wife or Ka'ab al-ahbar the rabbi. No need to kiss a black stone to forgive your sins
@@IslamicOrigins Are you watching the same video, this video was not discussing Mecca. You were talking about John of D writing about one Mohammed but meaning multiple Mohammeds instead. Points established: Mohammed is a title, not just a name. John of Damascus wrote about a person/s called Mohamed. There are second-hand (as opposed to first-hand) accounts of Mohammad/s existing, the Chinese sources being geographically removed and lacking any form of verification as to the subject/s in question (Chinese whispers!) My conclusion: There is nothing in the aforementioned that is sufficient to put a dent in the S.I.N.. I think you don't appreciate the value of the Chinese sources. Calling them Chinese whispers is ridiculous. The reports are from officials (envoys) of the Tayyaye to the Tang Court, which were dutifully recorded in the State records. As such they are far better evidence than most accounts provide. Last point about "please do better" is rather insulting. I don't have control over the quality or quantity of evidence that exists. Bear that in mind. That you believe in the SIN - which is worthless propaganda - rather than painstaking investigation into primary sources tells me a lot about your lack of sense.

Thank you.

In his seminal work, The Fountain of Wisdom, particularly in the second part titled Concerning Heresy (Perì eréseon), the final chapter (Chapter 101) addresses the “Heresy of the Ishmaelites.” He wrote explicitly about Muhammad and Islam as follows:
“There is also the superstition of the Ishmaelites, which to this day prevails and keeps people in error, being a forerunner of the Antichrist. Winning the people’s favor with a facade of piety, he claimed that a divine book was bestowed upon him from heaven, filled with absurd teachings that he then presented for veneration.”
For more on John of Damascus’ views on Islam and Muhammad, see the following resources:
* Orthodox Information Center: orthodoxinfo.com/general/stjohn_islam.aspx
* Catholic Encyclopedia: www.newadvent.org/cathen/08459b.htm
In The Fountain of Wisdom, John referred to Muslims as “Saracens,” “Ishmaelites,” and “Agarenes,” with the term “Saracens” possibly predating his writings, indicating a pejorative usage. He lived during Abdul Malik bin Marwan’s reign, likely observing the inscriptions of Muhammad’s name on the Dome of the Rock’s ambulatory.
In the specific section “On Heresies” of The Fountain of Knowledge, he mentions Muhammad six times:
1. “From that time (the reign of Heraclius) to the present a false prophet named Mohammed has appeared in their midst.”
2. “As has been related, this Mohammed wrote many ridiculous books, each with its own title.”
3. “Mohammed had a friend named Zeid.”
4. “This man had a beautiful wife with whom Mohammed fell in love.”
5. “Once, when they were sitting together, Mohammed said, ‘Oh, by the way…’”
6. “Mohammed claims that the Christ asked God for a table, and it was given to Him.”
These references underline the context in which St.
They use this passage:
1. “From that time (the reign of Heraclius) to the present, a false prophet named Mohammed has appeared in their midst.”
They claim it refers to many Mohammeds due to the phrase “from that time to the present,” which spans over a hundred years.
The counter-argument is:
2. St. John of Damascus critiques what he considers the writings of Mohammed, disparagingly referring to them as “many ridiculous books.” These writings, presumably referring to chapters of the Quran and related texts, are noted to have their own titles:
• The Book On Woman corresponds to Surah An-Nisa (The Women) - Surah 4.
This suggests that he was not fully aware of the exact number of sections or the names of each section in the Quran but still refers to them collectively as “many ridiculous books.”
This critique is rooted in St.
So here we are again with Mel, whose genius is recognized solely by Jay Smith, the fool. Jay Smith alone considers him a genius for his claim that the name Marwan originates from Moriah, a mountain in Jerusalem . Hahaha

It is really funny to see Mel and Jay Smith, two Christian polemicist RUclipsr deceiving millions of Christians into believing in his theory that Mohammad is not a person and title of Jesus …..hahaha.
They use this passage:
1. “From that time (the reign of Heraclius) to the present, a false prophet named Mohammed has appeared in their midst.”
They claim it refers to many Mohammeds due to the phrase “from that time to the present,” which spans over a hundred years.
The counter-argument is:
This suggests that he was not fully aware of the exact number of sections or the names of each section in the Quran but still refers to them collectively as “many ridiculous books.”
This critique is rooted in St.

