    Perry, keep up the good work. Love watching your videos. Where did you get that cool RED "pop" custom eq????????

      Thank you , I appreciate it! The pop eq was made by a guy who used to frequent Beatgear Cavern. He stopped making units when Chandler limited made him stop.

    Fantastic playing Perry! Absolutely recreated the sounds on not only just the percussion but also the other instruments. Was really cool learning about the different percussion that was used by the Beatles.

      @@perrystanleyNumber9 I just watched that one. That thing really is a holy grail amp at least for me. Huge congrats on obtaining that. And thanks for posting, that is a sound from a specific time frame that the Beatles got that I had sorta given up on ever finding of even understanding how they did it. Now that I know there is a very limited number of those in existence in the world I know that at least it's possible. Again thanks.

      The snare is like Ringo's 5.5x14 , preserial number, but it differs in that the damper is round not the baseball bat. It also doesn't have the badge , damper , and throw off in a row like Ringo's. But I also have the Ringo spec snare (not signed) that came out to the general public and that's great too! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment!

    Brilliant Perry!!...I'm interested in the what effects you used on both the Hofner and Rickenbacker bass? Cheers Mark

    • @perrystanleyNumber9
      @perrystanleyNumber9  Год назад +1

      Thanks! First off , a lot of the tone I believe comes from the amp choice. The Hofner went through the 64 Bassman, and the Rick went through the Ul730. After that on each channel I had the waves Redd51 channel , and the rs124 compressor. That plug-in on bass really shaped the tone even more, especially on the Rick bass. After that both also had the J37 plug set at the Abbey road default. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

  • @thanks5009

    Did you bought the 63 Hofner? I thought it was borrowed for the modern vs vintage video, great video Perry I’m always wating for them

    • @perrystanleyNumber9

      No I haven't ever borrowed instruments. If you see it , it's mine.I love to record my own music with many of these instruments. It's a lifetime of chasing, but really worth it to me when I get to play them and record with them.Thanks so much for watching!

    Wow! ❤️
    I’m also on a life long quest for Beatles percussion, especially tambourines. There’s so little information out there. I have bought a dozen Ludwig’s through the years, a few New Era and many unbranded vintage tambourines but still looking for the right ones. I had my eyes on the brass one but I couldn’t find anything about it. Where did you get yours? I’m shaking with excitement from your video. Thank you so much!!❤ do you have any information on the “scrappy” sounding Walrus-tambourines?? And what maracas did they use?? 🤔

    • @perrystanleyNumber9
      @perrystanleyNumber9  Год назад +1

      Hi , thanks for your comment! I got mine on reverb. Com. Not sure which was used on Walrus, but I haven’t attempted to get that sound… something I may do in the future. I actually want to find out more about the Olympic stamped one. Olympic might refer to a brand , or maybe a store stamp . Like you said there isn’t much information out there.

    • @IKAiRUTAN
      @IKAiRUTAN Год назад +1

      Ok I have too keep my eyes open on reverb. 😊 yeah, I would love to see a walrus tambourines video! 🎉 you can hear that tambourine on numerous songs from early to late Beatles. I try to emulate that with a few old rusty tambourines but it’s not the same thing.
      My research has shown that Olympic was a brand manufactured by Premier. And they also did the New Era tambourines. But I haven’t found any Olympics sadly.

    • @IKAiRUTAN
      @IKAiRUTAN Год назад

      I’m wondering if the one you describe as “a headless double row tambourine that appears to be missing several zills” are the walrus one. It was a few years ago I researched this so my memory might fail me. 😊

  • @nathan43082
    @nathan43082 9 месяцев назад

    There's a metal on metal sound that is in some Beatles songs and I would love to know what it is. It's almost like someone is rubbing a metal blade over another metal blade. I am thinking it must be the metal-based tambourine you show here. Didn't know that was a thing. You can hear it clearly in the isolated drum track for "I Am the Walrus" here: ruclips.net/video/sKJkS3fHrE4/видео.htmlsi=GE9wGZE8Iy6D16dB. Any idea what is actually is? Thanks!

    • @perrystanleyNumber9
      @perrystanleyNumber9  9 месяцев назад +1

      If you listen the the Anthony 2 version its the tambourine. Sometimes the. " isolated tracks" programs take out frequencies it shouldn't in order to better isolate. I do think it is the metal tambourine.
