Ben WORSLEY (rhythm) used a number of guitars live including a Strat and a Green PRS SSH semi Hollow.D.G's Goldtop was used for "A single Spark." ( I went to 2 gigs on latest tour)
Huge discover Mr Worsley. He’s doing an amazing work
Great Guitarist
He needs a Line 6 Spyder.
His Hendrix strap recently snapped when he was on stage. Hopefully someone will be able to mend such a wonderful piece of rock history.
That's sad!
@@TheGuitarShow Aye, it isn't half. There's a video of it on RUclips.
It was mended for the next gig..
@@Jonobrook123 Brilliant news
Imagine how much it would go at auction for 😂
Great video Goose, cheers!
Thanks bro
Awesome video Ramon have a great day ❤😊
I note some things never change. The Hiwatt 50's seem to have replaced Marshall 100's in the late 70's and the Starfinders have been there forever, though he used to have 3 of the amps (one spare) back in the day.
Gilmour has been using Hiwatts since 1969 or 1970. I’ve never heard of him ever using Marshall 100s.
When asked why he doesn’t use pedals on stage Keef Richard’s replied ‘I need both my feet just to stand up man….😂
@@billygoatgruff2554 haha
😅😂
Pretty cool to see what Gilmour uses now. The amount of wattage famous guitar players use on stage just for their own monitoring sound always surprises me :).
He is pretty much just a clean sound with a mild effect on if he's got any on hes also got a digitech wammy from the 90s everything anyone can buy from a shop no problem he might have the echotech still not sure which nust be hard to get its from syds era
I think you need to watch the video, Regan. It's more than just that.
I agree with you in that a huge and spacey clean sound from the Hiwats has been always the basis
great video, I have watched quite a few clips and recording of the 2024 shows.
my opinion thus far is that This tour his tone is much more brittle , even thinner, sounds like David of course but its slightly different, and not in a pleasing way to my ears and countless years of seeing him live and recordings.
only my opinion of course but if I was giving it a score it would be a 6
He used the 335 live for Dark and Velvet Night. The red Strat (apparently a backup from the later years Floyd) was used for Marooned.
The 2nd black strat appears to have been tuned down (certainly on later dates) a semitone and used for Coming Back to Life and A Great Day For Freedom.
I don't think I've seen the Les Paul in action so far, but that could just be the footage I've seen, and the workmate Tel/Esquire has been used for Fat Old Sun.
Edit - Gretsch Duo Jet on Luck and Strange.
Thanks for this - apparently my friend who saw him the other week said he pulled the goldtop out.
@@TheGuitarShow nice. Any idea what song(s)? I know he's been using a strat for 5am, but that would be a candidate since he used an LP on the album.
The Les Paul is being used on The Piper's Call.

@@StephenGallacher The Piper's Call, he's using 1956 goldtop LP. At least that's what i saw in Rome gigs.
The big muff on the top is an original sovtek civil war from the early 90s. It isn’t modded. That one was used for the pulse shows in 1994. His rams head is also in this rig. The only mod to that is a Cornish buffer. He only used the P1 for a short time in the late 70s. He would often keep it as a backup.
If he wanted a back up of his rams head why he didnt buy another rams head instead of a P1 🤔
@ no idea. Just going by pics of his boards over the years and sites like gilmourish that have extensively broken his rigs down. He’s never really used the cornish pedals as his main pedals. He’s not using any of them currently. He’s also used an early 70s triangle muff recently. His main dirt pedals since the early 90s have basically been tube drivers and muffs.
@chrishealton3830 well, in 1990 his main distortion pedal was the P2, in 1994 sometimes he used the P2 instead of big muff, and in 2006 he had the P1 as distortion with a G2 too. But yeah in rattle that lock tour he used Just "normal" muffs, and now too
Nope- he used a P1 on 2006 tour.
I can’t tell from listening to the bootleg videos or the official rehearsal video whether he’s using the Big Muff or the high gain Tube Driver for solos, like on “Time” and “Comfortably Numb”, though I heard from someone who was at the one of the concerts that he was using one of the Big Muffs. I don’t hear the Electric Mistress but he’s always seemed to have it in the rig. This tour, like the last one, sounds to my untrained ear like a lot of Tube Driver tones with compression through the HiWatt (though I do hear the Yamaha rotating speakers).
I think he has plenty of pedals, amps etc for one guy. Is he in a race with Joe Perry?- Thank you- Great video
pleasure Shawn
Newb here lol. I use bias fx all be it new too the electric. Why would you use 3 of the same tube drivers?
You don't want to be fiddling with knobs in the middle of a song.. so you set them for the 3 sounds you want and just hit the button.
@@PaulaXism course, makes sence. I thought all gilmours tones would be on a massive helix type device that he uses but obviously there’s much more behind the scene at he’s feet
I assume the rigs are duplicated for quick redundancy (?)
None of these images are from his actual tour?
