@Obito xshinobi Looking back can be good during bad times. Remembering the good ole days can give one some solace that the hard times will pass, but otherwise you are right. We tend to try and rethink what we could have done differently to have a better outcome in the present.

*_King Ragnar.. When you think about it, the only reason Ragnar is dead is because he chose death. He never died in battle. He was never killed from a wound. He delivered himself to Ælle knowing he would be killed, and to bring ivar to great things. He knew his death would spark something in his sons, and he knew in order for his kingdom to go further, he had to hand it over to the mercy of his sons. To let his sons decides what they’ll do, good or bad. He chose to go to Valhalla. If that doesn’t make him even more powerful than the eye meets, then I don’t know what will convince you. But he was a man, a broken man. But a wise man who knew where he could, should and would go. He chose every piece of his fate. The Gods blessed and cursed him with who he is and was.. Respect from Norway 🇳🇴_*

The show before season 5 did an amazing job of humanizing a myth and a legend. Bottomline, this man and his supposed family changed the course of western civilization. The fact that his and his familys stories were told for centuries after they happened, not to mention before it was ever written down is a testament to how much of an impact they had. What the history channel did best was show how they were deified, envied and followed while still maintaining them as just people who pushed the boundaries of possibility in their worlds. Imagine a time, where you, and i mean YOU just discovered a new land and world which perceives you as a wrath of their god but, you are a farmer whose people need a better home. Amazing.
