      It's the manufacturers' job to make customers understand fully and accurately the values of their products, so if the U12+ is underrated, it's HTC to blame.

    The noise in HTC U12 Plus means less muddier low light photos.Overall,when it comes to picture quality HTC is more of what you see in my opnion,from detail to color reproduction so it is better.The S9 plus seems to be better on video(day time) but with some updates HTC will be as good but not better.I love the edge sense 2 and the "buttons" on the U12 and the aperture of samsung can be an excellent addition for the pro capture in the near future.Both beautiful and powerful devices but I ll go with the HTC U12 Plus.

    • @scourge_1
      @scourge_1 6 лет назад

      Cristi Soare HTC also sits above the s9+ on DXO MARK and below the Huawei P20 pro

    • @cristisun184
      @cristisun184 6 лет назад +2

      Moaaz Arshad I am aware of dxo mark but from what I know it doesn't cover all the aspects.From all the samples that I've seen the P20 Pro can be the best device in some professional hands,in Pro mode otherwise,in my opinion is the third device when it comes to camera after the HTC U12 and the Pixel 2.On the video side,at this moment the Samsung is the best(day) but for a pro,in my opinion,Lg V30 is above all.

    I personally think the HTC u12+ looks better in most shots. 9 times out of ten in would rather have a less detailed photo with less exposure compared to a little more detailed photo that is over exposed and over saturated. This is very close! Great cameras on both phones.

  • @makeshagent

    As usual HTC most underrated brand...

  • @BradFennell1966
    @BradFennell1966 6 лет назад +4

    In most cases with low light on phone cameras the less noise can be attributed to heavier smoothing. While the smoothed image may look better at first glance the HTC One will have Sharper detail. All goes to personal preference. In 70 % of the shots I'd go with HTC. There were a few that had a slight color cast toward teal in the sky. Really cannot go wrong with either

    • @dannywinget
      @dannywinget  6 лет назад

      Nah can’t say that 70% of those shots went to the U12+. A lot of shots the U12 lacked detail too. Noise reduction is the key and when the u12 hits it looks good. When it doesn’t it looks super noisy. Consistency is the key and that’s why the S9 won overall.

    I agree some shots were better on one then better on the other, but c'mon, your not being true if you picked the S9 + overall in comparison. I do agree video was better on the S9, but easily the U12 had better overall images, even lowlight shots were better on the U12. And it was a no contest when it came to the front shooters, easy win for U12

    The U 12 plus took clearer and sharper pictures with far more detail and better color. You could see and read everything from the u 12 0lus while it was blurry on the Samsung. I don't know what's wrong with your eyes dude. Easy win for the HTC!!

  • @Samosayummyyay

    Considering both phones have similar quality, how about the process of taking a picture? How about holding focus? How about getting focus? From what I can tell from this video and judging by your judgment is that the S9+ is consistent in what it delivers whereas the U12+ is not. Consistency translates to reliability which is what should let the U12+ either stand tall or cause it's downfall. We know that the S9+ is reliable however I could not deduce that regarding the U12+ in this video. Nonetheless, thanks for the comparision test! I underestimated the image quality of the U12+ only to be warmly surprised by it's stellar performance.

    Great comparison - really helps narrow things down.
    I'm in the market for a new phone and have been watching similar comparison videos and time after time it seems that the audio recording on the S9+ is inferior to every other phone it's matched up against. Samsung has a great camera on their phone but they seem to have botched that.

    The noise that you described for low light, It's actually a matter of taste. Samsung uses heavy noise reduction to produce a more uniform image, HTC isn't as aggressive, letting more texture and detail through (you can see that if you shoot a fabric or similar). Personally, I prefer the U12.

      Justin no they weren't. The htc cameras were not as good as the samsung's before specially the htc 10. The u11 and u12+ gives samsung a 50-50 competition. And still htc is not considered as one of the best smartphone cameras. But I think it should be.

    Because my phone was stolen I'm again using a Samsung Galaxy S4, it remains me my problem with Samsung is all the phones become potato phones after some months, great if you change phones once or twice a year, but have no long term life being honest, I don't know about the HTC phones but being both phone really good with the cameras I think it's just matter of taste and experience, also for which kind of pictures you like to capture, again any choice could be a good one.

      Galaxy note 5 and all galaxies before it, crazy lag in all systems apps especially phone app after maybe 2 months with a phone.

    We've pretty much hit a day and age where cam comparisons are getting redundant. If you're buying a top line phone from about any manufacturer, expect the camera's to be ace either way. If we really need better pic/video quality than this, get a dedicated camera. Phone lenses and Optical zooms will never compare to a proper camera

    Android Headlines had the very best HTC U 12 PLUS CAMERA REVIEW. A TRUTHFUL ONE!! It kills the S9 plus and every other smartphone. It's the best in the business by far! Watch it yourself!!

      It’s great. It gets worn overtime but I like it. Been using it for 3 months.

    Maybe it's a bit better camera on S9+, but generally U12 + is a better device, HTC is my choice.
