My parents passed away, I'm single, but I see wonderful all around me most of the time, and when it's not good, life happens, I see this movie again, with my favorite actor and actress, and this music is so special!!!, I supper, great and I want more of life!!!! He went with his heart, not his head. Hey fellas - it doesn't take much. And it's free. I mean we're not asking for the Hope Diamond and we don't want a luxury handbag from Valentino or Versace. On the fence about a relationship? Or want to move things along little faster? Try the DeNiro way. Tell your lady you'll meet her in an open area somewhere and -- when you get there and finally have her in your eye sight - just run towards her. Run and hug her and don't let go. Works every time.

Absolutely overjoyed to be listening to Dave Grusin's wonderful soundtrack. Evokes memories of a special film. On my first visit to New York in 2006 I made for Rizzoli's bookstore and even though it wasn't the original one, I wandered around with this music playing in my head!
I saw the movie in 1985 and I loved the movie (New York!) and I tried so many years to find the soundtrack. And... years later a friend had a tape of David Gruisin in his car... The same day I bought 3 albums of David Gruisin. My goal is to ride the Norhern Metro and to play Gruisin .
In my opinion the best romantic film ever, Meryl Streep and Rober de Niro plays so well and the emotions goes through the screen and into my soul and heart, the music is fantastic and brings tears in my eyes. Saw the movie last month... totally, indefinitely fallen in love.. Meryl Streep does it with her eyes every time and Robert De Niro is a classic lover, a pure master to watch on screen falling in love. Their moments were palpable, it seems tangible within oneself!! Pure Art♡♡ And also this entire score keeps me going light when heavy inside! Sheer Magic ♡
When Dave Grusin's music comes on, I want to fall in love all over again. I want to believe in loving people again even if I have been hurt in the past. It suddenly becomes the same feeling no matter where it comes from. His music is magic!

A deserved requested score, by Dave Grusin. The composer provides a delicate modern jazz score to a great love story, but how lovely it can get! This could be something even for people who are not connected at all with jazzy music. Enjoy!
Jep, this jazz style is really only jazz i can listen. I think his composing ability overcome jazz as genre. He just compose universal music with taste of jazz. Jazz that is uplifting unles like a "standard" jazz. And that is one of best combination as we can hear :) Benoit is similar. Thanks for upload!

Oh wow! I just loved the film, "Falling in Love"; I first saw it with my then partner when we were on the verge of breaking up back in the late 1980s; which I remember made me feel kinda sad. I just loved the film and the gorgeous soundtrack. I bought the DVD of the film some years ago; it is one of my favourite romantic tales; Merryl Streep and Robert Di Niro are two of the best actors ever. Thanks for posting this, Soundtrack Fred. Another one to revisit - simply beautiful.
What a simple yet amazingly beautiful film. Plus it shows me at least that life was indeed more simple in the eighties and therefore people were happier because their minds were less cluttered.

Another one of his great soundtrack score is the motion picture, Random Heart with Harrison Ford.
My go to Grusin score has always been "On Golden Pond".
