Nothing beats the rush of finding a huge timesave and optimizing the hell out of it. For anyone interested in playing, we have a super helpful community for newbies and WRs are still constantly shifting hands! My brothers and I have been laughing so hard about how it seems half of these comments are regular Alpharad viewers, but then the other half is every Neon White player formally handing you their business card and telling you they're always hiring. I've never seen such widespread polite-yet-manic enthusiasm before.

Genuinely if there were Neon White speedrun racing events I'd be down for Alpharad to be the "main" community commentator, that'd be sick. He knows this game and knows how to engage us in it.

I like how given that Alpharad shows everybody's time at the end of each level, viewers can also set up a 10 minute timer and see how they place if they were also hypothetically part of the tournament.
I'm seeing a lot of people talk about psychological torture, but honestly it just looked like they were constantly improving and having fun

AHHH, it’s so good to see people acknowledge this game, it was the first game I ever beat to 100%, and it was genuinely such an experience for me, learning all the routes, figuring out speed strats, everything it was honestly life changing cause it changed how I viewed the world. It was cause of this game that I had actually stopped my own suicide, I just enjoyed it so much that it made me forget how much time was passing and before I knew it, it was a week past the date I planned to end it all, and I’m so glad that I’m still around, cause now I got watch one of my favorite RUclipsrs make others play even just a small bit of the game that saved my life. Neon White saved my life so I’m glad others get to experience this amazing game

Getting good at a game competitively really just means getting good at practicing efficiently
Here's what happened when i saw this stream:
-Funny Speedrunning Tournament looked cool
-Bought Neon White
-Played Neon White
-Physically could not move on to next level without an Ace medal
-Then grinded all Red medals
-Did one White Level Rush
-Played until my level rush was sub 50....
Yeah the game is fantastic
When the game was first announced, I was hyped as hell and to see one of my favorite content creators show off this to more people makes me so happy. Neon White will always be in my top 10 games of all time
This stream was amazing, loved seeing them all slowly figure out the game, their reactions to first discovering the abilities was amazing
As an active runner of this game it's both surreal and great to see it getting more attention, thanks for the great content, Alpharad! Your global time was a goal to beat for me for a while.

I walked into Neon White the day it came out with absolutely 0 expectations because I just happened to find it on the steam front page. What I got was an experience that I'll probably never get again. Music 10/10, Gameplay loop 10/10, Vibes 11/10. I had never played a "speedrun" game like this before, and I'm so glad I started when the game came out. Every map I would try to get top 100 at least before moving on, and I don't think you could really do that anymore without putting hundreds of hours into gameplay mechanics or exploit practicing.

Neon White was actually really good, didn't expect to fall in love with a speedrunning game since im not a very competitive person by nature, but this kinda awakened something in me, to keep trying to push the times, send a screenshot to the friend that got me to play it and an image of Kiryu from yakuza flipping him off, telling him to get on and beat it xD good times
It so fun watching people play a game that I could beat them at that are not just my friends(except Alfa)

If you like this game, then you should play ultrakill, it has longer levels while still being able to go way to fast, there is no card system though

I'd been following this game since its announcement in a Nintendo Direct, but seeing Jo play this on stream a few weeks after the Alpharad Gold video was what made me cave in and get this game. Getting red medals on everything feels amazing, and for once grinding feels fun. Good game :)

As someone with a top 10 run of the *SUPERIOR* rush mode in this game, I agree whole-heartedly. PLEASE BUY THIS GAME. I was never interested in speedrunning ANYTHING before this. It's just so easy to think that "Oh I can do better" and that feeling of accomplishment when you do is so addicting

This video is what got me into Neon White (though admittedly several months later) and it’s so fun to come back and watch how everyone approaches it.
I know it’s not in the spirit of the tournament, but I would have loved to see how the players that got eliminated early handled the later levels.

Dude I love this game so much. A friend played the game before me and I decided to be a kind and respectful person and beat every single one of their times. That’s when I found out about Red Medals. I proceeded to unlock every Red Medal in the game. Genuinely one of the best times I’ve had with a game like this.
Also yes please get this game and replay the levels. I’m not a big fps guy but this game is just so fun.

I love that Alpharad’s speed game portfolio is Huniepop, Mario Odyssey, probably some other things I’m forgetting and now neon white
If I were to ever suggest watching the vod of a vid it would be this one. Watching them figure the tech out slowly and improve on their times was well paced, very tense and enjoyable.
I'm so glad to see you giving this game a boost. I feel like it has just been slept on since release. It was easily one of my favorite games of 2022.

Never before have I wished I was a bigger streamer to participate in a challenge like this. Neon White is so flippin good, and props to the competitors. Keep up the awesome content dude!
One thing to recommend about this game is to check out the soundtrack. There are so many amazing artists and just looking into some of their other music you can find some new genres to check out if you are not much for exploring music taste.
This is so well timed, I just picked up Neon White a couple months ago, and it's so much fun. I highly recommend it.

Watching this reminded me of the one lesson I learned playing Neon White, in most levels, if you don't hear the exit open the moment you reach it, you have more seconds to shave.
highly recommend the game. it is on PC, ps4/ps5, switch, and is coming to xbox at some point. get it on PC if you can but any of the platforms work well. the neon white speed run community is open to all skill levels and will help you learn strategies and routes

After watching you play it on Gold for the first time, I immediately knew I needed to try this game.

i've been really into neon white lately, playing it on every device i can download it onto, and of course watching every video on it i can. seeing alpharad upload this stream on his main channel was such a delight, and i hope it inspires more people to get into this amazing game and inspire a renewed community behind it because i desperately need more friends into neon white
