Great vid! Yeah the headphone jack version of this adapter is the way to go and it's safe to use with headphones because it utilises the audio ground. 3.5mm mods will damage headphones but if you add a pair of 100uf capacitors to the L and R channels between the motherboard and the jack the problem is solved.
I really wish I had seen this specific USB-C mod first when I decided I wanted to add USB-C to my SP. I tried to solder in one of the FunnyPlaying USB-C modules and I ended up bridging two of the pads on the motherboard without realizing it. When I plugged a USB-C cable in to test it out, it started smoking and it quickly burned a deep crater in to the PCB where those two pads were bridged. I pretty much ruined that motherboard and now I use it for parts. This particular mod looks way simpler since you only have to solder the module to one of the pads. it's also way easier to see the solder joint, which makes it less likely that you will bridge any of the pads without noticing.
Do they sell it international and also it does not have any sound problems when doing that right? Cause if some mod like usb c convertion have side effect like sound problem
Check on the website if they ship overseas, I know ZedLabz ship internationally. Sound wise as I stated in the video you can't use the headphones through the USB-C with this kit. But the sound through the speaker is fine
@@JoeBleeps oh the problem was only the headphone jack like the ones you use to connect those airpod with wire yeah? Oh.... I dont actually need it but if there is other ways or other kit that could do fine with the headphone jack would be great
Doesn't This seem rather redundant you can actually buy USB cables off Amazon for your Nintendo device now I have two cables one for the old Nintendo DS in one for the new one You don't really need to worry about where

That's really helpful information, thank you!
Good job again sir!
Thank you!

It's a really nicely designed kit. As I said, the hard part is removing the old one! Installation is a breeze by comparison
I’m so torn between maintaining my all original SP or slapping an IPS and USB-C mod. Any thoughts? Great video, very clean solder work!
Get a junk GBASP and use that one for modding. You can have the best of both worlds.
@@drivenbyfate I was going to suggest the same! I still have my launch SP in silver and it's immaculate
@@JoeBleeps sounds like a solid plan!
Such a good mod, good work.
Thank you! 🙏
Brilliant video. Can I ask what do you use as a mask? Do you use kapton tape or something else?
Got it in one. Kapton is amazing stuff
@@JoeBleeps perfect, cheers.

@@JoeBleeps truly the best feature but ig it can't be helped you gotta make sacrifices to pave another way
@@Galaxian-WWX-001 leaves room for more mods. For me, a board with usb-c and 3.5mm stereo squeezed in there would be perfect.

I kind of agree with you. I bought a load of those cables. Can never find them when I need them so although it's unnecessary it's very convenient!
Hi sir 😊 😃
