One of most romantic album I ever heard... I love movie... Thank you Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep... 80 s lives on...
It's 2022 and still listening to this extraordinary orchestral soundtrack - what a transcendent joy, always. And the last scene where DeNiro makes the turn-around to run after her? Just the best. He went with his heart, not his head. Hey fellas - it doesn't take much. And it's free. I mean we're not asking for the Hope Diamond and we don't want a luxury handbag from Valentino or Versace. On the fence about a relationship? Or want to move things along little faster? Try the DeNiro way. Tell your lady you'll meet her in an open area somewhere and -- when you get there and finally have her in your eye sight - just run towards her. Run and hug her and don't let go. Works every time.
Recently got this soundtrack CD from an auction site and I am really happy about it. Only 1,000 copies in the world. Love this movie!

WOW, Again and again and again it makes me feel in love with life, and thankful for all I have. My parents passed away, I'm single, but I see wonderful all around me most of the time, and when it's not good, life happens, I see this movie again, with my favorite actor and actress, and this music is so special!!!, I supper, great and I want more of life!!!! There is a uniqueness to the style of Dave Grusin writing. He's not like any other film score composer. His chord progressions are sometimes SO unpredictable which is why I love his scores so much.

Dave Grusin's music is what made this movie so great! He wrote another such wonderful score for the movie 'Mulholland Falls'!
Another one of his great soundtrack score is the motion picture, Random Heart with Harrison Ford.

I saw the movie in 1985 and I loved the movie (New York!) and I tried so many years to find the soundtrack. And... years later a friend had a tape of David Gruisin in his car... The same day I bought 3 albums of David Gruisin. My goal is to ride the Norhern Metro and to play Gruisin .

Absolutely overjoyed to be listening to Dave Grusin's wonderful soundtrack. Evokes memories of a special film. On my first visit to New York in 2006 I made for Rizzoli's bookstore and even though it wasn't the original one, I wandered around with this music playing in my head!

Saw the movie last month... totally, indefinitely fallen in love.. Meryl Streep does it with her eyes every time and Robert De Niro is a classic lover, a pure master to watch on screen falling in love. Their moments were palpable, it seems tangible within oneself!! Pure Art♡♡ And also this entire score keeps me going light when heavy inside! Sheer Magic ♡

Jep, this jazz style is really only jazz i can listen. I think his composing ability overcome jazz as genre. He just compose universal music with taste of jazz. Jazz that is uplifting unles like a "standard" jazz. And that is one of best combination as we can hear :) Benoit is similar. Thanks for upload!

What a simple yet amazingly beautiful film. Plus it shows me at least that life was indeed more simple in the eighties and therefore people were happier because their minds were less cluttered.
Dave is such a great maximum master and it was specially inspired in this movie, here in Brazil called "Amor à Primeira Vista". With two great iconic stars as De Niro and Meryl in the screen, it can't be wrong at the end. Love always win. And with this sweet music, even more.

Oh wow! I just loved the film, "Falling in Love"; I first saw it with my then partner when we were on the verge of breaking up back in the late 1980s; which I remember made me feel kinda sad. I just loved the film and the gorgeous soundtrack. I bought the DVD of the film some years ago; it is one of my favourite romantic tales; Merryl Streep and Robert Di Niro are two of the best actors ever. Thanks for posting this, Soundtrack Fred. Another one to revisit - simply beautiful.

Nobody but nobody composes motion picture soundtrack music as good as Dave Grusin IMHO.

I remember watching this movie when I was around 15 years old in mid 80`s, it blew me away in acting, story and certainly the music, never had a movie touched me so much, still my favourite love story ever, brilliant.

The Cd is quiet expensive, indeed.
Well, the producers decided (as usual) to limit their release to just 1000 copies, instead of bringing out a regular release. So it stays quiet hidden for the collectors only, which is how it simply should not be. I am sorry, but I hope you can enjoy this bit of music, anyway!
