The series was great fun, but this song stands alone as one of the finest pop records of the 80s. Polished, catchy, professional, beefy harmonies, cheeky guitar fills and vocal up and downs. The sort of thing Belinda Carlisle would have as a mainstay. Love it. Very underrated.

Not sure this works as a standalone pop song. The lyrics are too simplistic - it was made for a kid's cartoon. But that's its magic. It lives in that grey zone between old and young, just like the cartoon itself.

Kids these days have no idea what they missed out on. Most cartoons from this era had amazing ballads. The world we live in today is a world of plenty. Yet it's just plenty of nothingness. If life had a rewind switch eh?

Just when I thought A hobo with a shotgun couldn't get any better, this ended as a theme tune. I've been listening to the full-lenth version since college (2000-2003) and I'm one hell of a fan.
If you listen to the lyrics though, it would be the perfect song for a vampire movie, especially a transitional one (y'know, Lost boys, Near dark etc).