Today is Eid al-Fitr. We end our feast and tomorrow we go on diet to lose weight. Consumption of lots of food leads to farting. I always wonder what is the ruling of farting in a mosque. Is it prohibited or permissible?"

Answer:
Waalaikumussalam wrm. wbt.,
Alhamdulillah, praise and thanks to Allah for the countless blessings He has blessed us all with.
Among them is a hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik RA, he said the Prophet URNBUH said:
الْبُصَاقُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَطِيئَةٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا
“Spitting in the Masjid is a sin, and its expiation is to bury it.”
Sunan al-Nasa’ie (723)
Thus, we could see that the act of spitting in the mosque is considered as wrong according to the Prophet URNBUH. It is restricted for it would lead to ill feelings (discomfort/disgusted) for others who went to the mosque as well as dirtying the mosque.
The same is stated in a hadith narrated by Jabir bin Abdillah RA, where he said the Prophet URNBUH said:
فَإِنَّ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ تَتَأَذَّى مِمَّا يَتَأَذَّى مِنْهُ بَنُو آدَمَ
“The angels are also offended by the things that offend the children of Adam."
Sahih Muslim (564)
The above hadith contextually refers to the foul smell from people who ate garlic or onion.
Whereas, Imam al-Nawawi in his commentary on the above hadith states:
لَا يَحْرُمُ إخْرَاجُ الرِّيحِ مِنْ الدُّبُرِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَكِنَّ الْأَوْلَى اجْتِنَابُهُ
“It is not haram to fart in mosques however it is best to avoid from doing so.” Refer Al-Majmu’ Syarah Al-Muhazzab, Al-Nawawi (2/175).
Conclusion
To conclude, we would like to state that it is makruh (undesirable) to fart in a mosque when there are a lot of other people around him for the foul smell will disturb others. However, if it is in an area where there is no one around, then this is fine for it does not disturb others.
Lastly, we pray to Allah SWT to be given the correct understanding in practising the religion. Amin.
I wonder what planet you live on 🤔
This is the month of diabetes, heart attacks, and other diseases.
A bit far fetched.
A complete, fully informed culture in Mecca doesn't seem far fetched to you? :)
@@IslamicOrigins Are you watching the same video, this video was not discussing Mecca. You were talking about John of D writing about one Mohammed but meaning multiple Mohammeds instead. I find it far-fetched that John of D would do that. There may have been multiple authors of the Quran, but it would be nice to find a source for this, not hyperbolae.
Points established:
Mohammed is a title, not just a name.
John of Damascus wrote about a person/s called Mohamed.
There are second-hand (as opposed to first-hand) accounts of Mohammad/s existing, the Chinese sources being geographically removed and lacking any form of verification as to the subject/s in question (Chinese whispers!)
My conclusion:
There is nothing in the aforementioned that is sufficient to put a dent in the S.I.N.. Basing One's speculation on the above could be seen as desperation in the context of having nothing more substantial to say. Brothers, please do better.
The Chinese had actual and frequent interactions with Damascus.

Jay Smith believes in three gods.
😅😅 Trinity is not believe in 3 Gods(tritheist) , bygone ignorance.
1924 quran 😂
You believe in a book that ended and a guy who was a false prophet. Which one do you think is more wrong? Mohammad believed in 5 gods. Allah, formerly know as Huba'al, Sin, and Dionysus. Also, al-Manat, Al- Uzza and Alilat. Now, when you said shahada, do you not say la ilah? Did you know the Talmud says La Ilah was the devil demon goddess Lailah?
La Ilah is a demon according to the Talmud. Funny.
So, if you say that Al-Manat. Al- Uzza and Alilat are not goddesses, then you are not submitted to mohammad.
So, Alonzo Harris believes in 5 gods, all of which are demons. Good job, Alonzo. Good job.
